  • Why can't airline commercials nowadays be more like this?

  • with classical music from Adiemus, this spot's spectacular!! Fabulous!

  • Dolphins at 00:23

  • I saw this as a 5 year old kid and I always remembered it as a Lufthansa ad. Did they just rip it off?

  • i saw the spirit of delta in atlanta not to long ago, reminded me of this :)

  • Where is the english version?

  • So thats why they lost my bags....

  • Adiemus was actually composed for this commercial. And turned out to be a tremendous hit after that.

  • AMERICA!

  • Didn't they run exactly the same commercial (except for the language of course) in Germany at that time? If I remember correctly....

  • OHH ... I remember those days ... aviation used to be better ( its still very good but not so good for jet liners and airliners ...) miss that 1980 - 2000 flights

    9/11 got everithing worse

F*ck u Bin laden I dont even know how to wright your name ! SO f*ck u and alkaeda for ruin the best part of aviation FREEDOM !

  • that must have cost SO much money to make :)

  • uhh...fly air france to france...they are better

  • FAKE... LoL

  • @alexmaccoll No it is called Adiemus and it is by a group called Adiemus

  • @whitedesertheart yawn. read through comments - this was rectified over 3 years ago.

  • Comment removed

  • I guess back then the CGI was still a new thing. You can woo customer just by patching a few planes on the same shot.

  • That is so epic i have to puke

  • Fly Delta....where we French can surrender to the Germans faster!

  • @gopconservative78, the windows of Berlin rattled from the marching of the high boots of Napoleon's legions in 1806, and occupied that country till 1813. WW I, France repulsed every German offensive, at the Marne twice in a row, and Verdun. Reply to me like a man, you worthless coward.

  • @expertstrategy You are forgetting the rules of French warfare:

    1) Can't be led by a Frenchman

    2) Americans do all the fighting!

    3) If 1 and 2 can't be met surrender to the nearest Mcdonalds

  • @gopconservative78, Napoleon was a French citizen when he was born. Americans were destitute for allies and supplies in the Revolution, France provided the materials we needed and guaranteed our independence from Britain at Yorktown with their fleet and army. In WW I, France did most of the fighting since 1914 and did a very good job in repelling the Germans. In WW II, again, France had fought longer than America did when they arrived in 44, the French fought since 39. Anymore lame excuses?

  • @gopconservative78, throughout history France has had many glorious monents when they were lead by Frenchmen/Frenchwomen, like Joan of arc, Louis XIV, admiral Tourville, marshal Davout, marshal Lannes, Marshal Ney, Joseph Montcalm, Marshal Villars, Phillip II, De Gualle. etc.

To say that the Americans did all the fighting in the American Revolution, WW I and WW II, is both wrong and full of arrogance. It also completely undermines the French role in these conflicts. At least read a book.

  • @gopconservative78, You are forgetting Allied rules of warfare.

    1) When all else fails, do not hesitate to use 3000 Frenchmen against 45000 Germans, they succeed where everyone else failed.

    2) If you want an opinion about the French army from someone, just ask Adolf HItler, he will tell you how well the French have performed after Bir Hakeim. "that French are still, after us, the best the best soldiers in Europe."

  • The tagline is: "You'll love traveling "

  • @alexmaccoll I don't think this song is by Enya... It's just sung by a choir. Karl Jenkins composed it. I sang it in a summer choir last year.

  • 0:46 "let's see....NO WAY! We were only 3 hours late!"

and imagine yourself being in the airplane while they roll like that, how many passengers do you think will reach for the bag?

  • awesome

  • i think i heard that song on avatar

  • Nice

  • Thanks for uploading. Just awesome commercial. It brings up feelings about when everthing was fine.

  • I thought Delta was American? why is this in French?.

  • that spot was in germany too - i loved it...

  • yes and afterwards everxtings changed

  • they showed a pretty hard landing

  • estos son los comerciales q valen la pena

  • lol

    great commercial

this song suits Concorde more than them planes and airline

  • The end is like the Titanic film...lol

  • what song is this?

  • Song: "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins

  • "Vous allez adoreR voyager" is what he says!

