I think the only reason the wings were shut out by the penguins last week is because we didn't have one of our strongest players out on the ice due to injury and on top of that the team just appeared tired and lethargic. However, on Saturday when they played at the Joe, they had a lot more energy and appeared more rested than they did earlier in the week. Its going to be really interesting to see how the next game is going to fall. I would love to see the cup come back home here to Hockeytown.

If Osgood gets scored on he doesn't have any reaction; he just stands up takes, a drink, and gets right back into the game. Lidstom is like that too. Most young goalies like Fleury get shaken up because they don't know how to what to think of themselves because they haven't been playing at this level. As for Crosby and Malkin, offense wins games and defense wins championships.

Even in 08 the league tried to screw Detroit. Look at game 6 in 08, and how Pitt slashed Datsyuk, cross checked Rafalski, did anything they wanted. The 5 on 3s were everywhere. The league made it obvious they wanted Cindy to win. In 09 they finally succeeded. Detroit should've taken it in 5 games. You're a homer if you don't realize that. It's as plain as day.

The only good thing about the Red Wings losing in 2009 is that they'll be featured in all ads this season making it look like they were the ones who won, as the NHL did with Pittsburgh when they lost in 2008.

The wings deserved to win last year, and the pens deserved to win this year. I thought that the wings fans were classy enough, with a few exceptions, and I feel the same about the pens fans last year. I don't think any fans from either team has anything to complain about.

I think the only reason the wings were shut out by the penguins last week is because we didn't have one of our strongest players out on the ice due to injury and on top of that the team just appeared tired and lethargic. However, on Saturday when they played at the Joe, they had a lot more energy and appeared more rested than they did earlier in the week. Its going to be really interesting to see how the next game is going to fall. I would love to see the cup come back home here to Hockeytown.

yes, but both Lidstrom and Datsyuk are due in for saturday. In fact, Datsyuk skated fine by himself on wednsday. We also have Hossa playing his best AND have Cleary playing his best AND have the deepest defence in the league. Put out Lidstrom and Ericsson against Crosby and Malkin to hopefully shut them down, then we put out our tough guys Kronwall and Stuart against Pittsburgh's second line. We also have Ozzy playing fantastic plus he is better mentally than Fleury. AND we are MORE mature.

it doesnt matter if theyre due for game one theyre still not gonna be a 100%. and playing back to back games will hurt the wings too. ill give it to you that the wings are more deep then the pens, but fleury is playing his best hockey right now. ever since the save on ovechkin in game 7 hes been perfect. and also i think the pens will win the cup because they are more hungry for it

Yes, but Fleury is known for choking in crucial games, and Osgood is known for being able to shrug things off. If Osgood gets scored on he doesn't have any reaction; he just stands up takes, a drink, and gets right back into the game. Lidstom is like that too. Most young goalies like Fleury get shaken up because they don't know how to what to think of themselves because they haven't been playing at this level. As for Crosby and Malkin, offense wins games and defense wins championships.

It happens, and while it is a bit of a letdown, they finished all of their series in this playoff run on the road. Admittedly, they should have won Game 5 if the refs didn't give Pittsburgh the game by bad calls, but they simply delayed the inevitable.
