It can also be done without the support of your hands. Try using your shoulder and the back of your head at the same time to push you up but it'll hurt your neck afterward.

I learned to kip up when i was 13 and taking a break dance class. Also took me about a week, but u get the hang of it pretty quickly, u just have to keep doing it until ur body can get accustomed on how to balance into it and how much force u need to put into it aswell. You will fail at first. Don't let it discourage you.

@boreoutofmybrain44 Both, first push the ground when you're in air swing ur hands forward, that will give you extra momentum for landing and not falling back. it sounds tricky but once u'll get it, it'll easy.
