Interesting but the whole point of the sung melody is to be syncopated on the beat of the entire song so their way of singing with some long notes doesn't really work but it's hard to beat Bowie and the original

The first time i ever heard of Pat Metheny Group was seeing Falcon and the Snowman. I've been with them every since.

I saw Pat Metheny group during the imaginary day tour and he had Mark Ledford with him. What an unbelievable talent. My young kids are getting into jazz and they love him....was deeply saddened to hear that he had passed away. Check out his work on the song "follow me" which can be found on you tube. One of the best songs ever and his contribution is great.
