I am non-muslim and my questions are related to mohammed at 54 marrying aeysha at age 7. why this accepted in islam? to me this cant be an action of gods messenger. also why do muslims not speak out against the problems they have internally? problems against treatment of women and treatment of non-muslims. it is not the media but stated in the quran these problems.

@SANATANDHARAM01 it 9 years old not 7 .according to islam woman can be married if she have her period and can get pregnant .so at that age of 9 aeysha already have her period.studies have shown that woman can have their period as early as 8-9 years old(not all women still if they have period they can be married according to islam).plus the woman must agree to be married ,if dont then it cant be happening.that is ISLAM..hope ull be happy with this anwer

@Supamillionair no i am not happy. it is sad that anyone even try to justify this. it doesnt matter if she had her period. the issue is how can a 54 year old man claiming to be gods messenger touch a child in sexual way. this i cannot ever accept about islam. i dont have a problem if she was arranged to be married to someone her own age. 54 year old is like a grandfather and thats how one should treat.

@SANATANDHARAM01 so its realy bothers u .u have to agree ,women muture a lot more than men .sometimes at the age of 9. when women reach their puberty they can reproduce their offspring.so in that sense they can be married. let me ask u a question what age women should be married according to u..

@Supamillionair no brother. no child at age 9 is mature enough for marriage. this is why there r laws today to stop this kind of thing from happening in many countries because its wrong. mohammed was mature at 54 to know this was wrong and being a gods messenger it is a bad example. he should know not to do this to a small child. just dont try to justify this. it looks really bad.
