If he played with D Wade who chucks up 30 shots a game ther's a possibilty that his scoring numbers would be down but his min. wouldn't and assists would improve. Not sure why Beaslys minutes are down but it seems like he's having difficulty adjusting to the size and speed of the competition (no double digit reb. games yet). It's too early to talk playoffs for MIA since Wade is the reason they're playing a few games above 500 to this pt. We all know he has injury issues so don't get too excited.

No, Beasley isn't having trouble with the size and speed. The only reason his isn't starting is because he is still learning the defense. He will be starting soon, as Spolstra has been talking about his leaps and bounds in the defensive knowledge. If he was playing almost 40 min a game, he'd look alot like Kevin Durant did last year, but probably better %'s. He's already the best offensive player in this draft, he scores 6-7 ppg less than the leader with 14-15 less minutes as a second option.

Beasley is the most NBA ready rookie offensivly. Unlike Rose and Mayo, he isn't on a horrible team. I still don't understand your logic. The Heat aren't horrible, but the Bulls and Grizz are. Unlilke your team, the Heat have a legitamate chance of making the playoffs. Right now we are the 6th seed, and the only teams that would really challenge us would be the Nets, and maybe Milwaukee and Charlotte if they keep playing that defense...but none of those teams has a player of D-Wades calibur.

Without Wade MIA would be worse than Chi so pray that he can carry them for 82 gms since they're nothing without him. Beazy will turn out to be the better scorer, not the better player. I would rather have a PG with D Rose current abilities/potential than a F who scores and doesn't play well enough to crack the starting lineup on a team that won 15 gms last yr. Riley and most Heat fans would agree. Soon Rose will be a tripple double threat waiting to happen every night he steps on the court.

Hey dude, don't get me wrong. I see alot of young D-Wade in Rose, and his rookie numbers are actually better so far, even though Wade was the second option his rookie year. I know Rose is just scratching his potential. He will turn out to be the better player, but he should be as he was drafted higher. I just hope your pitiful starting lineup doesn't trade him for some unproved garbage player, like your franchise is so keen to doing. Your team is so lucky in the lottery you should be a dynasty.

I mean you've had what 12 top 10 picks in the last 9-10 years, and a grand total of 3 are still with you, all of which have been in some sort of trade discussions. You've traded a franchise 20-10 guy in Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler, the best defensive player in the league in Ron Artest, you've traded a future allstar in Lamarcus Aldrige for a bust in Tyrus Thomas. Jamal Crawford too. Then you luck up and get the top pick over a team that won half your games, thank god you got the right guy.

But I mean this draft class was so good, it was near impossiable to screw up. I'm not gonna lie, I envy that you got D-Rose, I'd love to have him, but Beasley would have played for the 15-67 Heat, that was a team without Wade for 31 games, and when he was back he was a shell of his former self. We had Shaq the majority of the year, even though he missed about 30 of the 50 games he should have played for us. Ricky Davis was our best scorer. Beasley isnt starting for the 16-13 Heat it's 08-09 dude

The only reason Beasley isn't starting, is because he is still learning the defense. It isn't because the kid can't score. He's third in rookie scoring, scoring 3 less ppg than Rose in 13 less minutes. His defense is improving, and he should be starting by the allstar break. These are rookies, some take time to get prepared, like when Westbrook couldn't start for the 3-29 Thunder. The Heat are trying to rely defense, it isn't Beasley's strength, it is Marion and Haslems, it's an identity buddy.
