  • All I know from my christian parents is that christianity=love. Period. Thats the bottom line. All that other crap is minor.

  • well said .. :) that's soo true

  • You seem like you'd make a pretty good dad to me.

  • Let me tell you something...ok. God hates fags.

  • Lord willing i can one day troll my fellow man as you do master. You have to be one of the best trolls in the world, god bless brother.

  • I think when someone objects to people wearing a T-shirt with a skull, they are usually objecting to the negative connotation being implied. This distaste for negative expressionism borders on pious indignity, and, although the right of the detesting, is just a bit snobbish. I've worn T-shirts with skulls on them before, heck, I own a T shirt with a Halo 3 Legendary Difficulty symbol(alien skull over a shield with two swords) but that doesn't mean I support death. Let others lead this own walk.

  • Hey--maybe we SHOULD all wear chothes with pictures of skulls. We SHOULD remember death--as the Bible prescribes! But then again, maybe the symbol of the skull has lost its symbolic power over the years.

  • Oh boy, here come the flood of hundreds of angry Christians to participate in yet ANOTHER youtube comment war.

  • hopefully it wont be too bad this time... :) Lord willing.

  • I hope your not referring to me, im not angry at all, nor do I care that much about this issue.

I just keep getting angry people commenting back.

  • Lol that's how it always starts my friend

  • I'm so sick of the judgemental Christianity. A skull is anti-christian. I've been told this before too, because my son wore a pirate shirt. Good grief that's history, and on top of it all who designed the skull??? We're going to let people take something God created and let people use it for evil? And rock? Please. The style of music is not important, but the content of the music. You are dead on here Chris. Let the divisive, sew devision elsewhere, Jesus is Lord and Judge here.

  • Personally, I find nothing wrong with "judgmental" Christianity. The things people say should make you think, not make you get angry.

Why is it a few people have dull reasoning why it should be alright to wear things with skulls on them? Why justify it? Why cant people say something similar to what ChristoferL said?

He even had a problem with the shirt initially.

I'm getting quite sick of people criticizing other Christians for being judgmental when those criticizing do the same.

  • And for the record, I dont care what people wear. I would be satisfied if someone said they wore something or liked something because they just do.

There's no use justifying it with lame points like God created the skull. Yes, God did create it, but that does not negate the glorification of death.

By that same vein, God should be alright with those watching horror movies. God created blood, God created intestines etc.

  • What you think is divisive is not divisive. Most Christians are just making an observation, then people like you go and bite their heads off.

Those defending the use of the skull probably find nothing wrong with Halloween too. Never mind the fact the day was used in pagan celebrations, and still is.

There are just things in this world that aren't worth defending, because there is no way to defend them.

  • "I'm getting quite sick of people criticizing other Christians for being judgmental when those criticizing do the same."-right, think about it. I realize that this is such a dangerous issue (sarcasm), but there are real problems to worry about. "Personally, I find nothing wrong with "judgmental" Christianity.. The things people say should make you think, not make you get angry."-so, what's your problem then Judge? People have no right to defend themselves or give a response? Lets grow up.

  • Of course you can give a response, but you dont have to do so vehemently.

And I agree with you, there are more pressing concerns, which is why you should also just ignore them. If you dont want to listen to the concerns of other Christians, ignore them.

  • You might find nothing wrong with judgemental Christians, unfortunately the Bible disagrees with you on that point.

"why it should be alright to wear things with skulls on them" Why should it not be alright? Listen to the words of Paul who warns us not to make our brothers stumble over something trivial. We are to "make no provision for the body," and to "take no care what you shall wear." It is clear we are not to judge appearances.

    I judge action, not people.

  • If people are offended by shirts with skulls on them are they also offended by heads with skulls in them, or just heads with brains in them? Or maybe they are offended by the one who made the skulls-seriously is this an issue who cares people need to get lives there are important things to worry about.

  • I was thinking about this earlier before seeing the video. We are now in the generation of offended complainers...

