There is a mod for the PC version on the skyrimnexus called follower tweaks that allows you to make your follower use any weapon/armour/clothing you give them regardless of stats.

A very handy mod for those of you who wish bethesda shipped the game with more customization options for followers.

Lol I love skyrim but I'm trading it in for battlefield 3. I beat the main story line, the thieves guild, the civil war, the collage of winterhold, and the dark brotherhood. It is a really good game. I don't rate games until I explore most of it like dsp so I recommended it. Rating: 9

I bought it for my PS3, I deal with "slow-down" by regularly deleting old (mainly "auto") game saves, keeping the most recent 'safe' ones instead. The reason I bought a PS3 instead of 360 is because I don't want to have my game-experience interrupted with disc change-overs, such as the 360 version of Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy 13, L.A.Noire & Skyrim have on the 360 but not the PS3.

Does the PC version of this game also have the benefit of fast loading? I had to buy PS3 version cuz I didnt have a choice. Didnt have a good game PC. Anyway, Im asking cuz Phil's game loaded things in like a half second, where as I had to wait 5 to 10, sometimes 15 mins for anything to load. And, on top of that, mine lags SOOOO fucking much!! I feel like im playing online MP matches. I just want to know if I dont have to deal with that, or at least not as much, if and when I get the PC version.

1.) When you mine ore, gather mushrooms/flowers etc., will they ever regrow in that area, or are they gone forever?

2.) I haven't explored everywhere in the game yet. But I want to continue the main storyline. So I'm wondering if anyone can tell me (without spoiling the ending please) if you can continue to explore the lands after you finish the main story.

@mrfoxhound2 The bigger and more bug-prone a game is when developed for Xbox and PC, the more likely and prevalent bugs will be on the PS3, especially because there are some bugs caused by faulty base programming, i.e. the game just had a bug for everyone, and bugs caused by the porting process. This is not a hard thing to get around, but the truth is that Sony put this situation into existence. They had options, and they chose this. But for better judgment does the blame lie with them.

Phil, you're forgetting the ability for people to add mods to the game. As they did with Oblivion, Skyrim has a huge modding community with new spells, armors, weapons, actions, places to go and more. The ability to download the mod from steam and just seeing for instance better looking npcs as simple as that is a huge positive to the pc version.

I thought that the voice acting was amazing. They had about 70 something voice actors i think. But i thought it was cool that every character said had their own unique line for so many situations (eg. you approaching them with fire, them seeing dragons, them seeing you kill a dragon) ONTOP of their regular dialogue. Each character has a consistent voice and thats what i love (not like oblivion where beggars would switch from an extreme cockney accent to american in a second).

After watching all 385 parts over those several weeks periods of times and as you said in the last part Phil you congratulate me and I am very glad for that, I think I certainly would enjoy this game very much and be able to do the things I wanted you to do in it. Ok. so if there is 400 parts to the playthough and lets say their are roughly 11 minutes per part 400x11=4400 Minutes, if you divide it by 1 hour (60 minutes) that means DSP roughly played 73.3 hours, repeating of course. Keep in mind this is a rough estimate so if im wrong then i must have took an arrow to the knee :D

On second thoughts, I agree with you that Batman should be rated higher then Rayman Origins. It is very close between Batman and Skyrim for game of the year. Excellent reviews man.
