  • math why cant you solve your own problems.... anyways thanks for the help....

  • Comment removed

  • omg i actually understand this :D look out quiz I'm acing you for the first time in my life

  • thank u soooo much!

  • what does cosine actually mean

  • Your an amazing teacher.

  • Thank you VERY much. My Honors math teacher is horrible, explaining things so vaguely, and when I ask him a question, he makes no sense at all. We have been doing trig for 1 month and I couldn't understand the cosine law. But your nine minutes just taught me more than a months teaching from my teacher. Much appreciated for all the help sir.

  • i have a very important question but i dont know what formula to use. If anyone wants to help me out its "Find the length of side "h" in the triangle, given that angle A measure 40 degrees and the distance from C to A is 25"

  • @Freshhotwater if it is a right triangle, use cos40=25/x

  • thanks for the help!

  • thank u i love u

  • Thank you so much for this, i really was not understandiung my homework until this video, nice explaining and going steo by step!

  • i have a question. i have a right triangle and i need to find x, which would be the HYP. i am given the angle 18 degree and also the OPP is given, which is 6 cm. and since COS is a/h, how would i find HYP. anything helps. Thanks! :)

  • Thanks, This really helped out.

I wish my actual math teacher was as thorough as you.

  • ahaha 420

  • how do you do it if two lengths and on angle. I have the lengths 10m and 9m but I don't have c.What do I do

  • Thanks alot, this helped me refresh my memory alot.

  • Thanks very much for making these videos my math teacher doesn't seem to know how to... explain things to me. I really appriciate this its helping me study for my final exam =D

  • Whys math such a bitch...

  • thank u sir

  • Thank you very much mr. Simmson. You've really helped me.

  • in example 2 u did it wrong istead of putting 3346 in calculator u put 3364 so it mest u the whole other part of the calculations

  • *My bad its cast*

  • I have some problems I need help with. Can anyone help me, my final exam is next thursday, thanks.

A tree cats 25m shadow when the elevation of the sun is 36 degrees. Find the height of the tree to the nearest tenth of a metre.

  • The TOA Formula will solve this:

    tan36=height/25

  • Thank You so Much

  • Thank you. You just made this sound alot easier than it actually is.

I had quite good knowledge about this already, but this video just made it easier for me, thank you once again.

  • I learned this last year but needed a refresher for something I need to do soon involving functions >_>

  • hahahah

  • now i can skip class with ease :)

  • Lmao, right on

  • 58^2 is not 3346!

    its 3364!

i got confused why my calc has a different answer!

    amf

  • Your calculator is right. He put the wrong answer.

  • I will make an annotation on the video to point out my mistake to future viewers. Thanks for showing it to me.

  • @access08 true i got a different answer on my cal! :P confused :S

  • ur an awesome teacher, i would have failed my exam if it were not for you

  • i got that asnwer wrong, instead of 420, i got 139.09

  • awesome

  • thank you soo much! it is soo easy to learn compared to in class less distraction and one on one instruction

  • hey thanks for the help... this was so much easier to understand than any other method

  • thanks alot, we are learning this tomorrow, it'll wow my teacher i already know it, haha.

  • THANK YOU i totally understand the way u teach i wish my teacher taught like that because of her teaching methods im failing

  • I found your examples very helpful in my math class. your methods always work better than most methods Ive seen. Thank you sir, god bless you

  • No answers to the Cosine Law Exercise's?

  • it touches me as a kid to have people that i dont know and would put there effort by making this video and taking time explaining this really helped me.

  • thanks alot!

  • thanks man this video helped me a lot before an exam. 5 stars.

  • Thank you, so much easier to learn one on one

  • 58 aquared is 3364, but the video shows me accidentally writing 3346 instead. While making the video, I still used the correct number 3364 while solving with the calculator, and arrived at the correct answer.

Thanks to Youtubers mhneub and joeltoth2 for helping me notice this mistake.

  • the reason u got 402 is because he put 58 squared was 3346 on the blackboard but later changed it back (not realizing what he had done) to 3364. Don, bud gotta watch yo shit. i did the same thing and got 402.

  • You are correct, joeltoth2. I apologise for my mistake.

  • thanks so much!

  • the last one was incorrect, instead of 420 it should be 402

  • Nope, it's 420. But as joeltoth2 pointed out, if you use 3346 by accident, you will get 402. This is my fault, because in the video I accidentally wrote 3346 on the blackboard. I apologise for my mistake.

  • hey, thanks fore these videos.

  • what about a rearanged cosine law?

    ie. cosA= b^+c^-a^/2bc

  • um isnt the biggest side always c? if you are using a,b,c

  • The biggest side can be always called c (or h) if it is a right triangle and it is set up for Pythagoras' Theorem. This Cosine Law formula is used for non-right triangles, and the labeling of sides is flexible.

  • Thank you very much, please continue to post videos of math, you are very helpful and very smart

  • you are my new best friend

  • Thank you so much i have a better understanding on sine and cosine laws because of you. NOW ITS TIME TO ACE THAT QUIZ I GOT TOM!!

  • You are the best. thanks!!!

  • Thank you kindly. Your presentation was flawless, and simple. Brilliant work, thanks again.

  • This is easy stuff. Just for your information, Law of Cosine = Kashi Law

  • i have a test on trig tomorrow..your a life saver!

  • amazing job mann. i wish this guy cud be my teacher makes things so much simpler and better

  • Soooo Cool! Thanks!

  • thanks alott

  • Well done sir.

  • i got an A on my trig test thanks to you,

    great job, keep posting vids!

  • In nine minutes this man taught me more than my teacher did in two weeks. I am forever in your debt, good sir.

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

  • thank u . you saved me from failing my test.thank you thank you thank you

  • Good job! i really need help. I got sick and missed the explanation on law of cosine and when ever i simplifyed i kept getting a negative. I don't know why though. i hope this helps. i will try a couple of exercises and see :)

  • great video , ur explination is very clear .I learnt from ur video
