I used to have 30 cats, 45 dogs and 26 parakeets but I couldn't keep them.it made me cry when they took them away and this made me cry to.I still wish I could change the world.
I don't think a video has ever made me cry so hard. This is the reason why I volunteer at the animal shelter. To prevent these meaningless deaths, to promote animal adoption. Because you know what? Every animal in there deserves a home. Deserves to be loved. Every DAMN one of them. People need to find their hearts, because I'm not sure where they went.

I remember we had to take my dog to the pound because my mom was allergic to her. I cried myself to sleep for months thinking about her I could never find a spot in my heart to forgive my mom for making me go with her to the pound.
ii wached it over and over again and cryed each time.i love animals and i always will.last year i had a dog that was sooo good and she was in pain. we decided to put her down because she was limping over 2 years. i cry in my sleep because she is gone.i have a new dog and her name is scout.(my old dog is sydney) scout is realy bad but i love her.i know it isent her fault she chews evrything. i think it is because they are both boxers.i really dont want her to go to the shelter.im so glad to shar

I'm for breeders and shelters, but something in between happened to me. I thought I was getting a pedigree mini schnauzer from a breeder, and I did, but he had an ear infection, respiratory problems, and dirty dog syndrome. It took us 2 years to cure pattern of ear infections, but he still wheezes and poops anywhere he wants. When ever I watch Beverley Hills Chihuahua, he always starts crying when he sees the dogs locked up in cages. In a way, he's been telling me about his past...
Seriously crying... I wanna grop up and save all the animals in shelter that get killed after a period of time... what they do to these poor animals is just not right... they need to get a life :"(
Don't buy a dog(pet) if u can't afford to give any TLC and proper guidance - Be RESPONSIBLE! If u can, ADOPT from an animal shelter instead of buying from a breeder/pet store!!!! They're all waiting to be put down sooner or later, so SAVE A LIFE!

I adopted one cat , found a free give away kitten and bought my pit bull puppy yesterday on july 4th for 20 bucks from a breeder . let me tell ya about animals from shelters they got behavior problems thats why their there . I gave adoption a try and my adopted cat has behior problems , he scratches my sofa when I'm not home going out doing stuff like walking my dog and hanging with friends . my cat has problems . my kitten is stable
@southkoreaeatsdogs Your statement is nonsense. A good percent of shelter dogs are there because nobody wants them, or they "don't have time for them". Some are there for behavior problems that the owners don't want to help fix, and instead, give up on the animals. Some are there because their families had to move, and couldn't take them with them. Some are there for just pure irresponsible owners.

@fml3131 I'm no God Send lol...but I do love animals haha...I've noticed alot of comments about things like why the shelter picks up strays just to kill them..these people should really go in and spend some time at a shelter..And I'm not being sarcastic at all because honestly I felt the same way before I actually knew what goes on there...The shelter will pick up a stray for sure..But thats only because they don't want them to be hurt in anyway, or hungry. @reininghorses57 my cats dead i got it euthanized , it has tons of behavioval problems it jump on my kitchen stove and accidently step on the switch that turn on the stove , that was the last straw so i got it euthanized and the shelter euthanized it , I brought it back there hoping the shelter would take it back , they said they would just euthanized it if tha cat is like that , so I signed the euthansia papers and my cat died on october 2 2011 , my cat was born 9-29-2009 .

I volunteered at the Humane Society of Central Washington I go there on Tuesdays to walk dogs! Every Tuesday when I go there I try to find the dogs I saw a week ago to see if they got adopted some don't which is really sad. :( I hope that every dog there will find their dream home and not bite anyone or else they get put down.

@wrathofachilles100 Yeah, unfortunately enough, it does still happen. Hundreds of dogs and cats are put down because of overcrowding. Some shelters don't hold animals for a long time either... It's very sad. That's why the Spay/Neuter suggestion comes into play. It's population control mainly for stray dogs and cats. If an owner chooses not to spay/neuter their pets, it's their right, but they should also control their pet and make sure they're not roaming the streets getting other strays prego.
@wrathofachilles100 Actually, Animal Control Officers do a lot of humane cases like stopping animal abuse and cruelty. When an animal is brought into a shelter it is because owners either don't want them or just abandoned them on the side of the road. It's more humane to gently put a dog to sleep than for a dog to get hit by a car and suffer a painful death on the side of the road. That is why we ask for people to adopt from a shelter, to rescue a pet and to spay/neuter for population control.

