I have worked on, built and rebuilt everything from camaros to firebirds to mustangs to roadrunners to GTXs to GTOs and they all have their place in a true muscle car guy's heart. I have built 400s, 427s, 440s, 454s, 455s and 426/428s. Not to mention 396s, 327s, 350s and 283s and the relative stroker motors. They ALL have their weaknesses. When someone says "this motor will blow away that motor" or "this car will blow the doors off of that car" I just smile. They have a lot to learn. Appreciate!
I agree, with your statement and you are right, but hey, it's the Chevy vs. Mopar rivalry. I'ts in my blood, my parents both drove Plymouths once and I was brought home in one, again, it's in my blood, I can't help it.
Id take it, sell the rims, lower it an inch in the front for an agressive stance and give it 17" (front) and 18" (rear) torque thrust 2 rims, gun metal grey.
@moparnutjim i know the original rims make it worth more but its not my style. If i had enough money id probably keep the stock rims and buy the torque thrusts as well.
I have 68 set up JUST LIKE this! except mine has gas saving 273 eng with 2 barrel carb for even MORE gas savings, oh yea and a fancy-shmancy automatic transmission, thus no need for all that manual shifting stuff and extra foot pedal, and it's called a Satellite, not a Road Runner.... :(
@HongKongFooy1 gas saving ?? what the fuck it the matter with you ?? wanna go fast and save gas ? get a sport- bike. These cars are SUPPOSED to suck gas !!!
@F6HemiCharger lol, no!camaro is much lighter and with 454 attached to it or with the 327 race engine it would make the roadrunner look slow.but i like mopars very much.i like all muscle cars!
@GIwillo Go on... and this is comming from the make that stayed out of NASCAR for the most part in the "glory days", uhuh, Chevy you know, had an engine like "The Cammer" and the "DOHC Hemi" too, please (sarcastic). Mopar or Nocar baby!!!
@F6HemiCharger the car is awesome no doubt.but why are people always judging and critizising other brands?!do you need the affirmation of your cmments and your opinion so much that you write it down on youtube?if you do i feel very sorry for you and your self confidence.evrybody should drive what he wants and not getting pissed off by a keyboardhero.period!
sorry that i critisize your comment that much, but there are many narrow minded people that annoy and ain't even got a car like this. greets
@GIwillo I understand, I'm not getting pissed at the keyboard, I'm just making a comment. BTW Who said I had a self-confidence problem, cause I sure didn't.
@GIwillo once upon a time, american made meant, american made. not assembled in america from a box of parts shipped from china and mexico. people took pride in superior american designs and the rivalry was on. my gramps built liquor cars and he was a ford man. he shit when dad brought home a dodge. after gramps got a ride in that early hemi car his future liquor car builds all got hemis. theres a big difference between prize money and prison...
One of the best I've seen, if not the best. This RR is even better than mine. I have an original '69 hemi 4 speed super track pack in the same color, but with bucket seat interior. It's very rare to even see a picture of a car like this.
Hemis in cars like this roadrunner had just over 500hp, the superstock hemi's were near enough 700hp! The reason the factorys rated the hemi's at 425 was for insurance reasons...
Isn't this one a coupe? That's a skinny looking B pillar.

It's hard to understand how you can have a car like that and not drive it. I mean, only 14K miles? Someone has a lot more discipline than me!
