This seems to be one of those songs no artist can destroy, no matter what beat or language! Jenny Lou Carson wrote a true diamond! I first heard it on an album I bought back in the early sixties - "I Love You Because" by all-but-forgotten Bob Luman, and it´s been ringing in my ears ever since. I´ve listened to dozens of recordings, in my book Jean Shepard´s is the all-time greatest.Thanks for posting it with Ray Price!
Until I listened moments ago, I`d thought of the different artists who did this tune that the best was Jack Owens in my opinion. Now I feel these two are equally the best( again, my opinion) & have enjoyed it & thank you for sharing!
Actually he is saying " IWhen I New The END Would cause me pain. And in the last line he is talking to his heart, which is why he says "Your Beating Jealousy Heart."
