  • I still watch my lion king vhs. The two boys going to disney was always my favorite thing.

  • I watched my Lion King VHS so much that it squeaked.

  • 1:14 has always scared me and still kind of does

  • Great times.... I miss the 90s

  • Oh my god, I remember these previews. Man do I miss my childhood in the 90's.

  • why in the scene when they are asking: (why you go first? because i am a lady) it starts the soundtrack of "the adventures of the great mouse detective" xD

  • Favorite VHS intro.

  • I still have my VCR and I also this movie on VHS

  • @poohbear2013ari Me too. I watch it ever now and then just to remember who awesome it is.

  • I have that tape

  • OMG!!!!!! i remember those two little boys in the beginning<3 i grew up to that (:

  • I have all these previews memorized! lol i watched The Lion King ALOT!! xDDD

  • OMG I was searching for the Disney World commercial and then it just appeared on my feed! =D It always made me gigglesnort.

  • I always wondered growing up if people really do sing before introducing themselves ala Pocahontas

  • I still have this vhs,

  • "In real life, Goofy could beat up dad!" I love that line. For some reason I always had a hard time understand what he said as a kid.

  • @NamelessAidan Me too! :)

  • @NamelessAidan Haha, me too! I always thought he was saying "Goofy could be the dad!" and I was like, "The dad of what?!"

  • I played this preview of Pocahontas and sang with it over and over and over that it's literally snow when you try to watch it. LOL!!

  • O how I wish I was as old as the kids at the beginning. Those were THE most innocent years of my life. & I took'em 4 granted like something at a dollar store. :'(

  • Aww, that first commercial was always my favorite.

  • fuck my teen years i want my childhood back =(

  • 8:54 - MY CHILDHOOD!!!!

  • Why can't Disney make movies that are 2D? Leave the 3D stuff to Pixar.

  • @Actors317 DIsney can keep on doing 3d for all I care (since their 3D movies are getting better and better, all thanks to Pixar's influence) as long as they never stop doing 2D animation. BTW, did you know Mickey Mouse could be getting his own 2D animated movie soon?

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I still may have this very VHS. Ah, simpler times in my life I miss. Heck, I like how teens this year asked me if I was going to see Lion King in theaters (they meant in 3D). Being a wisemouth, I said I already had and smirked.

  • im crying

  • I used to have the lion king vhs. I remember going over the pocahontas song a few times. Thanks!!

  • so much nostalgia 0_0

  • What's the trailer music playing for the Angels in the Outfield?

  • Omg I'm kinda a bit upset watching that here I am sitting in my dorm a Senior in College WHERE DID THE TIME GO #iwannabeakidagain

  • @EdwardandBella1718 Yeah, when you're a kid you wanna be an adult, when you're an adult you wanna be a kid.

Well, 'cept me. I'll happily take the money, free choice over what to eat, sex and large video game collection over having to do unpaid work hours every weekday (school), getting told off and not being able to do what I want.

  • Lol, I used to fast forward through all of these.

  • i knew all these previews word for word back then

and i still know them word for word today

Disney was a huge part of my childhood : )

  • I still remember a small part of Colors of the Wind being in the preview for the VHS release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

  • @iheartryanstyles Oh yeah I remember that too. Roy Disney introduced that movie, and considering this was going to be Disney's biggest hit, they wanted to promote the movie constantly back then. But Lion King ended up being the "biggest hit" and Pocahontas is generally considered as one of Disney's underrated classics

  • Pocahontas had the best Teaser Trailer EVER!

A WHOLE SONG (the best song) FROM THE MOVIE!

  • ok, sorry for all the comments but the nostalgia is killing me! as cliched and formulaic angels in the outfield is, the "i got nothing left" "you've got an angel with you right now" always gave me chills and still does.

  • also, holy crap, the reference to mr. toad's wild ride dates this more than the vhs thing.

  • i always hated those kids in the disney world commercial. ah, nostalgia.

  • i love the movie previews, but i always hated the "feature presentation" thing. it always scared me!

  • @ElenaTheMonster It recently has started scaring me after I saw it on the 101 Dalmations live action tape

  • Colors of the Wind? That's the most epic perfect trailer ever. :D

  • I still own this VHS. I remember all of these previews

  • "And now, Coming Soon to Videocassette."

  • OH NO Nostalgic Attack thanks haaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • hey the kid from angels in outfeild is Jospheh Gordan levight

  • Wow, I can't believe I remember these little commercials at the beginning.

  • i missed these previews i remember rewinding it over and over again :)

  • TEN FUCKING MINUTES of previews?!!!

  • I remember the first time this tape ws brought for me, and i still have it after all these years. I didnt even know who frank wells was until years later when i started learning the disney studios history and waking sleeping beauty, i wish he didnt die, the studio wasnt right since, jeffrey left, roy resign then died. They should do previews like this now, its better.

  • i would flip tits when the Pocahontas one came on.(;

  • I still have this fucking tape, along with Lion King 2 and many others.

