i dont find anything wrong with sampling. as long as you do a good job with it then its fine to me. if i was an artist, i would take it as a compliment that someone wants to sample my music, it shows that youre good at what you do. i never heard the original until i found out about this. they both have meaning so therefore i like both :)

I know there are people out there, who are whining, "Why did she ruin a song?". She didn't. Depending on who does what, I'm usually fine with samples within reason. It's fine, it had a real meaning and it is a good song that people like. You should save your complaints for a time when someone like Lady GaGa samples a good song like "Africa". Though it would take too much time to explain on Youtube, the real reason for the complaints is something psychological that goes on with everyone.

Well of course people like some of those songs and credit the musicians but the reason why the song is good is probably basicly the sampling part of the song. You are totally right. I can't tell you how many times I listened a song that I really liked and ended up a little disappointed when I found out it was sampled. I like my artists to do their own stuff, like write the songs, help produce the track, and playing an instrument really earns points with me. Out of love and respect for music and music artists(which I have a lot of) I just go with it no matter how retarded music may start to sound, though I agree with everything you have said.
