  • this is a pretty fun move to do after a dive roll. well what I normally do is i roll into one that spring up and then do a handspring. also if you practice this for a while you can do it wit no hands although it requires a good bit of neck strength.

  • i skipped the bridge part, and i mastered the kip up in a day, an average ordinal 17 year old, im pretty sure everyone else can do it, just dont be afraid to land!!

  • It can also be done without the support of your hands. Try using your shoulder and the back of your head at the same time to push you up but it'll hurt your neck afterward.

  • @gbbreakdancin That is called no handed kip up and its a bit difficult than handed kip up, But many people find no handed kip up easier.

  • @gbbreakdancin your neck will get used to it and won`t hurt at all.I`m agree with jimluthra the no handed kip seems easier because i tried them both without tutorials from someone and the kip up takes you a longer time to make.

  • I learned to kip up when i was 13 and taking a break dance class. Also took me about a week, but u get the hang of it pretty quickly, u just have to keep doing it until ur body can get accustomed on how to balance into it and how much force u need to put into it aswell. You will fail at first. Don't let it discourage you.

  • @jimluthra exactly, i'm 14 and i wanted so much to learn it as my friend could do it and i couldn't so i asked him to teach me, he just did it and i observed a few times, i tried on the grass the entire day and i could do it but not 100% right, then after a week and some days i mastered :D

    When I started I was afraid to even kick n Here I am now can do rubber bands quire easily & also have a tutorial on kip up. One thing always keep in mind, Always understand the technique of a certain movement before trying it otherwise failure will appear on your menu.

  • Thank you so much jimluthra! With your help, I'm able to get my kip up faster, I'm still not fully on my feet,. but I'm higher off the ground (less squatted) than before. Thank you so much, I think my main problem is that pushing the air, do i push up or forward? I think that's my main problem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I can almost do a full kip up now! Can you answer about the hands! When I push the air do I push up or forward? And what does arching your back means? Thank you so much!!

  • @boreoutofmybrain44 if you are landing in a bridge, that means u r not pushing hard, practice on pushing and also try to kick harder.

  • @boreoutofmybrain44 Both, first push the ground when you're in air swing ur hands forward, that will give you extra momentum for landing and not falling back. it sounds tricky but once u'll get it, it'll easy.
