I remember this from my childhood, unfortunately my wife wasn't born so she has no idea how good it was!! The chicken episode was one of my favourites also the episode in the trenches was so funny!! The Goons gave us so much in comedy!
As a kid, I remember this as one of my favourite programmes. It was usually more violent than this episode. It was also a kids' show which adults used to watch due to it's very Goonish humour.
Oh Dear Me....We're Supposed To Ignore Historical Events Just For The Sake Of Some Wanker Who Has Their Knickers In A Bunch Over This ! If Thats The Case Why Not Start Removing Scenes Of Evil Nazis Because It Might Offend A German Person Or Two....
@BritNostalgia Yeah, that's the 2nd episode i was referring to, The Trap it was called. Watched it on here about 6 months ago. In lots of bits though. Check it out, i think all 6 missions are on here somewhere!
@BritNostalgia Did somebody mention Danger Mouse? Woot! What about other stuff from our yoof? Ludvig? Ivor The Engine? Chornton and The Wheelies? The Flumps?
And, of course, the excllent Sapphire and Steel! Who among us doesn't remember the episode with the WW1 ghost on a train station, or the last episode where they got trapped by a box gadget?
@TwistedQuills Now you're talking! Stay tuned to this channel. I'm uploading that kind of stuff in full episodes. You've just given me a few ideas! Thanks! Yeah, that Sapphire & Steel was real creepy! Do you remember the one were they were at the motorway service station that was trapped in one second of time? Mind you, it was well trapped in time. If memory serves me right, the sign gives the price of petrol as being something like 77p a gallon!
@TwistedQuills All the stuff you've mentioned has brought back memories for me, nice one, thanks! By the way, It's CHORLTON and the wheelies - please forgive me for being a pedantic git!!!! I'd quite forgotten about saphirre and steel - thanks again for the memories!
@SALFORDSCUM Yeah the 'Political Correctness' crew have ruined kids telly - that plus ITV sinking more money into 'reality shows' and crap like that. I just found out a couple of days ago that Cosgrove Hall Productions (the makers of Danger Mouse, Duckula...etc..) ceased trading a couple of years ago. They went out without a whimper. No 'Tribute To Cosgrove Hall' or any kind of acknowledgement of their great work...nothing. Bloody disgraceful!
Good grief! Somebody else remembers this? Nobody i know of roughly my age ever remembers Potty Time! Memory is extremely vague, though i do remember the Invisible Flea Circus! Was it really as far back as '73? Eeek!
@BritNostalgia My oh my, and I used to love this as well. I spoke to Michael on the radio at that time as well, asked him how they made the programme lol
I remember loving it as a child, and I love it even more as an adult. He had a wonderful anarchic of sense of fun. Those elephant guns are just brilliant. Thanks for posting!:)
Michael's Bentine's Post-Colonial Theory Time. The absurdities of war explained for early 1970's children. "Well if we all stopped firing, we'd be out of a job"

Brit nostalgia thanks for uploading this it is great to see it again after so many years.
The whole thing is totally bonkers and great fun unfortunately it wouldn't even be shown on tv today due to the o called liberal thinkers.
