  • Where the hell do the bodies come from...?

  • crazy!!!

  • Thats ok, i didnt want to sleep anyway

  • Thats my next campingplace!

  • They call it research... However, the fact that dead bodies have been around for a while leads me to believe that this is just another sadistic governmental hobby, along with foreign war and toddler mutilation

  • This is brutal.

  • This is so freaking disgusting but it's so interesting!

  • Very interesting...and music is really wonderful....I would like to lnow who is the composer....Thank you for uploading this video

  • I don't mean to sound morbib, but the degloving thing is amazing. There's actually a way of finger printing someone after their dead, and rotting!

  • @watchensee It's totally amazing. I can't say I'd want to wear that glove, though.

  • @obtueor I wouldn't want to wear it either, but there would be no progress if they didn't have this stuff. :)

  • theres more bodies on that farm than pixels in this video.

  • This stuff absolutely fascinates me, so interestin yet horrorfyin.......wow.

  • I'm learning new stuff and being completely disgusted at the same time.

  • @barbaro267 cool

  • this is disguisting and interesting at the same time

  • Is it just me, or is the camera a mailbox.

  • "And we have some *really* good pictures of animals eating on various parts of the body"

Is it just me, or does this guy love his job too much?

  • @shoplifting1is1fun I'm surptised too hear squirrels eat the dead flesh I thought they were herbavores!

  • Im going for Cremation I don't want to smell :P and it's quite disgusting knowing bugs are in my body. Or better yet Ill get plastination that way ill be plastic and I wont smell!

  • 2:24 now i want a dead body

  • This is pretty interesting.

  • Interesting how there are quotations around "New York Times Bestseller"....

  • I want to say that this is a really scientifically interesting and beneficial project, but in actuality, I'm just really fucking creeped out by it. The idea of watching animals eat a rotting a corpse, or making human skin gloves (for science!) just gives me the shivers.

  • Quite interesting.

  • Cracked.com anyone?

  • @Sardatheist i switched to here since my connection is too slow that i had to play it on 240p :P

  • @Sardatheist we make the best compost LOL xxx

  • Its just such a surreal thing to watch this for me. To think those people once had full lives, lived, loved, laughed, and now its all just a moment in time forever gone with them. They were no different than us, and here they are, going back into the Ether. It makes me wonder what happens after all. Each second is another closer to finding out I guess.

  • @kppdsuckakppd Dude thats pretty hardcore. But i really relate to what you're saying, can really mess you up if you think about stuff like that hard enough. Ive hadanxiety attacks just thinking about whats beyond space and other things of that nature.

  • 2:10 IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET

  • they do this to give closure to families to identify who they were how they passed and if they were murdered and possible find the murderer. I think it is a heroic job.

  • Comment removed

  • Wearing gloves made of human skin... I really can't even think of something to say that describes how horrific that sounds.

  • @Ry0wn they do it for the finger prints its a strategy used to identify who the person was think about it if someone u loved went missing and God forbid a body was found and they believe it is the person who you reported missing wouldn't you want to know so you they can find the monster who did and give your loved on a decent burial. It is a scary job but really it is worth it

  • Your body is government property leased to you. Upon your death, the government will repossess it.

  • Imagine jumping a fence and stumbling across this.

  • Wow. This is all pretty disgusting. Fascinating, but disgusting. And as disgusting as it may be, the man in this video makes it sound... really nice actually.

  • this is scary because I know my body gonna go through this when I'm dead

  • I'm sure it smells phenomenal.

  • Now this is some twisted science...its still science but with a twist! I wonder who even thought of this

  • This is awesome and nobody should be offended by it.....These people are fucking dead, thus they literally should have no problem with it.

  • "Facinating" as Dr. Brenon would say :3

  • This is batshit insanity

  • You know what scientist are just going to far now.

  • @Jacquelyn104

Yeah, how dare scientists use donated human bodies as a means to study how decomposition works so they can help solve crimes, and identify bodies with more accuracy.

Those scientists and their evil ways!

(by the way, if you couldn't tell, I'm being sarcastic) ;)

  • @TheNewDigital :D hahaha lol good point

  • @Jacquelyn104

Ah, good to know people can reconsider their perspectives. Sometimes I look back at stuff I say and realize I get way to worked up and come across as a total asshole. Sorry, I must have been cranky! Haha.

  • @peterlol21 You took that from another video. Stop trying to get thumbs up.

  • if i had a dollar for everyy pixel in this video i would have a dollar

  • I find this research very interesting but I'd rather see my organs go to someone in need of a transplant.

  • This may be sick shit but its also COOL shit!

  • Thumbs up if cracked lead you here

  • now comon, thats simply disgusting

  • Very gross but interesting...

  • LOLWUT

  • ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE FIRST VICTIM: Dr. Bill Bass.

  • I bet the soil is pretty fertile there lol.

  • I'd hate to be the people working there when a zombie apocalypse breaks out

  • "I hope ya'll have enjoyed your visit!" and then what? bring home some 'gloves' as souvenirs?!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

  • well. this is fucked up.