Please spay and neuter your cats and dogs and if you make a committment, stick to it. Dogs and cats bring so much love into your home and into your heart. Don't give up on them for something that may bother you at the time. The love they return is unconditional, they do not judge you, they only love and need you forever.
You can train any dog to do or not do what you want. My son even has our cat Jack, sit on command. Don't throw any animal away - work with them.

I work at an animal shelter, and can confirm that so many animals are dumped for behavioral reasons that simple training could fix...or my personal favorite, "I'm moving," but they wait until the day before/of the move to try to find people or rescues that will take them. Man, this made me cry! Where I live, there are a lot of stray dogs around. We have a human society, but no one really, y'know, cares for it. They say they can only hold 50 animals. So, I took it upon myself to buy at least 100 bags of dog food, and I fed every single stray for three months straight. Then I bought more. Now, I basically own 20 dogs, but, I'd rather put up with them, then have them thrown in a cramped shelter, and be put down.

Thanks for making this video! I see this on a daily basis. People giving up the animals they took in because their life changed or the commitment was too much for them. It just kills me. Please give to your local shelter or rescue group.. but do your research! There are definitely some crappy groups and shelters out there.

when ever i see a dog being abuse i cry so much my hart herts and then when i see the person who did it i just want to put them in a cage and not feed them and beet them with a stick and see how they like it.
I have one street puppy, now 11 yrs old, and two shelter dogs, one 3 yrs and another 2 months. All my dogs are my life companions. I so wish I could help more.

Well as far as the puppies and purebreeds they get adopted fast!! Its the older dogs and dogs with health problems that dont get adopted!! Trust me I've always said if their was a pomeranian or small dog in the shelter schedule for ethunathia I'd adopt it and save the dog. But everytime I've seen a dog in the toy group its get adopted quick even the older ones!!

Not gonna lie, this video made me cry. My mom and I foster dogs from the shelter down the road from us, the kill rate is so high it's heartbreaking. People really need to learn to spay and neuter their pets and that there are perfectly good dogs at the shelter, you don't have to pay hundreds of dollars for a dog from a breeder when you can save an awesome animal's life for much less.

The pitcure at the end just gets me bawling. How can some people be so cruel? If you don't want the dog, then don't get it! Dogs shouldn't be fawned over as puppies, then tossed into the street like a piece of trash as adults. People get a puppy, thinking it'll stay cute forever. When the puppy grows to it's actual size, they decide it's time to get rid of the dog at the first chance it does something they don't like. Then, they go and do the same thing to another dog.
What's worse, some people promise their dogs that they'll love them forever, then take off, never to return. Then, the dogs wait by the door for weeks, even months (if they live that long without food/water) for their owner, who they think is coming back for them. Then, if people don't get to them in time, they end up dying right at the door, waiting for their master to come back. It's sick, and I think the owners should be treated like dirt for treating their animals that way.
Most animal shelters truly do care and want to find a loving home for the dogs and cats and whatever other animals go there. My dog is a pound puppy and he is the craziest boy ever, I love him to death and he gets to sleep on the foot of my bed every night. I can't imagine him going to a class b dealer. For those that don't know, that means animal testing. Also, before adopting please remember that babies go faster and are kept longer than adults so please consider an elderly friend too.<3
1. i know shelter dogs are forgotten but shelters are NOT dark, cold, and scary. i volunteer at one and we spoil the dogs. they have a pretty good life until they find their forever home.
I cried because my friend's dog was taken to the shelter. :'( He was a good dog, now everytime I go to her house I see the left over dog poop and it reminds me of the good times when I visited her house and my old dog. My mom didn't like him, so he was sent to the shelter. I hoped this wouldn't happen to my friend's dog but it did. I feel so sorry for the shelter dogs T_T

My family of four had a black labrador like no other. She never ever peed in the house or bit a soul. But sadly we had to put her down at age 12(very old) because of a broken leg. We could not let her suffer by limping on a dangling leg. She was and always will be my best friend in the world at i just wanna see her again every time i think about her i cry. I saved many sharing with them all I have, they are part of the family, and also I have a little wildlife around my house that I have to help when they need me but still it's not enough, too many innocents need our help because of the wrong way and habits of the humankind. Lets change all of this by changing our condition, making the shift and taking all animals with us in the new era, The Golden Age.
Three dogs are from shetlers, and there's no way I could drop of any of them, the puppy we found tied up to a tree out in the woods where hardly anyone ever goes walking......she was only five weeks old and was way to skinny! We couldn't bare the thought of the poor little thing in a cage her entire life, so she lives with us now, she's now three mouths old! Best dog ever! My best friend and I take in as many dogs as we can before they go to the shelter and we find them all a good home

Being a volunteer at a no kill Canine Shelter, this video breaks my heart. We really need to educate people. We're the caretakers, we need to be responsible. A very moving and sad video. All shelter animals need a second chance. We just need to make people more aware of it.
great video but now shelters don't put animals done when they are abandoned, there is no limit on how long any animal is in a home for. i have adopted mainly all my dogs in my life from shelters.

