Why is it whenever I listen to a metal band on youtube, there are always people arguing about what is metal, and what type of metal the band is?

I love metal, but so many of the people who listen to it are annoying. They are closed minded. Everything has to be the same. Whenever there is an unique, band they criticize them. Music evolves over the years. Music 20 years ago is not like today. They just want the same thing over and over, but they will then criticize a band for stealing a sound.

Hellhammer IS one of their main influences. Besides black metal, though, they're also influenced by crust punk (like Amebix) and doom metal (obviously), hence the slowed down pace. Gotta disagree about the not intriguing comment, though. Of course doom metal has always been one of the most underground and unappreciated styles ('cept Black Sabbath) but this band is fucking killer. Raw, dark and heavy, in league with the best of them.
