This stuff really brings back memories! They used to show Kenny on ABC TV in Australia each day at 6pm, but when I called the ABC to ask if they would show it in re-runs, they disavowed any knowledge of the show!

you need to understand the gravity of it... sure, it wasn't high brow, but then neither were people like harrold lloyd, or buster keaton.

try and make this show today and it'll never happen cos kenny has a vast carreer in radio before moving to tv.

no presenter today could pull in big names from music and tv to do what they did.

I'm not sure but I think Bowie's eye is permanently dilated because of a fight he had with a former band member years ago. Also, if you look carefully, it looks like he has a grey eye and a blue eye. As great as his music is, Bowie's appearance alone makes him stand out.

Actually it was when he was 15 - he had a fight with a friend of his over a girl. Doctors repaired the damage but his pupil was left permanently dilated. He has faulty depth perception because of it, and can't see color very well out of it. (Everything looks brownish.)

George Underwood is the kid who punched him. They stayed good friends though and Geroge even later did artwork for Bowie's earlier albums.
