dajjal did not appear in muhammad s.a.w. time but a man named saf ibn sayyad who was thought to be dajjal as he had many of his traits in both looks and ways,but he was not the!dajjal to come in the last days cause ibn sayyad had embraced islam the dajjal will be a young human born from amongst the pagan jews.

@imshabs - asslamualikum.remember that messengers only say what Allah tell them , and so all the prophets were old of an upcoming false messiah, to show its importance.No prophet knew when he will come, only Allah knows.

When dajjal is only to come during the time of Muhammad's (S.A.W) ummah why other prophets warned about dajjal to their respective ummahs. Can any one answer me?

My opinion is that Dajjal existed for a long time, possibly longer than humanity (like the djinn). He was not physically released until Muhammed (saws). I believe he exists outside of our dimension of space/time until a certain point. He is in our dimension of space now, but he is not in our dimension of time (as the sheikh will explain).

no one know when Day of judgment will come even not Prophet muhammed saw .....so all prophets tell their nations to beware of dajjal so Dajjal will come near Day of Judgment which is unknown to whole world but ALLah knows only

@imshabs Remember dajjal means deception! it good be the deception that makes a person want the immediate rather than pursue the eternal.this was the fitnah in every age. Although it is agreed upon that it is a physical person who is going to come out soon.

Why were people warned about the Day of Judgement from the beginning? It has a lot of reasons. First of all, see I am not a scholar but I think this is the best explanation I can give according to my limited understanding,

As I was saying that people have been warned about this being again and again through different traditions, and then Muhammad (PBUH) repeats the same thing to his Ummah so that all of them are prepared and all of the Muslim Ummah knows what is in stores

The second reason is A way of testifying that this Prophet is from the same Allah who has sent Moses, Jesus, Abraham, and the rest (May Allah's blessings be upon them) And has the same message that Allah is One, nothing new....

See, there are a lot of things which our minds cant understand and there is indeed Allah's way of doing things. I submit to Allah's will, and HE is the ONE who is to be Trusted.

@imshabs The reason why all prophets warned their people about the Dajjal is because the Dajjal is going to test all of mankind and not only the Muslims. Everyone will be tested by the fitnah (test) of the Dajjal the Antichrist. These are the words of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

@imshabs Dajjal is not only the physicall individual, it is also a socio-cultural phenomenon. All Prophets warned about the socio-cultural dajjal and only Muhammad sAws said dajjal is one eyed, therefore warning about the individual entity. Other Prophets nations still exist today and when dajjal appears, they might also reconise him so the warning of their Prophets may then lead them to Islam when FITNA (discord) of dajjal will appear... WA ALLAHU A3LAM, wa antum la ta3lamun.
