  • Reminds me of Pizza And Pipes!

  • már vagy 200 szor megnéztem. Hihetetlen ez a faszi.

  • I hope you enjoyed worshiping with us at Smallville Presbyterian Church! xD

  • My hero is Jesus Christ!

  • I love it!!! We all need a hero! For me Christopher Reeve as Superman was it!!!!

  • nearly five years after first watching this video, still great to come back to it.

  • Awesome playing!

  • Absolutly Amazing The WIDE Varity Of Music One Can Play On The King Of Instruments. And To Think All from Simple Air blowing thru Pipes. Great Job On This Pieces.

  • Not bad. I thought more power and better phrasing would have made this a better rendition.

  • Even God bows down to this masterpiece.

  • Play this at Christopher Reeve's Memorial

  • Wonderful!

  • And then superman himself flew in after his video ended to high five this man

    >:D

  • Amazingly played, and good choice of music--heroic and uplifting. More people should aspire to live up to this type of music.

  • thats pretty good i know its a bit hard to play on certan organ pianos he did pretty good

  • Awesomeness!

  • quality!

  • It's abit rush though overall nice

  • This was played at my baptism when I was a baby. They also told me that I started to fly all over the church interior that day.

  • Barack Obama playing the Superman theme on a church organ. U! S! A!

  • @PlanetMan77 That's an insult to the organist Sean Jackson.

  • @PlanetMan77 LOL yes!

  • Philistines - it is music, played on a musical instrument - get your heads out of your asses your purist dickheads

  • @multimill Amen

  • such a waste of a beautiful instrument

  • @kosiarzpomyslow Not at all. I would assume the organ is played for all sorts of music and so it should be. If more popular music was played on the organ, it might help keep the organ tradition alive. Restricting what is played just drives people away.

  • It's a beautiful piece of music! Music is a gift! Tell me it does not lift your soul?!!!!

  • This is like shitting in gods face by playing this in church...but who cares

  • And on the eighth day, God said "let there be Superman." And it was so; He saw that it was good.

  • Church of Kal-el of Latter-Day Kryptonians?

  • That was amazing !!!!

  • SUPERMAN>JESUS!

  • So this is what I'm missing at church!!

  • Are they showing a Superman marathon in church ? :P haha

  • I can't keep my eyes off his hands! WOW!

  • LOL at all that people who went to church to hear about god and stuff and they find this guy playing superman theme on the organ lol

  • Wooow! That is so beautiful! This man nails all the John Williams chord voicings. And what a beautiful sounding organ it is. Judging by the light touch, thumb pistons and automatic registration (no assistand needed), this is an electro pneumatic organ combining baroque, romantic and theatre organs into one. Awesome!

  • @aihoschema It's a digital organ... it just sounds good cause you're not hearing it live...

  • Now that is what they call proficiency.

  • Big up Barbadian Sean Jackson - this was an AWESOME performance!!!!!

  • Superman and Jesus have lots in common. Both came to save earth, both were from other worlds, both communicated with their father, both died to save humanity, both came back from the dead, both had simple professions. The list goes on and on.

  • "Superman is God in a cape." - Ty Templeton

  • Awesome ! Also check out Ben Middeldorp from Holland playing "when johnny comes marching home again" and "L'amour toujour" from Gigi Dagostino.

  • i saw another clip where a guy tried this on the pipe organ and couldn't pull it off awesome playing.

  • AWESOME

  • I think Jesus was Kal-el, so this makes a lot of sense. superman is from DC comics and Jesus from the Bible comics

  • @MrJoeBusted lol superman is written as a christian in the comics though. i know that complicates a lot of things, but it is what it is. haha.

  • @philipcho1 The writers were Jewish, but they wrote Superman as a Methodist. It's a good place for an alien to hide. Nobody would suspect.

  • @Aishiya1

    LOL !!!!!!!

  • I like this better than the original version.

  • I still think the AEolian Skinner pipe organ that was there previously couldve been salvaged. I mean...look at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine...that organ was covered in soot and dust and smoke after the Cathedral's fire and it was fully restored and considered a gret success! Why couldn't or would Trinity not do the same?

  • @bombarde1701a

There is an organist at First United Methodist Church here in Lampasas, Texas who would agree with you. The pipe organ Don Peterson plays is a Moller Opus 7185 built in 1946. He thinks that Trinity's insurance should have paid for repairs. Raises an interesting question, was the Aeolian Skinner even insured. Or, did Trinity go with the M & O and pocket the difference. Only Trinity's vestry can answer this question.

  • @Jaxvirtualorgan The damage to the Aeolian-Skinner was exaggerated. The old music director profited somehow from the installation of this M&O, and the vestry decided to keep it because it was more cost-effective.

  • this organ is of course electronic & a bit of a toaster.... the original organ coughed its last when the towers came down & all the crap got sucked in through the blowers and finished the pipe organ off.

look forward to hearing a proper pipe organ here. I went on Sunday 16/1 when I was in NYC and the trumpets & reeds on this organ are just bear-arsed ear shattering and drown the choir completely.