  • Rock Rock Rock HA Haaaaa

  • You can not raise "christian" kid unless God calls and choses them. You can indoctrinate kids and teach them to sit in the pews and do religion about Christ. Most of the people in the church don't have Him, but they have religion about Him.

  • I'm a Teenaged-Adult.. so idk if that really counts, but man I think my parents may have saves my soul by not being overbearingly strict with me. You see I'm one of those hyper-analytical types who you would expect to be n atheist, the kind of guy who thinks in numbers and assigns pointless philosophical symbolism to stupid things. If my parents had tried to control me, I sometimes wonder if I would have fallen into the DELUSION that is atheism. It really is just New World Order propaganda.

  • You know of the NWO, that's awesome. And as I said before, I agree with this video. It's not really good to be overbearing.

  • A person can still think your opinion means nothing in their own head without saying anything. Not that I was doing that.

I never said my opinion was better than yours, you can take what I said or leave it. I'm not going to try to force you. I am not self-righteous, not at all.

Nor am I sanctimonious or pretentious. You are giving me labels that are not at all true.

And its not like if I started a ministry channel you would start believing me.

  • I'm not really sure what it is I said to make you react this way.

Alot of people assume that I have an ego trip based on the things I say. Besides, you are getting mad because you think I am exalting my opinion over yours. But aren't you doing the exact same thing?

I'm sorry if I dont think very highly of opinions, no one does really. Everyone is biased towards their own opinion. What separates these people are those that voice them and those that dont.

  • No, I am not one of these "goons" that chastened him over the shirt. Even if I saw it, I wouldn't have said anything about it.

Man, what kind of comment is that anyway. Goon, really?

All I did was try to inform you that your line of thinking was false. Of course, this wouldn't be the first time someone looked on my profile just to see what kind of Christian I was.

  • I assure you Auslander, I am no troll. I would have people know, not every Christian is the same, not every Christian would be as perfect as others would like them to be.

I have things on my channel that are questionable to others, but that doesn't make me a troll, nor does that make me false.

  • This is the first I've heard from J.E. to be honest- though J.E. sounds like em... no offense J.E.

  • I must also mention the motive for the creation of that shirt. Clothing with skulls or other emblems of death on them are very popular these days.

Why? Well, its known by many that secret societies are making their mark to get the world to accept them. Get the populace conditioned.

Such as the 'Skull & Bones' for instance. It's also popular to see the All Seeing Eye on things these days as well. There is more to this world than meets the eye, there is more than just the surface.

  • Forgive me - Judge - but I hardly think this T-Shirt is part of a world wide conspiracy to get my daughter to accept secret societies.... and if it is I believe it is an epic fail.

  • I would never say it was a world wide conspiracy, it is not. Clothing is but one medium they use to enforce their symbolism. Movies and Music is an even bigger medium.

And its not to accept them, its to condition them to ignore them. The more they see the symbols, the more desensitized they get to them.

Why, for instance, how long has that capless pyramid been on the dollar bill? People see this stuff for so long that people start dismissing it as anything more than some picture.

  • Judge - interestingly enough - I have to ask what grounds u have to criticize the skull shirt when you are playing final fantasy - a game which you highlight on your channel that features violence - magic - and all sorts of pagan poison - if you will...

  • You have a right to be suspicious, I dont blame you.

I am a gamer and have been since I was small. I am also quite the horror fan, although I know God doesn't like those movies. To be honest though, I dont watch them as often as I used to.

But I wasn't really condemning the shirt, just making others aware of the siliness to justify wearing something portraying a skull.

I would never defend Dragon Ball Z or Final Fantasy. They aren't worth defending in this area.

  • Its also funny you mention Final Fantasy being featured on my profile. Because I was JUST thinking about that. If someone comes to my profile for the first time, I want them to see an important video that will make them think.

A video about the Illuminati maybe or something about the Bible. So I am going to move those videos down my profile and move the important ones up.

  • Judge 0 for the record - I am not judging your channel - just pointing to something I would call a hypocrisy in defense of my daughter...

  • And as I said, I dont blame you. I knew you brought up FF because of the subject of hypocrisy. I believe sometimes we all can be hypocrites at some points. But to varying degrees.

