I think i is much more likely that Sam Callis is one of the new WHITE cloaks. Ygritte, Melisandre, Podrick, Gilly, Davos and Margaery are perfect by the way. The reason they made Brienne pretty was because she will almost without a doubt develope a relationship with a certain opposite of herself (If you've read the books, you know who i mean) besides, its easy to make somebody look more ugly. Also, she gets less pretty as the story progresses (again you know what i mean).

The cast looks just great. They all resemble the type of characters in the book.

A few and unimportant criticisms: Roose Bolton should be more thin of face and the Halfhand more solid. Oh and Dontos a little older.

But it's pretty much bang on. Can't wait for April 1st.

@FilthyPrettyGlamDoll Brienne is described as terribly ugly and most characters comment on it, as well as the endless insults she receives. Ygritte is mostly homely/cute but bordering on cute/pretty territory. I imagine living as a wildling beyond the wall doesn't do well for washing up and keeping your hair in line. Which may have contributed to her not being "hawt". Tangled hair and all that.

Some people are saying that Natalie Dorme is too old to play Margaery, my guess is that they might put some nude seen for the role not written in the books. Emilia Clarke is also older than Daenerys and she did a pretty good job so chill out Margaery isn't that important in ACOK, her major role begins is only on ASOS.

@jaimeriviera Without spoiling stuff for others, Alton is a mash-up of a couple Lannister characters (or so we've been told), Jayne is the bride of Rob and the Spice King is a character that deals with Daenerys.

The things that happened between her and Robb happened indeed during the events of the second book but since he's not a POV character and Catelyn wasn't with him, they never mentioned. The show is going to correct that :) I'm glad to say and give them their back story.

@Nixiae The reason why I put him in there is because people kept talking about him being in Season 2 and no one really knew why because supposedly he is only a Gold Cloak and HBO doesn't do press releases for minor casting decisions so that made people think that he had a bigger role rather than being "just a Gold Cloak".... hence I put (rumored) behind his name.

I don't mind that Asha's name was changed to Yara. Does it REALLY matter? Sure, those of us who have read the books will have to remember to use a different name when talking about the show, but that's all. Not a big deal. Also, Brienne and Ygritte will almost certainly be uglied up. Those looked like headshots to me, so of course the picture would make them look as appealing as possible. The make-up team HBO has is first-rate. It'll be fine, folks.

Weird... Not in a bad way it's just that I always think the way people look in the books is really important because GRRM is always giving out subtle hints to stuff and I think changing something like this is a bad move. The summer islanders are dark, it's a way to distinguish between nationalities idk

@AsiaBreen They changed it because the people who made the show killed off Rhakaro in season 1 (despite GRRM telling them that he would have an important role later on) so they reintroduced a new guy to play Rhakaro's role and renamed him. Annoying. Also, I hate that they changed Asha's name.

Gilly looks exactly how I pictured Ygritte, but this Ygritte isn't bad either. I kinda imagined Qhorin a bit younger, I don't even know why. Also, Margaery should be younger and prettier. The rest is great.

I really do hope they cast the Reeds. Jojen especially is essential!

There have been speculations about the Reeds not being cast yet. But since little and big Walther are not cast either, I think it is most likely that they are just not announcing any of the child-actors too soon, to avoid the hype. Writing the Reeds out of the story just seems too unlikely, or rather impossible.