  • The book is actually rather intresting if anyone feels like reading it. There are some color photos in the middle that are... well you can skip those if you want. But seriously the book is a fasinating read.

  • YOU WILL SEE ME NEXT TIME ?!?!? :O :(

  • What song did they use at the beginning?

  • WHAT . THE . FUCK . IM . WATCHING

  • Is that camera disguised as a mailbox? Can you imagine stumbling upon a place like this in your younger exploring days? It really looks as if you would feel an air of somber but macabre ambiance as soon as you entered the gate. I seriously hope that no kids ever trespass here. Sorry for the disjointed, incoherent thought pattern, I still don't know what I want to say about this place. I just know I am drawn to it for some weird reason.

  • lol my girlfriend sent me this link, she is watching this in forensics class! How Fuckin Awesome is that shit.

  • too bad for those deaed bodied tht become thier experiments

  • @FRYMEIN

too bad for the dead bodies that never had a choice when they were thrown to the elements.

  • @FRYMEIN All of the bodies are donated by choice and kept there for 1 year. After, they can be returned to the family for proper burial or stored in the massive Anthropological bone collection at whichever body farm they were located at...it depends on the person's/family's wishes. The only bodies that did not choose to go there are crime victims (jane/john does) who's bodies were never claimed at the morgue.

  • It would be funny if I could play dead and all of a sudden jump up out of the leaves and scare the students haha

  • The camera is disguised as a mailbox. Or it at least appears that way... xD

  • Love bill bass

  • I watched this in class, and I came and found it,

cuz it's that awesome that I had to share it with my friends. :3

  • Degloving... :O learning something new every day.

  • I set up my donation a few years ago. When I die my body will go to the body farm.

  • @Lovesjc13 okay... wtf... so u wanna die and lie on the floor naked for the rest of your dead life...

  • @Lovesjc13 I will be laying next to you and ask:"Good day isn't it? :D"

  • Comment removed

  • @Lovesjc13 That's freaking awesome. Maybe I'll do that too. :) I like the idea of becoming freeze-dried fertilizer too though. Hmmm....

  • @Lovesjc13, fuckin a, I'd be down to do it, too bad there isn't a way to get a few thousand or even a few hundred bucks for it though.

  • @Lovesjc13 This is sick. How can anyone possibly feel comfortable knowing that their body will rot and be experimented on?

  • @Lovesjc13 really

  • @Lovesjc13 eeewwwwwwwwwwww ur a brave persone :')

  • @Lovesjc13 D:

  • @Lovesjc13 give it to me. i get lonely sometimes. =(

  • @Lovesjc13 Good luck rotting in a ditch.

  • @Lovesjc13 its a donation? they dont pay you

  • We have a local wellness and beauty resort that's also called Bodyfarm, lol.

  • remind me to never get bitten by a possum or raccoon or squirrel while i'm there XP

  • todays lesson watch a human decompose ................ THE HELL I AM

  • I wanted to click home but it's too cool.

  • yeah fuck that, i aian't putting nobody dead hand skin over my hand

  • Wonder if there is a danger that these animals can spread diseases?

  • @TrinaT68 All facilities don't accept bodies that have any diseases and the research faculty are kept up to date with any vaccinations. After 2 weeks, the bacteria that live in or on the decomposing bodies die off. That, on top of being extremely careful with safety issues, there's no threat of the public or the animals from becoming infected with anything.

  • @peaceoutchubbs Thanks for the info, totally funny because I just finished watching Bones and it was about a body farm, I check my email and seen your reply. I don't even remember what I wrote but thanks for sharing your knowledge. Have a lovely day.

  • where in the hell do they get the bodies from?

  • @coyotekiller81 People donate their bodies for science I read.

  • ...

  • i see a problem with the scientific data this might provide. Don't you think the LARGE number of dead bodies attracts LOTS of animals, like more than normal?

  • @serialkillingyou yes but it's more so they can collect data on the actual process of an animal's damage to a corpse. making it easier to determine the markings etc.

  • I just finished reading Beyond the Body Farm and I must say it was a very interesting book in the least. Very well written and informative, a must read for those of you that like that kind of stuff.

  • i loled at the camera cuz it looks like a mail box

  • Damn...UT is super hardcore!

  • 0_________________0 Why did I click on this??

  • 4:40 - "I hope that you've enjoyed your visit..." wtf?? how would someone enjoy going to a body-friggin-corpse-FARM?

  • @ralphM1114 ahahahaha

  • @ralphM1114 Think there's a gift shop? =P

  • why am I watching this?

  • The facial reconstruction was more eerie and disturbing than the human glove part.

  • It seems scary, but it's necessary

  • beautiful uuuh weird it is groovy they can identify and assist justice even after most physicians have given up. As humans our insides can tell the same stories our mouths can in regards to their tertiary lives. very distubring for kids (sorry i had to say that ...it might not be) but facinating to the biologically minded.

