I was born into the lds church in Springville, UT. I was ill in my youth, so I never married. Being single, I was an outcast. This made is much easier to leave, since they didn't consider me to be of much worth. Contributing to the growth of the lds church by having children is very important to them.

My Father in law who is Mormon asked if he could give a blessing to my newborn son. I denied him, because he felt he had the power to bless another person. @sunburst68 1st, the name of Jesus Christ's church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. No, the blessings aren't given by us. We give the blessing in the name of Jesus Christ. To make that simple, it is Jesus Christ who gives the blessing. If your newborn joined the church he would be in THE Christian church. And yes, the bishop does have authority from God.

The Holy Spirit confirmed truth in the Book of Mormon, D&C and Pearl of Great Price. A contradiction with Edy's vision -which is true? The vision of Edy, who had no faith, became an atheist, or the 1st Vision of Joseph Smith? - where the Father and Jesus Christ spoke to him. Joseph Smith had faith, followed the Bible (James 1:5) to get his vision. Edy had no faith, but called in desparation. God acts in accordance to faith. Can little faith match to greater faith as displayed by Joseph Smith?

Edy's testimony bears itself as a complaint LDS Church. A true spiritual witness to the average faithful makes no contention against anyone, because the average faithful are not chosen as prophets. Holy Spirit will only testify of the truth of the gospel, making NO contentious statement. A spiritual testimony is to bring the person into God's Church, not set them to religious battles against others.Thus her vision was either from Satan or was modified to suit her issues with the LDS Church.

Edy's testimony is questionable. I too had a vision of Jesus Christ when I was blessed into the priesthood in the LDS Church. I too felt peace, surness and truth when that vision appeared. Comparing my vision to Edy's, I question hers. Parts of Edy's testimony seems true, but parts ring far too much like the false Christian claims of "only the Bible". God did not create 32,000 Christian Churches all claiming the Bble. What seems to be is that Edy added to the vision to suit her desires.

Get a Bible and start studying it. Find an excellent Bible teacher who actually believes that the Bible is the word of God.

Since this video was posted, those few members of my family who still communicated with me have stopped communicating. I pray for them that they will come to know the true Biblical and living Jesus Christ. No secret practices or doctrines not in the Bible will ever bring eternal life with God. Read Romans 1 and Hebrews 1. Study them with a sincere heart and mind, and the truth of the Bible will be revealed to you. Do you want Jesus to say, "Depart from me. I never knew you"?