I remember we had to take my dog to the pound because my mom was allergic to her. I cried myself to sleep for months thinking about her I could never find a spot in my heart to forgive my mom for making me go with her to the pound.

ii wached it over and over again and cryed each time.i love animals and i always will.last year i had a dog that was sooo good and she was in pain. we decided to put her down because she was limping over 2 years. i cry in my sleep because she is gone.i have a new dog and her name is scout.(my old dog is sydney) scout is realy bad but i love her.i know it isent her fault she chews evrything. i think it is because they are both boxers.i really dont want her to go to the shelter.im so glad to shar

I'm for breeders and shelters, but something in between happened to me. I thought I was getting a pedigree mini schnauzer from a breeder, and I did, but he had an ear infection, respiratory problems, and dirty dog syndrome. It took us 2 years to cure pattern of ear infections, but he still wheezes and poops anywhere he wants. When ever I watch Beverley Hills Chihuahua, he always starts crying when he sees the dogs locked up in cages. In a way, he's been telling me about his past...

I adopted one cat , found a free give away kitten and bought my pit bull puppy yesterday on july 4th for 20 bucks from a breeder . let me tell ya about animals from shelters they got behavior problems thats why their there . I gave adoption a try and my adopted cat has behior problems , he scratches my sofa when I'm not home going out doing stuff like walking my dog and hanging with friends . my cat has problems . my kitten is stable

Some are there for behavior problems that the owners don't want to help fix, and instead, give up on the animals. Some are there because their families had to move, and couldn't take them with them. Some are there for just pure irresponsible owners.

@reininghorses57 my cats dead i got it euthanized , it has tons of behavioval problems it jump on my kitchen stove and accidently step on the switch that turn on the stove , that was the last straw so i got it euthanized and the shelter euthanized it , I brought it back there hoping the shelter would take it back , they said they would just euthanized it if tha cat is like that , so I signed the euthansia papers and my cat died on october 2 2011 , my cat was born 9-29-2009 .

I volunteered at the Humane Society of Central Washington I go there on Tuesdays to walk dogs! Every Tuesday when I go there I try to find the dogs I saw a week ago to see if they got adopted some don't which is really sad. :( I hope that every dog there will find their dream home and not bite anyone or else they get put down.

@wrathofachilles100 Yeah, unfortunately enough, it does still happen. Hundreds of dogs and cats are put down because of overcrowding. Some shelters don't hold animals for a long time either... It's very sad. That's why the Spay/Neuter suggestion comes into play. It's population control mainly for stray dogs and cats. If an owner chooses not to spay/neuter their pets, it's their right, but they should also control their pet and make sure they're not roaming the streets getting other strays prego.

@wrathofachilles100 Actually, Animal Control Officers do a lot of humane cases like stopping animal abuse and cruelty. When an animal is brought into a shelter it is because owners either don't want them or just abandoned them on the side of the road. It's more humane to gently put a dog to sleep than for a dog to get hit by a car and suffer a painful death on the side of the road. That is why we ask for people to adopt from a shelter, to rescue a pet and to spay/neuter for population control.

You can train any dog to do or not do what you want. My son even has our cat Jack, sit on command. Don't throw any animal away - work with them.

I work at an animal shelter, and can confirm that so many animals are dumped for behavioral reasons that simple training could fix...or my personal favorite, "I'm moving," but they wait until the day before/of the move to try to find people or rescues that will take them. Man, this made me cry! Where I live, there are a lot of stray dogs around. We have a human society, but no one really, y'know, cares for it. They say they can only hold 50 animals. So, I took it upon myself to buy at least 100 bags of dog food, and I fed every single stray for three months straight. Then I bought more. Now, I basically own 20 dogs, but, I'd rather put up with them, then have them thrown in a cramped shelter, and be put down.

Thanks for making this video! I see this on a daily basis. People giving up the animals they took in because their life changed or the commitment was too much for them. It just kills me. Well as far as the puppies and purebreeds they get adopted fast!! Its the older dogs and dogs with health problems that dont get adopted!! Trust me I've always said if their was a pomeranian or small dog in the shelter schedule for ethunathia I'd adopt it and save the dog. Not gonna lie, this video made me cry. My mom and I foster dogs from the shelter down the road from us, the kill rate is so high it's heartbreaking. People really need to learn to spay and neuter their pets and that there are perfectly good dogs at the shelter, you don't have to pay hundreds of dollars for a dog from a breeder when you can save an awesome animal's life for much less.