  • Everything was synchronized, from the introduction to the pilots walking down the stairs, to the jumping of the dolphins. hahaha

  • Dear all,

I just have some questions on basic psychology:

Why do we love flying??? Why do we like aeroplanes???

    Please provide your creative ideas.

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

  • i love the thing that it's big and it flies

  • As Homer put it, flying allows us to "break the surly bonds of gravity and punch the face of God!"

  • wow i havent seen this commercial for ages

  • this commercial makes me want to take a first class flight to France for holiday.

  • now we know what Busby Berkeley would have done if he were asked to direct an Airlines Commercial

  • i love this song

  • Dumb question, but were the flight sequences in this commercial computer generated or actual?

  • I was about to post that exact same question!! I wish I knew the answer myself.

  • french is a beautiful language!

  • no español

  • @bigcarguy69 i thought that till i learned it i cant stand it

  • @bigcarguy69 I agree!

  • Did he say psychokinesis? lol at :29

  • No, he said:

Each week, 201 Delta Airlines aircraft fly from Europe to the United States.

    That requires a little... SYNCHRONIZATION.

    Synchronization, not psychokinesis, lol!

  • Full translation:

Each week, 201 Delta Airlines aircraft fly from Europe to the United States.

And that requires a little synchronization.

Delta Airlines... You are going to love traveling.

  • Not that any one cares ... but he said 220, not 201, lol :) Sorry!

  • deux cent vingt!!!

  • oui, j'ai bien remarqué qu'il a dit 220 et non pas 201. Tu n'as pas vu la correction que j'avais postée il y a 3 semaines? :)

  • Just wanted to say that this is a nice commercial, and that Enya is not the singer of this song. It's a common misconception.

  • whats the song name?

  • "Adiemus" off the album Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins

  • Adiemus by Adiemus

  • wow~~ this beautiful song was used in CM, cool~~

  • What does it mean in english?

  • In my rough french: "Every week, over 200 flights are flown with delta and by delta pilots, you will love to fly with delta"

  • @alexmaccoll to add to that: 100 flights between the us and europe. And that requires a bit of synchronization....delta airlines..you are going to love to travel.

  • @alexmaccoll

Each week, 220 planes of Delta Airlines take off from Europe to US. And this asks a little synchronization. Delta Airlines, you'll love travelling.

  • Same here..Stand behind legacy carriers and also low cost like Spiritair

  • Thanks for posting this, even though I work for United Airlines, I do stand behind all of our legacy carriers. Great commercial and superb music!!

  • vous allez adoreR voyager.

  • Great commercial, shame about the airline

  • The song is called Adiemus..its by Karl..it is made up words..

  • Adiemus is a song by a group of African singers called Adiemus...

  • Since when has Finland been in Africa?? Miriam Stockley is the lead singer - nice African name that - and the backing singers are from Finland. The language used is a phonetic one invented for the group and MS. Karl Jenkins used to be in the 60's group "Soft Machine" also mentioned in David Bowies "John, I'm only dancing" Not that a Gallagher lover would understand real music ;)

  • Finland, Africa... who gives a fuck.. the group's name is Adiemus go find it out yourself and u will see I'm right! And by the way shut your mouth about my music taste... Oasis simply rules! PEACE...

  • For the rest of your life when you screw up you WILL BE CORRECTED by others. Get humble and accept the correction and be a winner OR be a loser - it's your choice. The good news is you NEVER have to give a loser response again. Good luck with you life choice and it's consequences. I hope you go for winner.

  • Now that everybody is on the same page about the artist and singer, this was one of the best ads for any airline. Gave me goosebumps. If only Delta could resurrect this commercial again.

  • Yes, the song is called Adiemus but it's sung by Miriam Stockely...NOT Enya

  • This song is NOT by Enya. It's by Adiemus and the woman singing is Miriam Stockely

  • adiemus is not by enya....adiemus is the title song of the group "adiemus"

  • no it is called adiemus and is by Karl Jenkins

  • actually it's a song by adiemus, and the singer is Miriam Stockley

  • Very great video, merci beaucoup a vous, merci

  • okay.. what ever :)
