  • A little child can figure out what show dogs &pedigrees can lead to..

But the Money hungry, more simple human being (they call themselves breeders!) cant!

    & just wont!

    Pedigree dogs destroyed, why?

    Money is 1

    Stupid individuals.

And more stupid individuals who buy a family pet from those dicks!

  • This is epic!

Very sad!I dont care that nobody is responding to my post, and i know they are waiting for it to just disapear..lolit's logical that nobody is responding!

Most people who dont react to this, know why..they dont have a clue when it comes to breeding!Watch "pedigree dogs exposed"again and again..its not o thing of understanding the docu, its a matter of wanting to understand.optical things should matter as much as most breeders do, creating a bullshit standard! Destroying the breed

  • We should have a Tim Tebow party where we clone Tim Tebow into twenty different men and grow penises on their backs for man heaven

  • Great video; so real. Our Ridgeback could run all day.

  • @G0ldva He is wrong. The hair is a cowlick, hair growing in the opposite direction. It was found in the native dog of the Hotten tot . The natives did not breed it into the dog and it is believed to be from the Thai ridgebacked dog which is also found naturally. Spina bifida is a serious congenital disorder that natural selection would not choose. Dogs without ridges here in the USA are not killed but the are neutered/spayed and sold or given away as pets (modern culling).

  • Be careful if you go camping with these dogs. If the prey is not easily dispatched they will move it to you. Found out the hard way when they moved a 250lb feral pig through our camp.

  • Lewis, you are an idiot.

  • RHodesian ridgebacks are bred on a diformaty called spina bifida,!

It serves no usefull purpose at all!

It can cause all kinds of diseases, and the ones born without a ridge are put to death!

The Rhodesian ridgeback should be renamed to Rhodesian's and a make a law against that simple minded non sense, of building a breed on a diformaty what can cause all kinds of diseases!

See this link on you tube : Rhodesian Ridgeback or just dogs bred with spinabifida?

  • @LewisTheDogue No one is replying to you and that shows they DON'T CARE, they want to ignore your comment and watch it disapear into another page. To all responsible breeders... If the ridge is just a cosmetic thing and it wouldn't effect the RR's awesomeness, would IMPROVE health, and prevent many MANY dogs/puppies from being culled if the RR's with Ridges stopped breeding then why would it be a BAD thing? All I am going to get is a bunch of crap about standards. Such a shame

  • That black dog was so cute hiding behind it's owner lol. Such a lovely video.

  • my rhoddie is 15. never had any trouble. a dog is as good as the owner

  • @flyingp68 - Owners must know their breed. Fighting dogs will tend to fight and should not be put in an environment that will let them damage another persons dog. Chase dogs should not be loose to chase things if cars can hit them. Rotties should not be left in hotel rooms alone where a maid could enter and be attacked as the dog was bred to guard. Don't spend all of your time trying to train a dog to do what he was bred to do.

  • hi, so its not just mine that are completely nuts. music sooooo right for rr they are ladies.lol.

  • music makes me laugh

  • Sigh.. I wish ridgebacks were popular in Louisiana. ;/ I have a male, got from my grandpa when it was around a month old.. He breeds and raises 'em on his farm. 3 years old now.. Still very playful.

  • wow that is beautiful

  • 1:00 haha, rasism :O

love RR. i was so sad when our died :( best dogs ever!

  • lol good one

  • they are beautiful! i love there behavior they always seem to have fun and a little bit of mischief too 8D if you have done your reserch and a ridge back suites your life style i cant recomend them enough!! lovly breed

  • haha I love how all the RR's are like "hey! that one dont look like us...get him!"

  • I wish I could get an RR party started here. Just not that many people around with em, except of course those that have them related to me lol. I have single handedly populated my family with rescued ridgies. lol. So good dogs *hugs my Ruex*

  • You can easily see how these dogs have an inate pack mentality. The will always opt to be with others of their kind, but are very enlightened when around other breeds. Especially ones they are raised with. My Ridgie has a favorite dog, she's a small Rat Terrier. They play just like a brother and sister. The Ridgeback is very tolerant of my other older dogs a Cocker and a Chow-Huskie mix. She has only been around 1 other Ridgeback and that was very interesting while deciding who was the Alpha.

  • Letting Ridgebacks play with collars on is very dangerous. They can very quickly get caught in a friends' collar and strangle the friend. Never let your Ridgeback play with a collar on -- you may not be able to separate them. I know of several dead Ridgebacks from playing with collars!!!

  • wat are some good rhodesian ridgeback names? for a boy

  • So funny how they automatically are drawn to other RRs. Had to smile when they started ganging up on the poor poodle- you can just imagine them doing that with a lion. Amazing breed.

  • cool party a pity I wasn't there with cindy

    Really nicely dogs

    for good and forever Ridgeback

dear one greets from cindy & shaila

  • What a team work surrounding the other dog while playing!

