I've heard this band play the purest rockabilly you can imagine. I don't have a problem with them stepping out of that genre for a change of pace. Rock on!
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS -if Iron maiden ever wearing cowboy hats are they an hillbilly band.-- my god theire just copy an style but are close to rockabilly sound like george Bush beeing a moslem .
@Wulfmenhoff I agree that this song is pretty out there. I see it more as an experiment; like Stray Cats' Elvis on Velvet - rockabilly theme with a modern beat. Djordje has tons of real rockabilly credentials. He played with everyone from Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana, Joe Clay to Deke Dickerson, Slim Jim Phantom etc. Drazen also has a side project with Lucky Marcell that is 100% 1950's rockabilly. I have this Atomic Sunset album. It's mostly neo rockabilly stuff and I LOVE it!
i dig all the genres and styles that this tune/video embraces. not only can djordje play rockabilly from A to Z but he plays jazz, blues, classical, country, too many ethnic styles to mention and a lot else.
I find most comments are once again trying to force the artist's music into a genre'. The music is the movement and reflection of modern culture. Get this, it is the extension of the Artist as that artist encounters enamouring of society and culture to their sense's. To present a music that is new and innovative requires understanding genesis of the form from the begining. Djordje can play Rockabilly from A to Z any form anytime, anywhere.
it took me two sittings of this vid but i gotta say, very clever idea combining the visual aesthetics and lyrical content of the classic typical rockabilly band and just blowing it all wide open with something so out of the ordinary as that wild metal sound. at first it left my jaw agape. kudos guys
Musically, this in not rockabilly. However, the crossover in the bass slappin and visuals should be a cool influence on modern punk idioms who have lacked creativity for years and why "purist" neo-Rockabilly thrives in the first place :-)
The best slap bassist on the planet with AMAZING band!!!
Finally something fresh and unique!
This is a pretty brave thing to do musically, and I'm sure it's not gonna be easy listening material for purists. Let's not forget that all great artists have to deal with narrow minded folks. Keep playing guys and please don't ever give up!!!

This would be my band if we were to play at one of my father's "Rod Runs" in the future.
I've done the Stray Cat thing for years and wore it out.
I like this.
The Street Rod scene needs a kick in the Wranglers.

I'm not knocking it or anything. But in my opinion, it's not fresh and unique. It sounds like Limp Bizkit to me. But he is an amazing bass player.
