This people, "Maiko" not. "Geisha" and "Hangyoku" I think. Two women dressed in kimono "Hangyoku" with women who play the shamisen "Geisha" is. When you left the picture, "Obi" the knot "Fukurasuzume" not a "Maiko" is not the knot. Also, "Maiko" is unique to the foundation of the neck, "the line" There are lines that are not video. The hem of the kimono "Ohikizuri" is one of the reasons for that are not. Sorry but, to these people, "Maiko" I want you to call it quit.
And maiko wear red collars decorated with white, not all white ones. And they wear hikizuri furisode, which means trailing, because their kimono have trains. And their sleeves should be cropped at one point and then reattached, in a sort of way.
They may be dressed similar to maiko, but they're not real maiko. They may be real geisha, though. Real maiko wear a long, dangling obi, thus named "darari." And real maiko do not wear wigs, and those women are wearing wigs. Very pretty video, though. =)

In Tokyo they are not called maiko, they are called hangyoku. They are a bit different though, yes. But only Kyoto apprentices are called maiko.

What a great performance! The musician was also very good. I wonder if that's some kind of summer dance? The kimonos look summerish. ^^,

@AyilanaEien
They are from Tokyo, therefore their attire differs somewhat from that of a Kyoto maiko.

@NicolaAlexandrovna In tokyo are hangyoku, they aren't hangyoku too. They're furisode-san.