The pitcure at the end just gets me bawling. How can some people be so cruel? If you don't want the dog, then don't get it! Dogs shouldn't be fawned over as puppies, then tossed into the street like a piece of trash as adults. People get a puppy, thinking it'll stay cute forever. When the puppy grows to it's actual size, they decide it's time to get rid of the dog at the first chance it does something they don't like. Then, they go and do the same thing to another dog.

What's worse, some people promise their dogs that they'll love them forever, then take off, never to return. Then, the dogs wait by the door for weeks, even months (if they live that long without food/water) for their owner, who they think is coming back for them. Then, if people don't get to them in time, they end up dying right at the door, waiting for their master to come back. It's sick, and I think the owners should be treated like dirt for treating their animals that way.

Most animal shelters truly do care and want to find a loving home for the dogs and cats and whatever other animals go there. My dog is a pound puppy and he is the craziest boy ever, I love him to death and he gets to sleep on the foot of my bed every night. I can't imagine him going to a class b dealer. For those that don't know, that means animal testing. Also, before adopting please remember that babies go faster and are kept longer than adults so please consider an elderly friend too.<3

1. i know shelter dogs are forgotten but shelters are NOT dark, cold, and scary. i volunteer at one and we spoil the dogs. they have a pretty good life until they find their forever home.

I cried because my friend's dog was taken to the shelter. :'( He was a good dog, now everytime I go to her house I see the left over dog poop and it reminds me of the good times when I visited her house and my old dog. My mom didn't like him, so he was sent to the shelter. I hoped this wouldn't happen to my friend's dog but it did. I feel so sorry for the shelter dogs T_T

omg im so proud of myself for considering a shelter dog, it makes me so upset to see thosee poor babies in those cages just waiting, waiting and waiting for someone. So all I have to say is, please please get a dog or cat from a shelter, they will appreciate and you will feel good too.

My family of four had a black labrador like no other. She never ever peed in the house or bit a soul. But sadly we had to put her down at age 12(very old) because of a broken leg. We could not let her suffer by limping on a dangling leg. She was and always will be my best friend in the world at i just wanna see her again every time i think about her i cry. I love this video very much and i hope sum1 else feels my paine.

yhank you>you have pushed me to help more and try to make a change. wen im older i am going to have an animal shelter and we will not kill and they will not be in cramped cages! i hate people who abuse or kill animals because they do stuff like peeing on furniture or chewing caarpet!!

I saved many sharing with them all I have, they are part of the family, and also I have a little wildlife around my house that I have to help when they need me but still it's not enough, too many innocents need our help because of the wrong way and habits of the humankind. Lets change all of this by changing our condition, making the shift and taking all animals with us in the new era, The Golden Age.

Three dogs are from shetlers, and there's no way I could drop of any of them, the puppy we found tied up to a tree out in the woods where hardly anyone ever goes walking......she was only five weeks old and was way to skinny! We couldn't bare the thought of the poor little thing in a cage her entire life, so she lives with us now, she's now three mouths old! Best dog ever! My best friend and I take in as many dogs as we can before they go to the shelter and we find them all a good home

oh my gosh im in tears right now. i want to go and adopt right now. do a lot of shelters euthanize their dogs and cats? i know their are quite a few no kill shelters around...this is so extremely sad.

@xfbushy yea they have to put the dogs/cats, that they think wont survive, down (Euthanize them :( ) i dont think its fair. AT ALL! DON'T PITY A SHELTER DOG! it's just wrong.and i feel bad for the dogs & cats that were healthy who had to be put down because of, not because they were bad, but the owners were bad. i understand dogs/cats that are vicious and wild, dont pity any animal, or dont put them in a shelter because they pissed on your "fancy carpet shit".i have 4 cats. TRAIN YOUR ANIMALS!!

I used to have 5 dogs and we gave away 4 of them their names were Rosie Quincy B Quincy Zelda and now we have Kirby that`s our only dog.

Being a volunteer at a no kill Canine Shelter, this video breaks my heart. We really need to educate people. We're the caretakers, we need to be responsible. A very moving and sad video. All shelter animals need a second chance. We just need to make people more aware of it.

great video but now shelters don't put animals done when they are abandoned, there is no limit on how long any animal is in a home for. i have adopted mainly all my dogs in my life from shelters.

if my job moved and i had to live in an no dog apartment building i would quit my job because i could never practically throw away a dog and never see it again. People who do this should pay back for what they have done