  • @pretorium

Your comment on the reeds and trumpets makes me wonder, upon reflection, if the organ was properly voiced. The Hauptwerk based virtual organ I am building allows voicing in real time. Hopefully for what Trinity paid for the M &O it has that same feature as my organ since mine will run $25,000 when finished.

  • Great! It's music such as this that will inspire younger people to come to appreciate the "king instruments". Thanks!

  • I am left speechless..........

  • Genius!!!!

  • I want to learn

  • How do you play a pipe organ like this?

  • Those preset buttons sure are convenient.

  • The chords are not right at some places ...

  • Hmm, the chord's aren't right.

  • Yes! Love this! Trinity Church + Superman = what's not to love! xx

  • Class !!!

  • that was awesome!

  • nice way to end a a service! that song was made for a pipe organ!

  • @json8tr This was a recital, not a postlude lol

  • Could we get a good view of those Definitive Supercube Trinitys?

  • Comment removed

  • It makes me goosebumps *g*

  • Jesus was a super hero

  • Very good.

  • Superman in church...only in the USA

  • @Markpistache well not really, i heard from my mom that the organist in my church played it right after mass... in a church in Poland :D

  • @SouthernSympathiser Thanks for the anti-French comment, by the way! I figure most of the people who think French are all asses have only visited Paris; people I know who visit Europe say you must go outside the big cities and the tourist spots, where you then find the genuinely friendly people who don't get yelled at by tourists daily. Plenty of Americans still think that if you yell - slowly - foreigners will understand you. And for the record, I'm not French.

  • @JonasClark

Ok, as an Englishman I have natural, inbred aversion towards the French. But as a young lad I spent a few weeks in the countryside there staying with a French family on a twinning scheme, and I must say, it's not bad there.

  • @SouthernSympathiser saved our asses? We had done all the work, the americans came in last minute and think they won it!

  • @Markpistache

    Hahaha...

  • @Markpistache profano!

  • Not really the type of song to be played on the organ.

How about Star Trek? Now that would be great.

  • @MrJihadjared Gee, and I thought they were all creations of man.

  • @KNO3CS i am p sure man didnt invent rabbits and aliens. i could be wrong.

  • @MrJihadjared No, but the concept of a rabbit which brings baskets of candy and hides eggs or a visitor from another planet with super powers coming to rescue us or any of a dozen mythic creatures DO rate as man's creations. My point being that you find Superman in "Gods House" offensive, I think he is just as valid and hopefully, welcome, as Jesus or Allah.

  • @KNO3CS but i am superman. how i am a concept of mans creation.

  • @MrJihadjared You silly head! What is Jihad-Jared...If you are Superman shouldn't it be Jihad-Jar-El?

Or perhaps JihadJared is mounting a holy war on weight loss through submarine sandwiches?

  • @KNO3CS ok you like. to say. that aliens dont exist but they do they talk to me all the time i hate it. i hate aliens.

  • @MrJihadjared Justin Bieber and LeAnn Rimes are aliens. lol

  • who does the super man think he is in gods house.

  • @MrJihadjared Superman, Jesus, the Easter Bunny, Allah, Budah? Krishna, what's the diff?

  • @KNO3CS lol "An honest God is the noblest work of Man." Personally,

my vote's in for Shiva, Destroyer of Worlds. And Vlad the Impaler for President!

  • Woooowwww!!

  • OH LAWD SAPPAHMAN!"

  • Awesome!!!

  • well, if jesus would be superman, he would dance on this organ

  • AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!!!

  • EPIC^^

  • I wonder if god's listening to that and pretending to fly like Super Man, oh wait he could probably fly.. Nice Cover.

  • What an amazing electronic organ. And one of the best organ pieces

  • @goldsgym1244 :

Check your speakers, if necessary get rid of them and buy new ones, and/or take the cerumen out of your ears!

  • @goldsgym1244 no way to take it out on other people because most people listening disagree with you. Your obviously tone deaf.

  • Brilliant performance.

  • Superman funeral

  • BEST. DAMN. VIDEO. EVER.

    Great job!

  • is there any more of this or a dvd?

  • why rush this much?

  • good Sound

  • Beautifully amazing.

  • Great job!!! What was the total cost of this organ and who was the maker?

  • @djswitchmaster09 About 700 grand if I remember correctly, and it's a Marshall and Ogletree digital organ.

  • wow you are amazing....

  • An incredible sound, especially considering it's a bunch of computers, amplifiers, and loudspeakers reproducing some superb samples od pipe organs.

  • Really suits the instrument, big personallity for the piece

  • It looks like he is really enjoying playing it!!!

  • Dang!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice! Great sounding instrument..for a digital, huh? Anyone know what's going to become of the original organ there? Last I heard - and someone correct me if I'm wrong - it was last played on 9/11 and got filled with dust when the first building went down and nothing's been done with it since.

