  • great video. helped me ou a lot. =)

  • So When you connected your did you have any problem with your blinker, flickering faster then normal ?

  • that would so void my warrenty on my car..

  • Don't do that!!! This guy is idiot who has no idea what he is doing. This is the way to burn your car and don't get insurance payment

  • i did this and some of the led burned out like only 2

  • Make a video except using the fuse box

  • how much do the leds cost. the one the guy put in?

  • why and the hell did you do that!! you could have used the cigarette lighter in the center console.

instead of you cutting into the main harness now if any moisture gets on to the slice it will cause

    a short.

  • i need help installing them in the under dash. where does the fuse thing go?!?!

  • blue lights with a red dash u sir are amazing!

  • kinda a stupid question but why wouldnt you do your leds in red to match your car lights?

  • why in the hell did you go all the way up to the head light for power when you could have tapped in under the dash?

  • @iamsuperbleeder funny you said that really. because i was just about to make a video on how to tap into power under the dash! are you talking bout the fuse box?

  • @cartzar yes, but don't just pull a fuse out and stick the stripped wire into the fuse box and then shove the fuse back in... do it the right way and go buy a $3 fuse tap. find the fuse for your running lights (might be labeled tail lights or parking lights) and pull power from it with your fuse tap

  • ive been looking for a a tutorial like this all day. great job man. life saver. also, do you know how to make the lights pulsate to the beat of the music?

  • Or if your just looking to have the lights to stay on all the time you just run it into your fuse box (inside your car) on the driver side of the dashboard normally.

  • Why wouldnt you jsut run it from the positive and ground that you ALREADY ran through your driver side door.... then your not putting unnecessary wiring through the passenger door jam adding EVEN more risk of splicing the wire and shorting out your electrical system every time you open and close the door....you could easyily just run the wire behind the radio and out the other side of the back of the center consol maybe 3 foot of wire

  • When you put the wire through the door bracket every time you open door you can see the wire and that doesn't look good :) Cause i have done the same thing but the hard way :)

  • How do I connect multiple led strips?

  • Comment removed

  • You should write down the instructions on the info. Its a good video.

  • a little advice...i pulled my SMD's from the lamp above the windshield...so wether i want to keep them on or want them to turn on only when i open the doors or want to shut them off i just push a button...just saying :D

  • hey man is there a way you can hook up those kind of leds to a subwoofer or sub amplifier so that they light up when the bass hits WITHOUT damaging the amp or subwoofer??

  • Do you need to tell your insurance company that you are installing these lights?

  • @JayAOnline no sir. same thing with blacking out the tail lights, installing rims, cold air intake, exhausts, etc.

these things can be done without telling your insurance company...

  • @JayAOnline and even a turbo. just don't be a jackass around the insurance building :)

  • what about the ligths on the back seats?

  • @jonatanalmendares i havent installed them...

  • Haha o just read threw the comments and seen that fuse didn't work. :S nevermind my previous comment. Lol

  • There is another way to do it. You can get power from a fuse inside the car. You just have to check which one does not always have power going threw it. Good work though.

  • @19delreal how wuld i hook both wires to a fuse?

  • When you put the wire through the door bracket everytime you open and close your door doesnt it sinch the wire?

  • @Timmer7293 actually no, because there is a slight gap in every car door that leaves space for the rubber lining. thats where i put the wire across.

  • nice sandals

  • @pandax133 lol thx

  • Nice video! personally i wouldve chosen red LEDs to match the existing lighting but it still looks tight

  • Use 18 gauge wire and plz use a resistor with the LED bulbs. The power source should be the battery and a switch inside the car. Using the the parking light wiring will put a strain on the harness and will cause bulbs and or fuses to blow out fast. Using a switch will also add more stylish lighting in your vehicle in my opinion.

  • can u uses the back tail lights as well? or r the back tail lights dont caryy enought power to light them?

  • @cbktexas its because you didnt use proper guaged wire. the 24 guage has enough girth to have as stable connection with the lights. the wires on the led strips are too thin. also make sure that the wires are wrapped around tightly so that there is always a solid connection. if its barley touching, it will cause the light to flicker and blow a fuse.

  • just added leds to my car wit a toggle switch thanks to ur video couldnt have done it wit out it thanks 4 ur help

  • Not bad ;)

  • I think your actually retarded. Why wouldnt you just create a seperate circuit running striaght to the battery? And why would you run the wire through the cars firewall? You totally fucked up lol u made it so much harder

  • @DubCrewGeckos first off, feel free to think what you want, second if you know how to do it better, then you shouldnt be watching this vid, and third, h8rs gonnA h8

  • Okay I need help. I tried to install some LEDs tonight and when I did the Ignition Fuse blew twice. The fuse I used to connect the wires was the radio fuse in the front fuse box. Please help. Im new to this.

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 first of all, the radio has too much amperage to be messing with. Dont mess with fuses at All. Second, try connecting to a light source. All light sources are 12volts.

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 okay, dont mess with the fuse box, at all. second, make sure you try splicing into a light source, and not the radio. light sources have ideal amperage and voltage. im not sure about the radio. just try it with another source of power

  • @cartzar I bought some leds and the manual told me to connect it to any 10 amp fuse with constant power (like the radio fuse) no problem for me.. But I dont get why the igition fuse blew since the wires went to the radio fuse.. oh well :p things dont always work as it should ^^

  • @jalla24 yes you are right. but since i know that a lightbulb already works on the wires that lead to it, i will just splice into those because they are really low amperage.

