All I know is Richard Clarke worked for Reagan,Bush 1,CLinton and dubyah. He knew how to spell bin-laden,but was ignored for his association w/previous admin. Fired for saying,"invading Iraq over Al-qaida would be like getting attacked by germany and invading Mexico.
Ah, posts and posts of the age old cry of ignorance - "We do it because we're real men/patriots/heteros/dems/reps/labour/tory/black/white..."
Look at Iraq - was there a terrorist base there? Wasn't Saddam running a secular society - the complete opposite of the radical Islam that extremists endorse? Iraq was a mistake that made Afghanistan more difficult to win, and limited the range of military options of the US and UK in other theatres.
Id bet you non-war supporters would also agree that they should have left hitler and mussolini in power and then we could focus on our health care and education and leagalizing pot because that was in your best interests at the time. Us real Americans stand up for our country, our world and our freedom and thats how its going to stay. Civilized, free and a good place to live.
. The people who appear on this video are doing nothing but trying to convince themselves that they're sons, relatives, you name it, didnt die in vain. Well, they did. Just like those 58.000 in Viet-Nam. What were they fighting for? For their country. BOLLOCKS!!! They fought and died for those in power and for the greed and interest.
That's a shame that all the families of the troops in this video are unintelligent. Joani Kelly, we haven't made progress, unless you count 30K+ Iraqi civilian deaths as progress, then yes, we have done well. Sorry, Joani, but Brian didn't make a difference and died as a pawn of the administration. Mj Keterson, we don't have to finish this job. We can go home with what soldiers are still alive and pump those billions of dollars into health care or education.
yeah alot of you ARE CONVINCED that "AlQuaeda" would fight here in the US. The only reason that we're not fighting them here is that you fools don't realize that AlQueda IS the Bush Administration!
Like I've said already...research all of this information yourself. Ask yourself why the media wants to wipe this information from our collective memory. Ask yourself why Bush haters put their hatred for Bush above the security of this country. There is more here than meets the eye and Bush haters count on you to swallow their bullshit. I'm not a firm Bush supporter but I do know now that he was not lying to the public.
What evidence have you seen that links Iraq to 9/11? Saddam and Osama were ENEMIES. Bin Laden wanted to destroy what he called "secular evil" in Iraq. The aministraation even came out and said that Iraq had no involvement in the attacks.
Intelligence documents have been discovered in Baghdad that reveal an Al Quaeda envoy was INVITED to Baghdad in March of 1998. The documents show that the purpose of the meeting was to establish a relationship between Iraq and Al Quaeda based on their mutual hatred for the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Osama and Saddam had an operational relationship that involved training in explosives, weapons of mass destruction, logistical support for terrorist attacks, Al Quaeda training camps, safe haven in Iraq for terrorists, and Iraqi financial support for Al Quaeda.
The original indictment of bin laden by the US Justice Department in the Spring of 1998 stated: "Al Quaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that Al Quaeda would not work against the government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, Al quaeda would work co-operatively with the government of Iraq."

No, that's what you've been told to believe. Research it yourself and stop putting your faith into our biased media.

Saddam allowed Al Quaeda to train inside of Iraq.
Arpege92 5 years ago
No he didn't. What do you even base that on?

Some of this information was obtained in custodial interviews with high level Al Quaeda terrorists and Iraqi officials.

Clinton's administration was absolutely certain that Saddam was in cahoots with Al Quaeda. It was a given.