  • Did the film, when it originally came out in 94', really have the Frank Wells rememberance? Had no idea!

  • OMG THIS TAKES ME WWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY BACK TO 3 YRS OLD

  • i love this but i miss the old disney animation the ones they have today just isn't the same

  • i miss the good old animation the disney movies these days just arn't the same:,(

  • Omg...This is my childhood! I miss the 90s so much.

  • love the kids

  • This was my first Disney movie!

That Disney World preview remind me of me talking to my little bro about Disney World (though he actually hates Disney)

  • This Made Me Tear Up! I Feel SUPER Old!!!

  • Comment removed

  • What a VHS!

  • @KodyBoy555

    DITTO!

  • HAHA YES THOSE DAMN KIDS I FOUND THEM I HAVE BEEN TELLING MY FRIENDS ABOUT THOSE 2 FOREVER AND NO ONE REMEMBERS BUT I FOUND THEM THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR WHOEVER PUT THIS UP HERE A PIECE OF MY CHILDHOOD IS BACK WHERE IT BELONGS :)

  • If Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is only going to use brand new Disney worlds, then it's definitely Pocahontas's turn to appear.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is appearing, after all.

  • I miss the 90's so bad.

  • I started crying once the Pocahontas preview came on. Nostalgia just hit me like a brick to the face.

  • superfunforeveryone, What's the print date on The Lion King 1995 VHS?

  • When I was little I was sooooooooooooo scared from Scar. And every time when I was watching this parts, I was already scared. My family was asking me to see Scar parts over and over again. They wanted to show me that there is nothing to be afraid of(it did't work).Sorry if I made any mestakes, and thank you for posting this.

  • Disney needs to get Cinderella released on a Blu-ray & DVD combo pack this holiday season so that they can make my latest dream come true! :)

  • Uploader. Thank you very much for sharing this video. Brings back so many great memories. I didn't even know that there were people on youtube with these classic vhs vids. Now i know :)

  • pure nostalgia!!!!!

  • Wish you didn't cut out the beeps in the beginning!

  • @iHaveAnger I didn't see the point in it.

  • @superfunforeveryone It adds to the nostalgia, in my opinion. Great upload anyway, not everyone is so lucky as to have have original prints or to even have VCRs, with this the memories are preserved.

  • @superfunforeveryone pure nostaliga is all it is seem pointless but its awesome

  • @superfunforeveryone Well you're a douche then...

  • @iHaveAnger What those telephone-type beeps?

  • @avickers1992 Precisely those. Those are a large part of my memories of these tapes!

  • i got that version of the the lion king vhs.

  • on my lion king vhs it has a scene at the begining where there like three kids the little girl is cooking and the older boy is putting something in the bathroom then the middle child asks to watch a movie then he picks up lion king and says this is my favourite then puts it on then all the kids sit on the lounge and watch it... cant find it anywhere does anyone remember this!!!??

  • I remember memorizing the trailer to Angles in the Outfield and never even seeing it and always really wanting to see it and getting excited when it came on when i watched the Lion King

  • I was born in '91 and THIS is the only version I've seen.

  • i think im gonna cry from watching this

  • someone hates vhs openings

  • 7:18 doc!

  • Watching this makes me go back to when i was a little kid, man time flies :O

  • Can You Tell Me What Song Is Playing In The Background Of The Walt Disney World Commercial In The VHS Version Of The Lion King?

  • I would give my Ipod, my PS3, my HD tv and driver's license to be a kid in the 90's again.

  • @mosleyfin32 I agree. Amazing times! So much magic and fun back then. Today everything's on the internet and ppl are revealing the most personal things all the time. Reality shows suck, no creativity. Movies are all remakes too. ARGH.

    Well said ;)

  • Anyone else notice the sound mistake at 9:02?

  • @wileyk209zback explain

  • @GORSKIED You see, that is a trailer for "The Aristocats." Yet, at 9:02, you can hear the theme to "The Great Mouse Detective" playing in the background!

  • @wileyk209zback Yes I see, I recongnize the theme from the 1991 preview from the closing for 101 Dalmatians

  • @GORSKIED Actually, the version of the theme heard on that preview from early 1992 is a portion of the "Big Ben Chase" score from the movie; the version heard in this preview is from the first half of the film's closing credits. Same type of theme nonetheless

  • AWWWWW! Look at little JGL!!!

  • There once was time when I loved to watch the previews. Sadly, those days are over. Whoever made the previews for Disney VHS tapes was a marketing genius. I even loved some of the previews more than the respective movies themselves! So many beautiful memories. Kids today don't know what they missed out on. :( The 90s was the time to live!

  • @VagueSimplicity I'm not sure if I got to see like a whole horde of this stuff, but I think I saw quite a lot, I mean I was born in 1994, so I have seen quite a lot of stuff

  • I said this on your other channel, but I'm gonna say it here too:

I have these previews on my VHS. Gotta love Angels in the Outfield. :D

  • Keep pressing 1.

  • "I am John Smith...and whats your name?" "....POCAHONTAS."

