This was actually an elbow. It was a FAILED punch by Hussein. If you were able to see and listen to the news before the weigh-in of that fight, Pacquiao was still on the track trying to lose some weight. This was actually an elbow. It was a FAILED punch by Hussein. If you watch the slow motion, his jab slided from pacman's face and the elbow hit him in the cheek bone, it was pretty much same as if someone threw a stone at him. Elbow is bone only it's a hard impact. Ref didn't see this. If we'd go by the book, pacman should've had 5 minutes to recover after this foul.

Cotto was rocked in the lower divisions, nowadays against bigger buys is rocked way less. Gatti was rocked way more in lower divisions. Roy Jones Jr took steroids and didn't get rocked in the heavyweight division but then, lower division, vs Tarver... well you know, he got really rocked lol

Some fighters get much better with age. Bernard Hopkins for example, Lennox Lewis, George Foreman became a much more technical machine in his grey days as a heavyweight. Roy Jones was the truth when he was young and slowed down when he got old. Manny has improved into a much better fighter since his knockout losses.

By the way, Pacquiao also got rocked by Marquez during their second fight in round 2. That was when Marquez landed a left jab when Pacquiao was off-balance. If you were able to see and listen to the news before the weigh-in of that fight, Pacquiao was still on the track trying to lose some weight. Pac at 130 was dehydrated that's why he decided to move up to 135 after that.

That was a jab that almost looked like a left hook that landed right on the jaw. Anybody at flyweight would have been Koed by that kind of punch from then undefeated, Nadel Hussein.

Aside from that, the then undefeated Nadel was a descent hard hitter. If you will look closely, it's not really a jab, it's more of a counter-left hook that landed flash on the chin. Pacquiao has been tested negative for steroids and for any peds by the NSAC since the 1st time he fought in the U.S. If the urine test is insufficient, Well he already agreed to the random blood test demanded by Floyd, but still Floyd doesn't want to fight. He said many times before in interview he struggles to make 147, sometimes even starving himself to make the weight. That's why his KO% has dropped over the years. Anyway, I hear he's moving up to 154 now- so expect his KO% to rise significantly now.
Pacquiao isn't a natural welterweight either, he is force-fed 5 meals a day just to make 145 lb's.
