  • ya but they sure were good a gas milage .and gas prices were so cheap back then also

  • WOW! ... I never realized there were so many white people living in Japan.

  • the 1980-1983 Honda Civic was assembled in

    Suzuka, Japan

    East London, South Africa

    Nelson, New Zealand

  • look at all the happy owners of a new lawn mower XD

  • i have a 1981 honda civic 4 door hatchback, i've never seen another one in my life. im repairing the rust and body damage right now then im gona try to restore everything and clean it all...I know nothing about cars but i do like this car alot. It runs sooooo good for its age..

  • How do you say "blown head gasket" in Japanese?

  • Toyota Cressida

  • @quirpco i think its pronounced "easy fix"

  • Look at all the happy honda owners :)

  • untill it broke down

  • @CatoLongHair hahha :D

  • This looks like the '80 Civic, not the '82. Note the round headlights on the blue one about halfway through - the '82 (and onward) had square headlights instead.

  • @packrat79 I'd say this was likely 1982 - being a compilation of happy Honda owners there is an intentional mix of 1st and 2nd gen models here (the different shapes of the rear side windows are a giveaway, and the end shot shows a 1st gen)...

  • Looks like they shot this advert in Sydney, Australia! - as for that particular Civic generation, here in New Zealand they are still common...

  • those are still common there? here in british columbia, canada, even the '88-'91 civics are kinda getting rare!

  • Yep! We use grit instead of salt on our roads in wintertime, resultantly one will often see an early 80s Honda (and other Japanese vehicles from that time) still going strong...

  • wow! they should do the same here. they use mainly salt here, and it ruins the cars. i guess it's better to have old cars replaced because of safety and emissions, but i really like the older cars so it kind of makes me sad.

  • Yea it tears those old japanese vehicles up. There are hardly any 1980`s hondas or toyotas on the road up here in ohio. If they are running they usually have bad rust problems.