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 What power source would you suggest?

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 use the power source that i use in my video. the parking light. dont mess with fuse box.

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 Thanks man! Tried it thru the headlights and works perfectly. I love it

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 no problem. glad i could help!

if you could, post a video response of your leds! i want to see how they look

  • @MIMPRODUCTIONS22 no problem. glad i could help!

if you could, post a video response of your leds! i want to see how they look

  • @cartzar just saw your comment, sure will

  • Kool kool i wanna do this but everytime i find these lights u plug em into tha cigarette lighter and i dont want that i want everything hidin like urs thank u for tha vid imma check part 2 now for tha switch

  • @DJ4000VOLT just remove the cig part and use the wires

  • good stuff bro but if you made the leds hidden it will be much much more nicer :)

  • @craziel watch part 2! i did exactly that !

  • Just tap the power to the fuse box.

  • @hyerxmas i dont want to mess with the fuse box AT ALL

  • @cartzar yea bro the fuse box is really confusing

  • where did you get the led strips from?

  • @2phlie from ebay. type in 30 smd led or 15. i chose 15 smd led

  • you can two to one spliter and find a wire that lights something up like the lights that light up the letters on the gear shift and all you have to do is snap on the two to one run the wires and its done and when you adjust the light brightness it will adjust the leds to, i did mine in like 5 mins.

  • will it affect the intensity of yr headlamps while u tend to hook up every thing in just one electric source?

  • @devil010194 no. since they are parallel circuits, it doesnt effect intensity. just try to mount different lighting projects to different sources. i mounted the front leds to the right parking light, the interiors to the left light.

  • so you hooked up all four lights into one parking light wire?

  • @Luigy2111 no. the interiors to one, the exteriors to the other

  • Props man for doing this yourself and everything, but wouldnt it have been easier to wire ur second strip of leds into the other strip of leds? then u wouldnt have to run the second wire from under the hood.

i have the exact same lights in my trailblazer, i have them in the same place as u, under my driver and passenger seat, and i have 3 near my subwoofers in the back.

  • @youngp8ntball it would have been easier. but i couldnt find a port linking the two feet areas. i couldnt figure out how to get the wire over to the second foot area.

  • @cartzar o ok, yeah in my trailblazer there was an open area between the two feet areas, so i just ran it through there,

  • do u have to soder? or can u jsut use Electrical tape ?

  • @avietcong no. solder not neccessary.

  • thanks thought i would ahve to mess with the fuse box but this is way better thanks

  • can you wire the lights to interior lights,so when you open the door it turns on and when you close them they go off ?

  • where'd u get those from

  • @rcadespades ebay

  • the "silver" wire is tin or tin coated copper

  • when are you going to upload part 2

  • I have a 2005 mazda 3 sport luxury, i bought similar lights to these from wal mart. if you want a quick easy install, take out your parking light or low beam fuse, wrap the positive wire around the positive side then reinsert the fuse once you ground it to a bold in your chasis. im sixteen and know nothing about cars and this seemed to be the quickest method.

  • @JoshPreher that may be true, but to be honest, you never want to mess with fuses. if there is a shortage within the fuse, the whole harness could burn out. i know you grounded it, but still, messing with fuses ends up backfiring.

  • question, 1) do you have to use solder? or can u just twist the wires together and electrical tape ?

    2) why 24ga instead of 18ga wire? and the wires u used are just clear speaker wires?

  • @cartzar very nice tutorial, im going to do this to my car, just one question, will these lights stay on when your driving? or only when the car is in park? thanks, and please get back to me.

  • @trb2157 thanks! they will stay on when you drive. you can install a switch to turn them off while you are driving. in part 2, it shows you my new setting so the lights arent distracting, and also it shows you how to install the switch.

  • K first off there's no need to strip all three wires from the bulb. You can test to see wich wires you need by sticking the tube's wires in the end of the bulb connector. Second that's a great method if you want to start a fire and wreck your lighting harness. Next you should never run wires where they are visible or where they could be pinched. Only fools run wires through the door jams. There are holes in the firewall you should be running through.

  • @NeonMike81 i have tried that numerous times. i have tried to find holes in the firewall. but nothing. i have also tried to drill a hole, my power drill isnt powerful enough. i have tried to strip through some rubber, that is not good enough either... if you can help me get through my firewall, ill take down this tutorial, and make a better one

  • @cartzar i have mazda mx3 i kno i had same trouble finding hole on firewall for my amp power wire.

  • this is exactly what i have been looking for. hopefully it works the same way with my honda accord. cant find part 2 yet. will be waiting for it

  • @shanteprinces thanks so much for your positive feedback! i have honestly looked everywhere to find out how to do this. but i couldnt find a single video. HOPE IT HELPS! and it would be great if everyone could spread the word! i am trying to get many views! also, i did not upload part 2 yet because i am waiting for my switch to come in the mail from ebay. it will work the same on an accord. if you can, can you upload a vid on how your interior lights looks and post as a response?