I dont want to sound like an idiot, I dont want to offend you nor your daughter. I hope I didn't leave a bad impression.

I take to heart practically what anyone says, so forgive me if some of my comments appeared a bit strong.

  • While I definitely agree with what ChristopherL said in this video, I also disagree with what you are getting at.

Just because Calvary means skull doesn't mean we have permission to flaunt skulls on our clothing. By that same logic, we should start taking part in Mass too.

The reason I say that is because the Romans named the place where Jesus died at, not Jesus Himself. Just as the Roman Catholics created the Mass.

  • Judge - but isn't that the same logic that Christians use to wear the cross - or the crucifix?

  • Yes, I believe you are right. That's kind of the reason why I dont wear a cross. Although, its a persons business if they choose to wear one.

I dont usually make a big deal out of it.

  • Auslander thats a fantastic point....

  • hey, sorry for going off topic, but:

what program do you use for those opening credits?

    =D

  • MWM - Its imovie 09 - for the mac - :)

  • thanks.

oh, you Mac users think your so cool!!!!

  • (Many) America Christians are all screwed up... hehe

They complain about a skull, which incidentally, God created... yet many of them wear a cross, which when ya think about it was a "tool" for putting Jesus to death...

Why not wear a emblem of Jesus RISING OUT OF THE GRAVE instead of what was used to execute Him?

Eh... the fundies / Pharisees of our day are oh so touchy... and just like the Pharisees in Jesus time totally miss that which is really important.

    2.5 cents

  • Agreed.

  • I agree with you Chris

  • Becoming one with Christ is something that the person must do on their own, it cannot be forced into by someone else.

  • Who is our ultimate model of father? Well, the number one. THE Father.

And, what does He do if we wear a skull on our shirt?

  • Nothing?

  • Basicly nothing, he may not like it but he tolerates it.

Besides there is nothing saying "It is a sin to wear a picture of a skull" or anything similliar to that.

  • Look - its like this - say I forbid the shirt be worn by my daughter - she then grows resentful - and it leads to her doing things that really are out of line just to stick it to me - why? Because she is old enough to make up her own mind. We aren't talking about a ten yr old here - she's nearly 17, readying to go off to college... etc...

  • You need to make her understand first why it is why you are not allowing something.. Show it from the scriptures.. We shouldn't defile the temple of the Holy Ghost.. with nothing. And that can even be a picture on your shirt. Say a pentagram or hexagram.. You're definately calling up demons if you wear that kind of stuff.. because there is a demon associated with those symbols.. And I don't think the skull and the bones are any different..

This is only a warning on my behalf.

  • 2Cr 2:9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.

    2Cr 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I [forgive] also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave [it], for your sakes [forgave I it] in the person of Christ;

2Cr 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

  • Aho - this would all be so much more meaningful if you weren't a fan of Dragon Ball Z - a show dedicated to super natural violence as everyone is running around trying to claim the balls of the dragon so they can have a wish granted - if my memory serves me right -

  • You are talking about my past. :) but it seems that you also have seen the series.

  • of course I have - I used to be a huge comic/cartoon fan - in my BC days,,,

  • So we used to be alike..

Still I want to make this clear. the video you see in my channel.. was made about 5 years ago and posted 3 years ago, because my uncle suggested it.. but in 5 years I have changed a lot.. from the "christian" I was back then.

I never bothered to find out how to erase that video from my channel.. since I from the beginning thought of my channel only as a place to gather interesting videos..

If you look into my favorites you'll find out what I'm about.

  • I like your approach. Many parents to censor every- single- little- ting end up getting rebellious children or young adults that go utterly nuts then end up in a drug rehab center. The way I see it, let them wear a skull, die their hair purle, play a less than wholsome video game, watch and R rated movie now and again, so when you do put your foot down and censor something, your children will know it isn't arbitrary, and they will have a myriad of other things to choose from.

  • Agreed

  • I can tell you from experience when a parent freaks over everything the child will learn to ignore the parent and block them out.

