Consciousness is controlled wholly by the brain, survival of our being and psyche after physical death is utterly impossible. Near Death Experiences are hallucinations caused by chemical reactions and dying brain cells. There is NO such utopian metaphysical world waiting for us after we die. About DMT. It seems entirely plausable to me that DMT is involved in the death experience, although there is such a variety amongst DMT "trips" versus the NDEs, which are far more consistent, lucid and loving. I have done a lot of drugs in my time and also had an NDE-type experience as well. I can tell you that the NDE experience was far more "real" than anything I have ever experienced while under the influence of any drug. For the materialists - I know its not easy to conceptualize though.
I can close my eyes, sleep and dream but that doesn't mean those dreams are reality.
How is a dream different to a near-death experience?
Everyone has common dreams because we receive the same stimuli during waking hours and all have similar emotional things to process. Near death experiences are just a type of dreams under intense emotional duress, it doesn't make them a reality.

@djalexmac The difference between an NDE and a DMT trip is the people who go through an NDE have a dramatic life change. Check out Pim Van Lommel's book on The Science of The Near Death experience. DMT does not produce life changing results.

It also cannot explain how a blind person can see in an NDE, or how people having an NDE can see what is going on in other places. It cannot explain how people with no brain activity after 5 monutes can have lucid visions. Are NDE's proof positive of an afterlife? I dont think so. However they cannot be simply explained away. And they just might be proof that life does continue.

Other religious scriptures have many mistakes, those scriptures were corrupted.

About DMT. It seems entirely plausable to me that DMT is involved in the death experience, although there is such a variety amongst DMT "trips" versus the NDEs, which are far more consistent, lucid and loving. I have done a lot of drugs in my time and also had an NDE-type experience as well. I can tell you that the NDE experience was far more "real" than anything I have ever experienced while under the influence of any drug. For the materialists - I know its not easy to conceptualize though.

Everyone has common dreams because we receive the same stimuli during waking hours and all have similar emotional things to process. Near death experiences are just a type of dreams under intense emotional duress, it doesn't make them a reality.

It also cannot explain how a blind person can see in an NDE, or how people having an NDE can see what is going on in other places. And they just might be proof that life does continue.

@AProudMuslim786 The problem with using a holy book to prove your religion is that anyone can do that. Don't believe in Jesus? Read the bible. Don't believe in Vishnu? Read the Vedas. Don't believe in Odin? Read the Eddas.
What needs to be demonstrated is why the scripture should be taken seriously. I can't tell you how many Christians I've seen giving John 3:16 as proof of the Bible's veracity.

@JustinHampel Ok, I understand you're a bit too lazy to read the Quran, so I will give you just one little verse from the Quran out of the other MANY MIRACLES in the Quran. “And the heaven We created with might, and indeed We are (its) expander.” (Quran 51:47) Quran talked about expanding of the universe 1400 years ago, when this was only found out and proved in the 19th century. Other religious scriptures have many mistakes, those scriptures were corrupted.

@AProudMuslim786 That translation is mistaken or forced at best. The second clause actually says something like "We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof)." Besides, the very next verse talks about spreading out the earth, implying that the earth is flat.
And besides, if it really talks about the universe expanding, how come Muslims didn't interpret it this way until the scientists discovered the universe was expanding? Not a very well-written book, is it?

The human body is composed of oxygen and the rest elements you would find on the ground(carbon,potassium,magnesium,sulfur) And in the bible it is mentioned that God created us "from the ground". Gravity is also in the bible, in the book of Job, it is mentioned that God suspends the earth with "nothing". I can guarantee you that gravity cannot be seen.LET ME FINISH

And actually people knew that Jesus was gonna come before he even existed, they just didnt know his name, but Isaiah the prophet said his name will be God within and thats exactly what Jesus means. This happened 700 yrs before Jesus was born, so the story is 2700 yrs or so old, while islam started 600 years after Christianity...
