This started because Twilight fans totally swamped and blocked out many other audiences to attend their booth at Comic Con, so people feel assaulted by the fans. And why does it matter how Vampires are depicted if they're not real? Because their mythology has still been reinforced over centuries even if untrue. Good fiction still beats bad fiction.
Yeah, he does seem to be purposefully antagonistic, and the young man he's interviewing seems uncomfortable and unsure how to respond to his questions. I'm not sure if the gentleman's aim was to understand the demonstration, so much as it was to show some irritation with the whole thing.
I can understand both sides of the argument. But it does seem to me that, given the sheer overwhelming volume of excitement Twilight generates, it would be better to make it a separate event.