My Mom freaks out over the smallest things so my brain has adapted to blocking out what she says a lot of the time, it's something I start to do without even trying to she did it so much.

However I was able to find my way to Christ on my own and learn morals on my own but for the average child you will only see rebellion.

Note: My Mom is a deist, not a christian.

  • HalleluYAH Our Father.

Pro.3:7 Pro 4:14 Pro 11:19 Pro 14:16 Pro 16:17.................They are yours to teach as you wish...

    Brother Phil.

  • Wisdom - but once they are adults - they become responsible for themselves - while in the US we call them adults at 18 - they are fully aware of right from wrong - and they are engaged in Christ on their own accord - thus - I can't force anything without provoking them... but I do suggest much...

  • I didn't write the bible Chris and I do understand what your saying and I did it the same way you are doing it.

But if I had it to do over things would not be the same as they were.

    Brother Phil.

  • Oh - I am not opposing what the Bible says - I agree with those passages - I am just saying at this point in their lives they are no longer children - but instead - young adults... thus - needing to decide for themselves whether or not to heed the warnings of scripture.

  • They are only young once and I pray that they keep their eyes on the path of God it is a very evil world and it get more evil everyday. I will pray for you and your loves one brother Chris that is really all we can do anymore just pray they see something in us that keep them from the sins of this world and keep their hearts on the world of God. Some people don't think satan is real but if we look close we can see him at work real hard in this last season..

    Brother Phil.

  • the only one responsible for doing the things you do in your life is you

  • I agree with you Chris. It can be very tough for kids who are Christians to be raised up in this day and age. If they were doing drugs or having sex or things like that, then you should put your foot down, but if it's just a t-shirt? I don't really see the problem their. I have no doubt that you are a good father my friend. May the Lord bless you and your family.

  • How can it be tough, Jordon, if by your standards, God has made his choice already? It's not like they can choose to follow God by your beliefs.

It's tough to bring kids up period, whatever faith, but oh yes it's easier for atheist kids to fall than Christian ones right? Guess that explains the exploding teenage pregnancies amongst Christian families

  • Ashe - Actually - I think Christian children who are brought up in an overly pressurized setting tend to be the ones 'exploding' in rebellion... I remember the song from 38 special - or at least the chorus - hold on loosely - but don't let go - if you cling too tightly - your gonna lose control...

  • I wish I could agree with that, living in a society where I have seen children persecuted for believing in anything but the Christian God by Christian children, which I have to say is the vast majority in this country, and you know it.

It's harder to be anything other than openly Christian Child in America and you know it. I'll tell you what makes these kids fall, it's not being educated in what they should know, nothing to do with so called peer pressure

  • How is it I agreed with you but you disagree with my agreement of what you said? lol - "It's tough to bring kids up period, whatever faith, but oh yes it's easier for atheist kids to fall than Christian ones right? Guess that explains the exploding teenage pregnancies amongst Christian families" as for your observation - I dunno what state you're living in - but in Mass its far harder to be a Christian student then an atheist.

  • Context Chris focus on the context

Kids are difficult to bring up altogether, I didn't say Christian kids were any easier, only that they provide more peer pressure certain other groups.

I also think with my migraine I half read your state, apologies :p

  • "It's harder to be anything other than openly Christian Child in America and you know it."

I grew up as a non-Christian child and have no idea what you are talking about.

  • I hear that a lot

  • Around here if your a openly non christian kid around through middle and high school ages, you are openly discriminated against to the point of bullying.

  • Particularly by some teachers I noticed

  • Where I'm from all christians are kind and loving like they are supposed to be. No one has to hide if they are atheist or not.

That's why I was so shocked when I made a christian file on YouTube to learn how discriminating christians are in other areas.

  • A skull shirt Chris? I'm SHOCKED. It's a GATEWAY SHIRT. Its the first stepping stone a long and gruesome journey on the road to becoming a serial killer. BURN THE SHIRT

  • Matt 16:18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

So long as they remain in Christ - I've got no worries...

  • YOU ROCK!

  • mig - Glory be to God - I'm just doing my best to follow Him...

  • Amen!
