I've been in local bands for almost 15 years and I have to say almost all the better recordings ive heard had sampled drums. At least to double if its not used as the primary sound. Id rather hear fake drums that sound good than real drums that sound bad.
@LandOfMutants Such as; Andy only samples the kick and blends the snare. He occasionally samples toms, but not very often. The rest is completely real.
@saberbazer LOL ok there crazy dude. Maybe not everybody has the money to go into the studio and make drums sound like Superior Drummer makes them sound. Ever fucking thought about that? Also, from your first comment "this is just a cheap way to create boring music" - boring to YOU. These are real drum sounds dick, do your fucking research AGAIN. Times are changing man, a LOT of bands these days just use this shit instead. Get a life you fuckin troll. Beat it old school!!!
have all the people lost their taste in music??? how software programs can be sound better than real drums??? this is just a cheap way to create boring music...
@TheKAM1976 dude, do your research before making a comment like that. These are real drum sounds. When you go into a studio and mic a kick drum or snare or ANY part of a drum set, and hit the drum, record the sound, you can place that sound anywhere in a song and it will still sound the same, as it's a real recording of a drum. That's what this is accept we don't have to go to a studio to get the sound samples. 32 gigs of real drum sounds dude. do your research.
@TheKAM1976 It's an easy way to make drums without having to set up 50 mics and a big ass drum set. I can open up cubase and SD and make a drum track to a guitar riff within literally a minute. I can't even play drums. And for the record, it can actually sound really fucking good..Listen to periphery/animals as leaders and see..
@tiagoshade I'd honestly rather have a real drummer any day, things like ghost notes and velocity changes make the recording sound so much better. I'd use SD for stuff like demos and what not.
