I'd say Grace Slick before Stevie Nicks. Nicks is a bit saccharine. Ann Wilson is a good one to include. Allison Goldfrapp is very clearly pop, and I think the poster wanted to avoid pop artists. I love Goldfrapp, but she's very clearly pop, especially in Europe. She's their best kept secret. If she caught on in the US, the record execs would water her down into tripe for the mindless masses. Best she stays out of the spotlight. ;)

I think Courtney Love did deserve to be on here and most of the women mentioned that weren't on here. On the contrary to what people say Courtney fucking rocks she didn't use her late husband to write her music. Pretty on the Inside is fucking raw and she was not with him at the time. I also think she had a few quite good songs and as an actress did alright in People vs. L Flynt, although mst people say how hard is it to play yourself. I can't recall,she may have had some other decent role but she is best remembered as a train wreck human being which continues I believe to this day who may have had some degee of talent but wasted it. So I doubt Kurt killed her career and I doubt she contributed to his much.
