Nice setup. Have you ever used Foobar2000? I only ask because I also used Winamp in classic mode for the longest time. Seriously like since 1998 up until just recently. But now I like Foobar's simple 1 window playlist interface with just a little row for the play, track, vol etc controls up top.
I swore by Winamp and defended it over the years but when my buddy showed me Foobar on his PC it used less CPU resources (his one PC was an old Athlon XP and sure even on it the difference from like %3 to %2 isn't going to be something you notice but it was less!) with a high end M-Audio 24-bit 192khz sound card playing on both powered M-Audio AV40's, Creative T40s and an Onkio receiver and Polk towers we both agreed it sounded better in Foobar! Both stock, no eq's or anything.
@MN12BIRD Thanks ! Well, I tested it, but I still use WinAMP 2.95 which is very simple yet powerful. Plus my most favourite plugins only are available for WinAMP.
@Oerg866 Okay at least you tried it I was just wondering because I never heard of it until my buddy showed it to me and made me try it. How many watts RMS per ch is that Pioneer? I have a Yamaha Natural Sound receiver from that time period it has a built in digital (electronic) tuner with red LED screen. I use that one at work it's hooked up to 4 speakers in the middle of the large shop. As you may know I have a few older ones I use at home. I love old Stereo receivers.
