I think that these videos are great. if you want professional video tutorials, go to school. tutvid is free and informative. the least these videos do is point you in the right direction.

You really need to have a plan before you start the "tutorial". A tutorial means you are actually teaching something. You go too fast and you change directions waaaaay too much for anyone to follow along and take notes. If you're wanting to show someone you know how to do the task quickly, then I suppose you've succeeded, but if you're trying to teach someone how to create this lettering, you have failed miserably. Slow down, stop jumping around, and explain the move ONCE and stick to it.

I'm sorry but this tutorial is ridiculous. I followed your every step and now I my settings are all screwed up. when I type something in Illustrator I can no longer see any text at all.

 You talk way to fast, and I constantly had to rewind the video. Do NOT watch this tutorial if you actually want to learn something. I really wish someone would make up some tutorials that are a little more user friendly.

dude, I could understand perfectly the tutorial, if you couldn't, you should start with some basic tutorials about illustrator, and if you have any experience with photoshop, flash, fireworks etc... your work should be much easier.

hey, I followed all the way up to the adding gradient color(red) to the gradient. when i clicked on the swatch, it just turned the whole text red. I have tried with my mouse instead of the tablet. I cannot get the gradient to take on color. am I not clicking something?

@royalconcrete1 I just figured it out! you clicked and DRAGGED the color to the gradient thingy. I super enlarged it and got super close to your mouse pointer and saw the square around the mouse pointer.