  • @XDVDX41 That quote was probably from an earlier script.

    The final script is:

    "Who are you?"

    "Pocahontas."

    "What? What do you say?"

    "My name is Pocahontas."

    "I'm John Smith."

  • @hornean oh yeah...they probably just shortened it for the trailer

  • this like is my childhood

  • Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection Has Never Been Logo

  • This Tape got Released March 3, 1995.

  • @videolover1999isback Exactly.

  • "In real life... Goofy could beat up dad!"

    LMFAO

  • This whole sequence just makes me want to curl up in a ball of nostalgia. LOVE!

  • "your no lady your just a sister" xD

  • Wow, I didn't remember any of these commercials until today. It's amazing how hard something can hit you when you've forgotten it so long and then have it all come back to you. Thanks for posting.

  • @MaskedBlazer7

    great nostalgia ain't it? ;)

  • lol those kids are like 30 now

  • the pocahontas preveiw was the most powerful if u actually watched it and listened to the lyrics

  • goofy could beat up dad lol

  • that first commercial is a classic!!!

  • omg I miss this

  • @KATROSE92

I am 19, and I remember watching this before I was even in school. Bless you who uploaded this! God Bless The 90s

  • Because On The 1st Version It Does Not Have Previews For Cinderella & The Aristocats, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Versions Have The 2 Previews, The First Version On The Preview For Angels In The Outfield It Is Shown On The 1st & 2nd Version Of The VHS The Second Version It Is The Same Thing As The First But They Announce The Names And The Clouds Are Moving As Well And On The Third Version Is It Completely Different, The Version You Have So It Has A Lot Of Detail.

  • They Made 4 Versions Of This Tape, And They Made 3 Versions On The Preview For Angels In The Outfield.

  • @BrendanMan22695 How do you know?

  • They're five versions actually.

  • @superfunforeveryone There are three versions of the Angels in the Outfield promo.

The first one is the version seen here.

The second one is mostly like the first version, but the names toward the end are read out loud and the final screen has moving clouds instead of a still shot.

The third one (the one you posted seperately) has some different scenes playing and some special effects are added to symbolize the likeless of the angels. Also, the title card at the end has "Disney's" on it.

  • wow, this brings me back, i can't count how many times i sat through all those trailers so i could watch the lion king again and was too lazy to fast forward

  • You're gonna love this place Larry

  • wow i've seen this about 100 times lol

  • Does anyone remember the big tree preview? It is the one where it starts off in a room with a little tree sitting on a table and it gets bigger and bigger and all these animals start coming to life and there is a Dinosaur chasing a Jeep (like from Jurasic Park)? I doubt this makes sense. I just remembered that preview while I was watching this.

  • @annieangel1094 That would be from the VHS of "The Lion KIng II: Simba's Pride." I happen to have the opening from that tape on here, with the preview you're talking about.

  • @superfunforeveryone Thank you for telling me! I am really glad you uploaded these.

  • Just the opening part brings back memories

  • Its about freaking time youtube changed their limit to 15 minutes

  • I've still got my Lion King on VHS, and always have fond memories of watching these Coming-Soon trailers as a kid before the movie. ^_^

  • @Strabius Man, I remember that one with the kids lugging the suitcase upstairs like it was yesterday. I hate it, I feel so old at 20. But I used to wear that lion king VHS out. Should have broken from all the times I would rewind it.

  • @zzzohmy omg i use to watch it so many times the vcr ate the tape lol

  • Wow look at Joseph Levitt

  • They need to add these to special dvds

  • Yep. I remember this opening. I haven't seen this opening since I had the videocassette.

  • I still have the Lion King VHS with Danish dub.

  • The AITO preview is different

  • that last part of the angels in the outfield always gives me the shivers

  • @SuperGraphicMan The Pocahontas part and the Remembrance part gave me shivers.

  • i cannot believe i actually found this on youtube, my Lion King Vhs is broken and i thought i wouldnt be able to watch these previews ever again LOOOL

  • the voice of experience always somehow puts a smile on my face :) it's my favorite preview.

  • The Memories! I was 5 years old!

  • I aheve a question. This VHS is apart of the masterpiece collection, right? So why didn't it have the 1994 WDMC logo?

  • @moviencartoons2 What do you mean? The only part of the 2nd opening is the different "Angels in the Outfield" trailer.

  • I've always liked this opening. Thank you for uploading it.

  • @moviencartoons2 Yes, but due to the limit being 11 minutes, not 10, I was able to upload this as one whole clip.

  • @superfunforeveryone: You DO know that videos can be 15 minutes long now, right?!

  • @WiiMaster91 Yes, I have heard about it recently.

  • Um, it doesn't look like you split the previews into 2 parts, although your description claimed it did.

  • @jonghyunchung Oops. I didn't see that. Let me fix that.

  • Opening to The Lion King 1995 VHS 1. FBI Warnings (Green) 2. Walt Disney World Ad 3. Pocahontas Teaser Trailer 4. "Coming Soon to Videocassette" 5. Cinderella Preview 6.