  • beautiful uuuuuuh weird i love creativity without money parasitism they are beautiful

  • How can i make it so when im gone i can use my body for science? Do i have to sign some special papers or will my License do?

  • i actually live not too far from the Body Farm and Dr. Bill Bass came to our school and taught us about the Body Farm it was very interesting !! He was sooo nice too !

  • I like how he treats the skin glove thing like it's a Martha Stewart project.

  • i bet it smells good over there.

  • step one: get job in morgue

step two: de-glove man with no arrest history

    step three: enjoy crime gloves

note: step one can be replaced with 'murder someone'

  • @tehsplunker i'd change step two: de-glove famous serial killer who's already dead

  • wow, for the cost of one measly murder I could have untraceable crime gloves!

  • hahaha, the camera is a mailbox thing

  • hannibal lecter with a day job

  • I will see you next time?.................

  • Fuken saved so I can watch it at home. With audio.

Not the most glorious of jobs, but it's pretty damn commendable.

  • my question is, where are they getting these dead bodies from? When people die their loved ones would normally bury them. Are these hobo's that have died and had no one to bury them, and instead of just cremating them at the morgue, they used them as test subjects?

  • @Artary

some people leave it in their will to donate their bodies to the bodyfarm

  • @Artary A bit late but folks simply volunteer or donate their body beforehand in a living will .

  • @Artary I plan on having my body donated to science, this might happen to it.

  • neat-o!

  • i would love to visit the body farm!!!! it would be so cool to see first hand how the human baody decomposes!!!!

  • WEAR SOMEONE ELSES HAND FLESH?

    That is some sick shit

  • @gday1111111 It would be a good way of using someone else finger prints if you should ever get into trouble!

  • @gday1111111 when they found your murderer, it is not a sick shit lol

  • I don't know how I'd feel about wearing human flesh as a glove.

  • Oh god @ wearing a dead person's skin as a glove.

That's both utterly horrifying and awesome as hell.

  • 1:16 o he amuse himself

    he is smiling :)

    verry peacefull

  • I've always wanted to go to one of these. It just interest me

  • @TarlaTorres6012

Wow, you're so cool and original; I bet you only listen to indie bands and only eat meat from animals that have died a natrual death!

  • @FuckingEnforcer Oh stfu

  • @TarlaTorres6012

Oh, wowzers! Look at the way you say "stfu" instead of "shut the fuck up" to convery your message of hatred against my comment, once again you have showed us all how cool and original you are!

  • @FuckingEnforcer o0o you're so deep Dr.Phil. Round of applause for you. Bye Hater

  • @TarlaTorres6012

Yes siree, you sure verbally owned me by comparing me to "Dr.Phil" then saying "Bye Hater" to not only imply you're not going to comment again but that my motive for this comment and the previous is hate. Wow lady, you sure are smart.

  • He is talking about human skin gloves.

    That is disturbing.

  • wow what a strange job

  • I want to go here! Study here! It's a dream for me!!! I've read two books, one by Bass and another by his student Emily! This is amazing work! And I'm 14!

  • @SirenNecko1 i know right it so interesting what happens to he body the stages of decompostions of the bady.. i think there is four! And I'm 11!

  • haha, thats the idea@marksiwel

  • You slip the glove of their hand over the rubber glove on your own hand. O.O That is disturbing even though it is in the name of science.

  • why upload this vidoe on beyonce's birthday?

  • @zoeyfaz yo, beyonce is all about CSI

  • How do these get the bodies to do this?

  • @Georgie2500 your so stupid

  • @CWSColeman FGuck your dads faggot

  • @Georgie2500 what ever wimp

  • @Georgie2500 Donated To Science ''shutters''

  • Rockin a pack of Dunhills in the breast pocket, what a badass.

  • He is a really good writer. I've read "Beyond the Body Farm", and I'm reading "Death's Acre". Incredible books. :)

  • it is gross but this guy also helps relatives identify their killed family member

  • will they not buerry them

  • @ irishstephik

No, they don't bury them. Their goal is to study how a body decomposes over a period of time while exposed to the elements.

  • I actually read the book carved in bone. It's a really good book, but it's not like a documentary. It's more suspense than anything! Great writer!!

  • this is neat.

  • 1:15

    :D

  • lol

  • "We have some really GOOD pictures of animals eating on various parts of the body". Sounds very scientific indeed.

  • what about the relitives n friends who know they are there.i think i would have to move away if i knew someone from my family was rotting away down the street!

  • Anyone check the maps on google?

    You can see the bodie's!

And its in between 2 giant car parks.

    WTF!

  • @AndyWarsaw81

I know your comment was a long time ago, but what is the address?

  • @CandyVolcano its at the university of tennessee in knoxville...between the 2 big car parks.

  • @AndyWarsaw81

    Wow, found it. Thanks.

  • his camera looks like a mailbox : )

  • I live near one.

  • wtf they made books out of this lol

  • Great place to take school children. "go on kids, go find the magical rabbits and unocorns" muhahahah

  • Definitely one of the places to avoid during a zombie apocalypse.
