I was never a fan of Adam Lambert and I never watched idol but my friend got me to listen to his mad world performance and I thought it was brilliant. And I thought Adam was just another lousy singer. I guess it was my bad. He's THIS good. What a regret not to watch idol :/ Anyway, Mad World is beyond amazing. I mean, what can I say? This guy's got some talent!

TFF's version, the original, is a completely different and more upbeat arrangement. I never liked Gary Jules' version. Partly, I suppose, because it was the Christmas #1 here in the UK in 2003 and I found it so depressing (plus it kept the Darkness off #1). In fact, when I found out Adam was going to perform it on AI, I thought "Good God, no!" but when he did, I loved it. I was so pleased I stayed up to watch the live streaming that night ... but I couldn't sleep afterwards :-)

I was thinking the same thing. The man has the most amazing voice with a range like no other. To have the ability to belt out a show-stopper like Whole Lotta Love and then go to a falsetto ballad like this and still sing with such passion that it silences his audience is unheard of.
