@AeroQC in real life you can power your LSD so that you are sending almost all of the power to the rear tires. In this video game? not so much. So irl? Of course There is drifting, power sliding (AWD/FWD) which also fall in to Scandinavian flicks for rally etc.

@WhoStoleMyHat The easiest way I learned was a very simple concept that a lot of people can relate to. Copying what your opponent does while understand what your up against. if you've got a car with a 4.5 P/W ratio against a guy whose running a 3.4, you're going to have to initiate later, And sacrifice angle for speed. if two cars are close in body type and Power to weight, its going to look better when in tandem. also, practice makes perfect.

The key to learning is to start with low HP. Pick any car you want it doesn't really matter.

@ninjaslave2 This ^ However, I would like to add that if you start with a higher horse power, you will learn throttle control faster than you will with lower powered cars. With them, you'll be on full throttle for most of your larger corners, but when you have more hp, you have to be more careful.

I would suggest a RWD vehicle to get starting. but regardless of what i may think you should get a car that you like looking at and enjoy the sound of because the more you practice with a car the better you'll be with it because you'll understand its physics.

AWD cars are bad for your health and usually cause problems when learning how to drift RWD. since they are so easy to handle, it will teach you how to be lazy and not want to learn the right way to actually 'drift' because you'll think that ONLY counter steer and throttle will help you through a corner.

@morganiothegamer The best car to start out with is the one that you like staring at the most. trust me, you're going to be staring at it for a loooong time if you want to get good with it. Every care handles differently based on body type, size of car, engine placement and weight. Pick something that you like the way it sounds and looks because that will help you stay motivated to keep practicing in some way. If you don't have credits, there is a career mode that you can play to get more.

Lexus IS-F (If requested, I will do a video)

Mazda MX5

Nissan S15 (The SIlvia Spec R 2002)

Toyota Supra (RZ is better than the 2.0 twin turbo)

Toyota Celica (drivetrain swap needed, but is a charm)

All these cars have to be set out to how you want them, all do work, and all are great fun to play with, but do require a large investment and good tuning.

Even with all Assists off, Forza 3 still has a Steer Assist you can't turn off.

If you ever want to properly drift in a game, look up GTR2, GTR Evolution, GTR Legends or rFactor.

It's an insult to drifting when you take an Arcade Simulator and start arguing about what's better for drifting, because none of this is realistic, unlike, say, rFactor.
