  • Dear Dean, I like your style and cut-to-the-chase spiel - really! A request: when you do the full review of Xperia S, will you please do a thorough going-over of its video-recording capabilities??

It seems that most modern brands are still getting away with slightly disappointing video cameras and images - but I hear the S should be exceptional, and I'm banking on it. I'd like phones4u to really put it through the test.

Thank you Dean, Chris, et al

  • The worst part is the phone does not come with ICS!

  • See here is the problem Sony brings out Xperia S now and MWC is at the end of the month. Quad core handsets will be the end of this. This phone should have came out last year along side the Galaxy S 2 and Iphone 4s

  • HAHA notice how he constantly has too hold his finger over the top of the phone where it says "ericsson" :D

  • very sexy accent god I love the british.

  • its mr bean's little brother :P

  • Does anyone he is hoding the ericsson part on the top

  • I WANT :D

  • I'm hoping Dean is all geared up to go for a full, comprehensive review when the Xperia S hits the markets - make it thorough and snappy and no-nonsense Dean, I dig your style. This is the first time I've seen your reviews, now you're on the top of my list - keep him, phones4u

  • Thank you, I've a some more questions:

-DIsplay glas is hard (Galaxy S2) or soft (arc S)

    - What's battery duration with a daily use like wifi, gps, bluetooth on, some calls, internet surfing with GSM and some apps playing? My Galaxy S2 is about 6 hours

    - On lock screen there's a battery %?

    - How antennas located in the bottom, are connected to rest of the phone?

In the transparent line I cannot see wires.

    - When it'll come for customers out in Europe? will be with gingerberead 2.3.7 or 4.0?

  • @plata0190 stop asking ! buy it, and u will know the answers

  • I would to know if display cover is schrates proof and if is made in plastic or glass.

And if in any case, the glass is hard (like galaxy S2) or soft (like arc S)

The rear cover is made by a plastic or a rubber like or teflon like material?

    Is that like SE W960

  • @plata0190

Thanks for watching the video. In answer to your question, the screen is made from a scratch resistant mineral glass. The rear cover is not made from a rubber or teflon material, more along the lines of a plastic compound.

  • Poor Moris.

  • lol that thumb.... covered all the right places

  • May i request to know hw e phone cover opens n where e sim card slot is located? Removable batt?

  • @whitedevilkai the rear cover is removed from the back giving you access to the sim card, micro SD slot and battery. Hope that helps? If you want to find out more information then check out our website or find us on Facebook.

    Thanks.

    Chris @Phones4u

  • @phones4u There is a micro SD card slot? I thought it was limited to the internal memory of 32 GB

  • @phones4u so it does have a micro sd card slot then? i heard it didnt

  • @phones4u It has no micro sd card slot... But you can get the phone with 32gb which would be the same thing as having a 32gb sd card in the phone!

  • @phones4u

If I am not mistaken, I think Xperia S doesn't have amicro SD slot in it.

  • @KKCF26 They have the device so that they can tell you that it does have a micro SD slot

  • really funny ..ha ha haa

  • I already have a dual core smart phone, so I will be awaiting the arrival of the quad core phones.

  • will try to make it my next phone

  • I'll buy this phone!

  • this sounds very familiar, oh yeah sounds just like the dial a phone review

  • SHould I sell my 6 month old SE xperia arc for this super phone??

  • @poligomm nah

  • @ayomiposiigandan ok i think ill wait till the end of 2013

  • Great review

  • I want one

  • I always like he's reviews, he's hilarious! Beautiful phone!!!

  • I never really like Sony smartphones but I have to admit this one could be a hit it has got great features and great design.

At the moment I am using Nokia Lumia 800 it is a good smartphone but a lot of features are missing like HDMI like sd card reader like dual core processor overall it is ok but that new first Sony smartphone makes me fell about changing Nokia.

And last word never Apple Smartphones IPhones are the worst ones I am not saying about Mac IPod IPad I am just saying about IPhone 3

  • You were obviously covering "Ericsson" after Sony with your finger at 0:13... Thought it was Sony NOT Sony Ericsson :/

  • @XclusiveAaron Hey,

Good spot there, nothing gets past you! The version we had was a pre-release unit but we can assure you that the handset that will appear in the shops will indeed be branded as the Xperia S from Sony. When we get our hands on the final version we will be taking another look so be sure you to check back for the full review.

    Cheers,

    Phones 4u

  • @phones4u Ahh okay :P cheers!

  • @phones4u it looks nice but do you think this will be better then samsungs phones i doubt it....

  • @XclusiveAaron and 1:05 ..too!!!hehe

  • @XclusiveAaron The prototypes are branded sony ericsson because sony only properly bought the ericsson part last week! The actual sale model will be branded as Sony

  • Good job, both Phones 4u and Sony

  • Seems a nice looking, good phone

  • nice review :)