  • @flyurway . No, that was St. Paul's Chapel which was a block away from the twin towers. The church served as a staging area for the resuce and a resting area for workers until the debris was cleared away. The chapel has since been completely restored--including the organ--and has resumed normal ministry. Trinity has a very fine pipe organ, heard here.

  • Well, that makes my day. Nothing like hearing about a great, classic organ being brought back up to playing status. So you're saying this is not the digital instrument here?

  • This is the Marshall & Ogletree digital organ custom built for Trinity Church and inaugurated by Cameron Carpenter.

  • Thank you for the correction. Of course I was mistaken in my previous post. I am surprised Trinity would go the electronic route. Sounds like a good instrument.

  • @robert3302 It was originally intended to be temporary, since the old Aeolian Skinner suffered from some damage due to dust from 9/11.

  • @robert3302 This is not a pipe organ in this video. Trinity currently uses a digital organ. The old Aeolian Skinner was, in fact, damaged during 9/11 and has yet to be restored. But yes, you are right that St. Paul's Chapel also suffered some damage and has since been restored.

  • @menschmaschine5 Damn terrorists killed the organ too? Jeesh

  • @menschmaschine5 yeah. BUT DUDE, IT USES THE DEFENITIVE SUPERCUBE TRINITY'S! THEY ARE AWSOME SUBWOOFERS! (2000w 2 active 14" subwoofers, 4 14" radiating subwoofers per speaker, 1 speaker per pipe!

  • @flyurway It'll probably be restored sometime in the future.

  • wonderful ....

  • UP UP and AWAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY

i have tears sreaming down my face

    wonderful, just SUPER MAN!!!

  • LOL !!! GENIUS !!!

  • They should do one for transformers.

  • Yo creo que es perfecto, me encanta el órgano y las personas que realmente saben interpretar piezas fantásticas como ésta en este grandioso instrumento. Excelente! :)

  • That is simply brilliant!

  • Jesus Christ = Superman!

  • Indeed! When put into the context of the Passion and Suffering of Good Friday, this theme FITS!

  • Sean, that is so brilliantly entertaining! I sent it to Alice so she could enjoy it too. I always did love watching you play at Trinity! You're the best! Nice to see your smiling face too. --Rebecca

  • GOOSE BUMPS!! and i smiled , thank you

  • Long live superman!

  • Dr. Jackson is incredible. If you think this is great, then you should hear him play Bach!

  • That´s really cool...

  • This is great!

Thanks, Sean Jackson , for your interpretation. Have listened to it many, many times.

    Best Wishes from Scotland.

  • I cannot believe that the sound is coming from Definitive technology Speakers and not actual pipes. I would love to hear that in person.

  • It's amazing really, I own one pair of Def tech 7004s and they are THE speaker for any serious listening, even when I listen to oegan recordings they are perfect! And how low they will go too!

  • I may be wrong but isnt the pipes in the back of the church where the music is coming from and what the person before you was talking about is is the speakers they are listing to this from?

  • The pipes in the back or the church are the original facade pipes from the old organ. They are NOT functional. This is (IMHO) the finest digital organ made. The original sound you hear is coming from 80 channels of audio through various DefTech speaker systems. driven by about 15-18 thousand watts of amplification.

  • Dang!!!. No wonder.

  • That was great! I was inspired to create an arrangement for the electronic organ. Check mine out:

    /watch?v=qlLLFVqJXt0.

    Cheers!

  • Wow!..That guy killed me!..He's too GOOOOOD!...His sense of rythm and registration is a real tribute to the verve of John Williams...and not a note seems to be missed!..GREAT!..Thanks a lot!..

  • But can he play Metallica? I think "Maybe"

  • why cant they do this at my church?!

  • Great Barbadian Talent... Thanks for the sermon Shawn.

  • Even in God's house Superman's a hero

  • amen to that!

  • always was and will be. Can`t imagine a better hero

  • @eleeking

Go loook up where Kal-el really means...hint...its Jewish

  • @sololobo112

Yeah I know, it means "Voice of God" Makes you wonder doesn't it?

  • @eleeking

Even secular music can convey the tremendous emotional expectation in the human heart for the Messianic era, which we are almost upon.

  • Well, all organists are sexy (including me :P )....well some...but he has talent...extreme talent.

  • When a man is an organist.....wow,that's so sexy!!!!

  • Simply amazing:) love it..

  • That would keep me coming to church 7 days a week! AWESOME!!!

  • thats what I call a SERMON! lol

  • You' re definitely right,dude!!

  • It's great to see Barbadian talent continue to excel. Erdiston alumni ... Never Be Idle!

  • Fantastic, i tried working out a section of this, nothing harder in the world, fantastic job !

  • Does ne1 know where i could get an arrangment for this?

  • Amazing

  • exelent

  • Why can i play like that :( Oh well i will just have to keep trying in the hope that one day i will be able to give as good a performance as this talented musician has, Fantastic
