yeah, im a student and i even agree with you. there are students that has an iphone, and other students that wears expensive clothing...and yet they are protesting how expensive shit is. doesn't make sense at all. And I thought hippies were extinct and died out, damn they still fucking exists...

The "REASON" they needed a 32% increase, since last year, is that 92% of the professors in the UC system will retire with $100K + full medical FOR LIFE!

I was there. I got drenched in mace and watched as everyone else did AND got beaten. This was NOT an aggressive protest UNTIL we started getting maced and beaten. We were beaten, maced and arrested without ANY warning WHATSOEVER. It should not be justified.
No way. The cops were the instigators. Their job is to establish a physical barrier between common people and the ruling class so that we can't directly demand our rights. The police chief lies when she says their duty is to keep peace. These were peaceful activists--they didn't need protection from themselves. The arrests, pepper spray and beatings were unprovoked and criminal but will be excused because it was done in the interest of the elite. This is a classic assault on working class people
Here's something to make you want to protest ...
Ask your professors, how much their pay & benefit packages cost (not you), but the tax payers of California?
