Creating your own universe sounds to me like the coolest idea ever had by anyone. The difference between average people, and these sciencists are that average people can think about it for 5 minutes but are too lazy to even get more info. According to parallel universes(imaginations; dreams and memories) that others have access to, there was existence before I was born. Dark Energy is the infinity, and is ~70% of realization. Dark Matter(parallel universes) is the imagination and ~25% of realization. ~5% of realization is matter and anti-matter.

@EvoXfreak - According to M Theory, there are bigger things than our universe. I don't think this is technically a theory at the moment though, I think it's actually scientifically considered a hypothesis. I could be wrong there, but I haven't heard of this being officially accepted yet.

I think those membranes are the two parts of God's Brain...thinking of creation...the creation emitted from God's thoughts. We were made in God's Image but not in God's size.
A lot of these new fangled ''theories'' strike me as almost religious in nature. No physical evidence is provided. It is untested and currently untestable conjecture: hypothesis, not theory. Interesting conjecture but no more than that.

@truthiness2010 I agree with the comparison to religion. I found it interesting that there were two sort of schools of thought at first: Those who thought there were 11 dimensions, and those who thought there were only 10. Seems eerily similar to the way different religious sects form.
However, these theories seem more than just philosophy. I'm confident that 2+2=4 without having to count it out on my fingers. I tend to trust math, and there seems to be a lot of math backing up these theories.

Math alone is not a sufficient reason to believe in the existence of parallel universes. A testable hypothesis and theory are required.

Just because something is shown to be possible or probable through the use of mathematics, does not mean that this something is in fact true. That is why physicists employ real world scientific tests to turn hypotheses into working theories.
To date, no such tests have to my knowledge been conducted or even designed. I will say this however, I consider parallel universes infinitely more probable than an Almighty.
This is more plausible to believe how the Big Bang started than the premise that is started from nothing. The multiverses come from supersymmetry and antimatter. You have to think about dark matter and energy and how its coming in and out of other dimensions. What created all this? That is the new question. The infinite number of universes exist because of the way life exists. Our protons, neutrons, elections, quarks, strings live in an ocean of themselves just like the massive universes.

Using pen and paper helpf a lot with maths etc. and more difficult problems can be solved. then there is a limit how fast you can calculate things in your brain and how many operations you can execute. if you use calculators and advanced math software and computers, you can solve problem far more complex and faster then before.

My main problem with M-Theory is that, if membrains collided at our universe's beginning, wouldn't/couldn't it happen at any given moment? If this is true, why hasn't it occured again? And if it's not true, what's preventing other membrains from colliding now, that wasn't present then? According to parallel universes(imaginations; dreams and memories) that others have access to, there was existence before I was born. Dark Energy is the infinity, and is ~70% of realization. @EvoXfreak - According to M Theory, there are bigger things than our universe. I don't think this is technically a theory at the moment though, I think it's actually scientifically considered a hypothesis. I could be wrong there, but I haven't heard of this being officially accepted yet.

@truthiness2010 I agree with the comparison to religion. I found it interesting that there were two sort of schools of thought at first: Those who thought there were 11 dimensions, and those who thought there were only 10. Seems eerily similar to the way different religious sects form.
However, these theories seem more than just philosophy. I'm confident that 2+2=4 without having to count it out on my fingers. I tend to trust math, and there seems to be a lot of math backing up these theories.

Secondly, scientists positing the existence of the Oort cloud believe that many, if not most or all, near Earth objects originated there. They do not base the theory exclusively on math.
Math alone is not a sufficient reason to believe in the existence of parallel universes. A testable hypothesis and theory are required.

Just because something is shown to be possible or probable through the use of mathematics, does not mean that this something is in fact true. That is why physicists employ real world scientific tests to turn hypotheses into working theories.
To date, no such tests have to my knowledge been conducted or even designed. I will say this however, I consider parallel universes infinitely more probable than an Almighty.

This is more plausible to believe how the Big Bang started than the premise that is started from nothing. The multiverses come from supersymmetry and antimatter. You have to think about dark matter and energy and how its coming in and out of other dimensions. What created all this? That is the new question. Using pen and paper helpf a lot with maths etc. and more difficult problems can be solved. then there is a limit how fast you can calculate things in your brain and how many operations you can execute. if you use calculators and advanced math software and computers, you can solve problem far more complex and faster then before.

My main problem with M-Theory is that, if membrains collided at our universe's beginning, wouldn't/couldn't it happen at any given moment? If this is true, why hasn't it occured again? And if it's not true, what's preventing other membrains from colliding now, that wasn't present then? Why the BBC even bothered to cover such massive concepts as parallel universes, string theory and M theory to name but a few within a 30 minute programme held together by often ridiculous sound bites is beyond me. Matthew Barett, Series Producer according to the credits, should watch a few episodes of Carl Sagan's Cosmos if he wants to see how to make a physics documentary accessible to the everyman.