    Shows well their instinct

  • Why have you Germans hung up on a white spot on the chest? White spots on chest and paws are just fine according to the breed standard.

  • Grrreat video !! Here in Germany they say that a Ridgeback with a white spot on the breast is not worth a penny... Glad to see all this white spots like my one has it too. Being a Ridgeback depends more on the character than on a white spot !!

Please take a look on my "Snoopy" and tell me if you think it`s a real Ridgeback.

At least I do beleave so... :-))

  • lmao at Tom Jones. I have a Ridgeback named Mamba. 130lb. Huge Rigeback.

When he runs you can feel vibrations. When he gets serious and hunts...really chasing game, silent flight. His feet barely touch the ground. Amazing animals.

  • 130lb thats 58 kilo. That's *way* too large for a RR.

  • My RR is not even 6 months old and already weighs 40kg. He is pure too. He might be close to 58 when fully grown.

  • So you have an out of breed standard RR too.

  • lol.. I think the breeding standard for fully grown males is like 35-40 kilos. He weighs that now ;-) But I don't care about all that breeding standard stuff.. he is just our Mack and not some "Simba Hizulu III King of the desert" Show Dog.

  • Whats the point of having a pure bred dog if you don't care about standards? 35-40 kilos is for grown up males, not less than 6 months old ones.

  • We choose a RR for his character. We looked at several breeds and a RR seemed the most fitting breed for our lifestyle and well suited to be a mate for our lab. And besides somebody has gotta take home all those pure breeds that don't fit the breeding standard. Ours is too big, others have no ridge.. hopefully they all get a loving home.

  • Its a big one... The father of mine was 120 lbs, the mother was 100lbs.

  • It'd be interesting to know if they knew they were related.

  • We have a Ridgeback : Gino <3

  • haha chasin the poodle. Good dog!!

  • I have a ridgeback and i love her sooooo much!

  • I notice that there is one male who is considerably bigger than the others with a large black snout. I can't tell whether the others are male or female but from what I could tell I think they're females.

With this in mind is there such a distinct difference appearence-wise in the RR between the male and female? I mean is it a general thing that the female has more a build of a grey hound and he male more a build of a hound?

  • Aw they are so cute! We do not know anymore RRs, so when mine plays with other dogs, they are all to slow for him and can't keep up with him.

  • A litter reunion party - great idea!

    :)

  • where was the RR video taken? What country? It is great.

  • Thankyou :) it was taken in sydney, australia.

  • @ellafreejc I live in Australia too! I own a Liver nose ridgeback! When was this?

  • I love dogs

  • salut tu peu alle voir mes vidéos tape famille rhodesian ridgeback et regarde mes autre vidéo et dit moi se que tu pense de mon rhodesian merci

  • pure beauty

  • Also..people say that pitbulls are tuff n all that..yeah thats true. but i tell u what..not that i like dog fights cause hate the bastards who do these things..but I reckon a good strong ridgey could go pretty close with a pitbull in a fight. when ridgebacks get angry they are very ferocious n have so much courage!

  • .......peddaled mi little arse off. by the time I was about 80 odd meters away the ridgey was that cranky that he smashed through the fence n chased me..he was catching up fast so I jumped off my bike & climbed up this big tree. I was stuck in the tree 4 nearly 2hours until the owner of the dog came home after work & took the dog. Ridgebacks r 1 dog u dont wanna mess with..trust me. never been so scared in all my life till this day!

  • When I was a kid..I was playing footy kicks with a mate of mine after school..anyway my mate kicked the ball over somebodys fence..so I jumped the fence 2get the ball not realising their was a ridgeback in the yard..I couldnt move i was frozen..otherwise he would have eaten me. I managed 2 eventualy jump back over..the dog charged at me but i just made it..I thought i was safe until his nose was poking out of a largre gap in the fence..the fence started 2give way..I got on my bike &.............

  • I have a ridgeback mix. Not sure what she is mixed with, but her ears stick straight up. She is so cute! She is our first dog and she is very intelliegnt and lives in an apartment with my husband & I.

  • i saw one real fat ridgeback here, must be some dumb ass brits dog

  • well its not inconceivable that it could be an American's now, could it? Given that American people are the ones who have the hardest time taking care of their obesity.

  • prove it kid. everyone i know is fit, wheres your proof otherwise brits are fat fuckin slobs no doubt about it

  • Approximately 127 million adults in the U.S. are overweight, 60 million obese, and 9 million severely obese.

This is from American Obesity Association. Google for their site as youtube wont allow linking .

Oh and stop being so condescending and patronizing . You haven't proved yourself enough in this conversation to pull of that attitude. Who you calling kid, fatboy?

