woah slow down, you didn't show us how to get the remote to work with the tv. I pressed ch up and down loads of times and it doesnt work. What did you actually do as this video doesn't even show that step.

Point the controller at the tv and press the volume button up every 2 seconds till the tv turns off this will take ages but you need to give it time to send the ir signal out ;)
