I actually get banned In the early TBC, and got it back again in the beginning of cataclysm, which is around 3 years? I was banned from buying power leveling, and i got a message from blizzard that my character was banned, and if i had something to say about it, i was allowed to mail them 1 message, i did and nothing happened.
In cataclysm i then tried again - spontaneously - and i talked with a gm, and he told me he couldn't see why i was banned, but he told me to mail them, and got unbanned.
@Flamemaster900 Blizzard cares about botters, in a way that they want them. It's part of the game and it's what keeps the economy running at all time. They just ban a couple of them from time to time to make their players feel like they don't like them. This way all normal players dont get crazy and don't all start to bot.

Boting has nothing to do with the freedom of playing the game the way you want it because boting is not playing the game. its making an automaton play it for you so you can get ahead of everyone else without putting your time skill and will to it. One time my account got permanetly banned and they accused me of selling gold and i was like lvl 60 and i didnt know what that meant so i called in and said wtf is going on i didnt do shit and then they sent me an email saying a compromise has been set then re opened the account.

I cancelled an account and got it restored 4 years later. Before I closed the account I deleted my lvl60 toon. They restored my account and undeleted my toon. Every single item in inventory and in the bank was restored even the quest logs were there.

Blizzard by law must keep even the banned accounts in storage for the lifetime of the game. This has cropped up in the past with EverQuest and other MMO's.

Sold my wow account 2 years back because I didnt feel like playing anymore.
1 year after this I decided to get back to wow again so I hacked my account back, it later showed (after talking with the latest owner) that my account was permanetely banned. But after sending blizzard a picture of my ID they decided to take away the bann.
I cancelled my WoW account about three years ago (Classic WoW) and was able to reactivate the account and retrieve my previous characters just last month. However I was never banned o.O
I already have a solution. Bilzzerd need to just make servers that would alow people to do what ever they want. THat way all the people that want to cheat can and people that dont get to play on the other servers
@ConsistentSniper Thats why there are private servers. Free to play every month, instant 85, and any gear you want. You just have to type in an item code found on thottbot and bam you got it. I did that for just over a month and it was boring as shit.
Botting is a cheap way to do things Markee, i admit. However if the people that do it are still paying for the time to do it and are still paying for their bots to play, i honestly dont see why Blizz gets so pissed. @masterreaper9 The authenticator is something you can get from Blizzard. It's basically a device hooked up to your account and you have to generate a random code from the device and type it into your log-in screen to play. Usually hackers put these on old accounts.

Hi markeedragon when i got hacked and i was banned because he was selling gold / my account and taking it back i talked to a very nice individual in blizzard entertainment and got my account back so there is a chance he could get it back open

Sold my wow account 2 years back because I didnt feel like playing anymore.
1 year after this I decided to get back to wow again so I hacked my account back, it later showed (after talking with the latest owner) that my account was permanetely banned. But after sending blizzard a picture of my ID they decided to take away the bann.
So it is possible to restore a banned account.

I cancelled my WoW account about three years ago (Classic WoW) and was able to reactivate the account and retrieve my previous characters just last month. However I was never banned o.O

I already have a solution. Bilzzerd need to just make servers that would alow people to do what ever they want. THat way all the people that want to cheat can and people that dont get to play on the other servers

@ConsistentSniper Thats why there are private servers. Free to play every month, instant 85, and any gear you want. You just have to type in an item code found on thottbot and bam you got it. I did that for just over a month and it was boring as shit.

Botting is a cheap way to do things Markee, i admit. However if the people that do it are still paying for the time to do it and are still paying for their bots to play, i honestly dont see why Blizz gets so pissed. Some people dont have time to play the game hardcore, i know i dont, so no while i dont bot, yes i do wish i could without getting banned cause i want to enjoy the high end gaming without having to invest tons of time. I would still pay, just not play till im ready.

HI, You don't know what your talking about.
They do keep all the account info and yes you can get it back. Why would they do this? It costs you $15 to reactivate the account and another $25 to probably server transfer. It is NOT histiry, it is NOT done, they WILL look at you sideways. This guy is pulling shit out of his ass.

My account got locked or banned idk how but....When i tried to log in one day under the "Password" Slot there is something that says Authenticator.. can anyone tell me if this glider shit has to do with it? Cuz i never gone to this glider ppl talk about...HELP its been months and months i was banned like late 2009...

@masterreaper9 The authenticator is something you can get from Blizzard. It's basically a device hooked up to your account and you have to generate a random code from the device and type it into your log-in screen to play. Usually hackers put these on old accounts.

they keep everything for about 70 years i think in their database for safety reasons..
or maybe it was 30, donno 100%.. But i do n not think they will care much for any account banned for that, unless you want to spend some thousands of dollars going to the court.. and.. want to spend som quality time going back-forth-from-your-house-to-the-court.. you get the idea?

My account of 3 years was banned today, They told me i was Buying & selling gold.. Odd really as i make all my own money from the game with Professions. and would never dream of doing otherwise.

@cdnbrit My friend had the same problem, He just started on the US servers and after a week They Closed his account for the same thing! He had no gold to sell and he didn't need to buy it. Blizzard is just does not care anymore.

We finally got an email from blizz Stating that "An automated system Banned her account" for following farming routes in Scho basin.. We replied "No shit Shirlock" I'm going to cancel my account when my time runs out. Getting banned 4x for doing nothing leaves a bitter taste in your mouth..