  • im calling you and your worthless family fat, kid who, ill bet serous cash your fatter than i am, pure muscle here, ever see an NFL fullback? dont test me punk

  • well you sure have the vocabulary of an NFL fullback. I wouldn't have expected a pea brain like you to take the news well. It's not too late to turn to education.

  • HAHA NICE ONE BIOSKOPE

  • HAHAHA

  • haha..Yes many Americans are fat, but just because you are a skinny white British funker means nothing. Maybe u shouldnt be so stuck up.. I saw a documentary on this topic and it showed that many obese people were able to out-perform skinny funkers in fitness competitions. Being a skinny anorexic puke means nothing dude.

  • I wasn't being stuck up. I was just responding in kind to the OPs stupid allegations. If you take a look at the comments above you ill see who resorted to insulting and abusing a country before the other. Personally I have nothing against overweight people. I just cant stand inconsiderate fucks like 'soccernotfutbol' . I apologize if my comments sounded like I was discriminating against all Americans.

  • Here we go again. One study that shows .00003 percent of fat people out perform one or two healthy, people of proper body type and we have a religious zealot.

FAT is BAD. Get over it.

  • There are two types of Ridgeback , one has the build of a Greyhound type, the other is more bulky and thicker set like mastif type, it doesnt mean there fat, just well built. You give the American people a bad name with your rude attitude.

  • Wrong, Wrong Wrong. A RR with proper type should NOT have a "Mastiff" look. Read the Standard dude. Too many people breeding improper type is what causes this. Often such people are called puppy millers, or back yard breeders.

Its amazing that people get reprimanded for telling the facts the way they are.

  • Some pretty respected breeders from the last several decades are finding some Americans putting REAL greyhound in recently. Others finding some UK folks sneaking Great Dane in. And they are not all known to be backyard breeders.

    You just never know.

  • @Janeway1269 - Great Dane would put the offspring well out of the breed standard. Almost every RR dog I've seen here in the USA is out of standard by a minimum of 20lbs. The mentality is if they are a lion dog then they must be larger. Idiots should go to the zoo, dogs that attack, close in on a lion don't come home to breed.

  • @Janeway1269 If those respected breeders were just trying to make their own breed and still tested the dogs for health problems and worked them, then I wouldn't care. But if they sold the puppies as a purebred RR then that is horrible. People need to name some people/kennels now so we can stop buying from those "responsible breeders"!

  • @OutdoorGirl95 Well, if it were a real first gen RR cross w/Dane or Greyhound for example, it would be hard to miss unless a family was seriously new to this breed and had not looked around. But there are times some may outcross and then cross back to RRs for a few gen, to bring some genetic diversity.

To be honest, that was the old way of breeding before shows. RRs are only 100 yrs old or so, and resulted from a mix of many breeds anyway.

  • great video!

  • that was beautiful how they all started chasing that big puddle thing

  • beautiful dogs, we are on our third, will only have rhodesians and pits, 2 of the best dogs ever.

  • Wow, three RRs? Me too! :-D

  • They definatly are little destroyers. I wouldn't advise one to someone who is really into gardening. They like to chew. Mine has eaten whole trees.

Really great ridgeback video, perfect soundtrack.

  • i would love one but there not the best first dog to get

  • haha our ridgeback was actually our first dog! we also heard that they were not the best first dog to get but we got lucky i guess...she was fantastic :)

  • Please do not worry. The Ridgeback was not my first but my first big dog. Love at first sight, and two black eyes and a broken front tooth later, I was even more in love and had got used to hard doggie heads that want to be close to you.

Now I have my second Ridgeback, but I can just recommend to go to good and caring dog training. Amazing how much modern stuff we humans can learn to make life easy with our dog.

  • Do yours sound like Chubakka when they play?? We get a few together at the local dog park and everyone just laughs when they get going. Most beautiful sight is seeing them really run full out. Ours is a "slickback" (ridgeless) but the best dog I've ever had. And he is great with my son's Jack Russell pup: 80 pounds heavier and plays gentle as could be.

  • To: sabraschwartz

Mine does! I have a ridgeback mix and she makes the weirdest noises/growls when she plays. It's like she's trying to talk or something.

  • we have one that is called "Amir" hes 12cm taller then they should be

  • I love these dogs!We had one called remy,he had to be put to sleep last june.We miss him so much, they are such loving dogs.

  • they are such amazing and loving dogs..i am addicted to mine..pure love

  • Wonderful video! Best playmate for a ridgeback is another ridgeback! Really cool to see the pack hunting technique with the poodle - don't get to see that very often!

  • Any breed of similar size would be!! ;)

  • I love Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I have a sixteen month old, and he is a trip. These guys look like they are having such a great time!!!

  • wait till he grows up just make sure never to leave him alone for to long mines destroyed my house

  • best dogs in the world :)
