Just a little curious don't want to derail, but what subs for Gokaiger do you watch eva? The clips you showed in your Gokai Magi/Deka reviews looked like GUIS and the clips here are clearly TVN. Just curious, I watch OT myself but I consider myself buddies with some of the members of GUIS and have friends who watch TVN.

Well, that also goes along with their weaknesses too. So far as I am aware, no team before Gokaiger stands out as overpowered compared to any other series. And so really it just balances out.

Keeping my distance was better, because there was ALWAYS a one-second lag- in addition to the standard freeze-up of controls after being hit- that made me extra vulnerable to melee. So I could go from perfect 3.1k health to 0 in a few seconds without lifting a finger. My only hope was keeping clear and using rifles and cannons; I wasn't skilled enough w/ rockets except in LS where I pwned with them.

@EVAUnit4A i mostly played CTF, and thus i never really had a chance to shoot from a distance without getting killed be melee, so i became a melee user myself, but this one berserker sword or something, like a week before it went down.

Other than LS, I worked as hard as I could at CTF, mostly as defense/recovery, with occasional dabbing into healing cappers. I didn't touch the DMs, and I wasn't that helpful in TC except for sniping. (When sniping, which I WAS good at, players would sneak behind me and I'd get owned that way, regardless of even being a fatty.)

I preferred medium mechs for maneuverability, defense, EN recov and cooldown (I was a fiend for the latter two specifically).

'Cept for the legs, I always thought the Aerobolt resembled an EVA Unit.

Yeah, initially I didn't worry about stats, but when I joined Okami in early '08, I got school'd in the matter.  I never could get a well-balanced mech, though. They kept having me put heavier parts with lower EN recov, and I was always left power-less in a 1v1.

Never could properly tame shotties, so I stuck with rifles and SMGs.

Gozyujin's shield mode looks more like Beast Wars Dinobot's shield to me. The defense rod of the Flags and Enacts of Gundam 00 is more akin to Seikuu-Oh's use of Toripter's rotor in terms of positioning. And I'm totally with you on trident mode looking more like some kind of railgun blaster.

For a few years. I liked the premise, but I was a terrible player. I was with Clan Okami ("We Eat Your Parents") for two years before it more-or-less crumbled out of boredom in the last four months before the servers came down.

This seems to be the most articulated Super sentai robot ever produced from what I've seen. I can't really name any super sentai or pr toy that has knee and ankle joints. So this isn't a complete brick when in giant robot mode.

Also I've heard of a cheat with gojyujin's head. if you loosen the screw holding the head just a bit on you can get it to turn side to side. also this is my own idea but i think if you fold down the shoulder pads on the tail and trex arms. you can acess the other connection holes and have gojyujin have his arms point straight out by connecting the arms with those holes

I don't think the getting hit in the groin bit will NEVER make it into Power Rangers. When Burai attacked the ZyuRangers, He slapped Goushi/Mammoth Ranger in the groin and that got cut out in the Power Ranger episode.

Like I said in the video, this toy is still of the limb-swap era and world financial crisis, but it's a standout because it does things that haven't really been done since 2002.

Why must everyone hate Go-onger, even the creators?!?), but i am just making the point that by now, limb swapping is expected and the best that can be hoped for is as few as possible, and as many GOOD ones as possible. Gao-lion, and shinken gokai oh, weren't that bad and while they were leg swapping, it's one of the better grand powers, albeit overused.

Ehh, I had a lot of issues with it. Lag and hackers were the two big ones. I got pwned in melee fights, and had to dodge like hell for gun fights. My mind just wasn't equipped to handle the speed and imbalance of "Exteel".

In three years of playing (I was with Okami for two of those years), I gave up on the game four times, including the last three months before it closed.

Good concept, beautiful mech and background(!) designs, but it had too many things against it.

The crashes didn't get too bad in the last year of operation. It's lack of updates, hackers, and poor balance that ruined it.

My problems were lag, and my brain wasn't fast enough compared to other gamers out there. I got pwned easily in melee and had to dodge like hell in close quarters battles.

If I hadn't been part of Clan Okami for 2.5 years, I probably wouldn't have gotten as good as I did... such as that was.
