What a fab guy...my daughter and her friend both 15years have just won 2nd place in a competition singing this song...they are on youtube (Paige Seabridge & Jake mayhew) he plays guitar and she does vocals...it's a beautiful song and comes from the heart. As much as I love Newtons music it goes to show the commercialisation of this style of music hasn't led to an appreciation of other extraordinary guitarists (pioneers of the style even) such as Roche, Hedges, Ross, Mongrain, McKee etc etc the list goes on and those boys really can play (Roche even taught Faulkner and no-one seems to be listening to him).

Well... I believe it has alot to do with him singing. McKee and those guys only have guitar which makes a very small audience. I find them all very imprecive and awesome but in the long run I'd rather listen to a voice backed by a guitar than just a guitar.

@SmokinMesa Hi, in case you didn't know, Eric Roche died of throat cancer recently (not quite sure when). Newton Faulkner wrote a song about him which is featured on his new album (called "So Much"). You seem to be a fan of Eric Roche so i thought you should know, in case you were unaware (and Andy Mckee is a legend, i agree)

@spunjamin.. yeah, sadly Eric did pass away due to cancer, he was head of guitar at ACM (academy of contemperary music) and he taught Newton and as you can tell he had an amazing impact on his playing, and in many ways his general outlook on todays music itself, such as using the percussive ellements of the guitar to create the music what he does now. And might i add that the song ''So Much'' is probably my favorite on all of the album lol :)

The E string is in Drop D and the G string is in F#..... Dont believe me...try it out :) ..... You can play it with a Drop C...and have the G string to compliment it like F# but it seems to low to me personally.. I might be wrong..but you can play with that Drop D and F# on the G string tuning..and it sounds perfect to me :/
