  • He would've been gone with the Schwinn

  • Well, you don't see a frog riding a bike everyday!.

  • Who needs CGI when you can make a puppet drive a bicycle? I still don't get it how they did it O_o

  • I think this was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre. I was 5.

  • the woman who wanted him to buy her a drink is the woman from the mel brooks movies :D

  • Is this the one that was in teators

  • 1:10 Holy fuck he's riding a bike

    Wait a minute.

What the fucks with the long legs?

  • Awesome movie!! I'm just getting into the muppets now, but it's never too late to start is it?

  • @RubyFlysa Nope, never too late! :)

  • Thank God he left the swamp lol

  • Since nobody seems surprised to see a talking frog, and Hollywood is apparently looking for work with them, how can it be legal to serve frog legs as food, if that would mean killing what are sentient talking beings in this world!? Not to mention, how on Earth could frog legs be successful as a food industry in American society? Are they actually eaten in real life, ANYWHERE?

  • @molemanninethousand Frog legs are, unfortunately, popular in some areas of America, I think mostly the South, and in several foreign countries. :/

  • Oh my goodness, after watching all the seasons of The Muppet Show, I recognize so many guest stars! The girl at the bar, the piano player, they're EVERYWHERE!

  • Doc Hopper looks a lot like Glen Beck. Holy crap.

  • 4:47

Fozzie: There was a game developer who was so fat...

    Gaben: How fat was he?

Fozzie: Uh, he was so fat, that everybody liked him and there was nothing funny about him at all.

  • I've always been afraid of this movie!

  • i watched this movie man man years ago with my daddy and my mommy, and i can still rember siting next to my mom, her arm around my shoulders and my face aginst her hipp. Who ever you are that posted this GOD bless you.

  • Don't shoot the piano player! God, I love this movie...

  • "No! Myth! Myth!"

    "Yeth?"

    THIS is entertainment

  • Holy crap. Madeline Khan, Paul Williams Christopher Lloyd and Fozzie Bear all in the same bar!

  • I liked this.

My favorite show that the Muppets did was and is "Fraggle Rock". My favorite character is Red...because

  • leave him alone arnie!

  • I've wondered for a long time how they did that scene so well, with the technology of the time...

  • @rdwilliams75 Don't wonder how they did it, just enjoy the wonder!

  • Man, I'm not used to this Fozzie! He's the original voice, yes? I'm used to Muppet Treasure Island Fozzie. Odd how much the difference is.

  • @MollyKoenigStarGleek Yes, this is his original voice, Frank Oz. :)

  • I actually started freaking out when Kermit almost got crushed by that steam roller. I sort of forgot there was an hour of movie left.

  • Fozzie Bear reminds me of Mike Ditka.

  • Does Kermit's banjo keep appearing and disappearing or is it just me?

  • The first time I saw this movie a year or two ago, I didn't notice everyone on the roof so when Fozzie said, "Drinks on the house" I missed the joke :P

  • @bigkev2084

    Yes, yes he is :D

  • "That's pretty dangerous building a road in the middle of the street, I mean if frogs couldn't hop, I'd be gone with the schwinn."

  • V 36**

  • @AntiVenom69 and the new Muppet Movie

  • telly suvalas? 3;37?

  • With a name like El Sleezo, you know where this is going.

  • I love how because of how old this movie is you can tell when they're animated XD

  • It amazes me how many celebrities in the 70's and 80's were all: "Yeah, I'm 100% cool acting alongside puppets. Bring 'em on."

  • @revseth Especially if you've seen some of the cameos in the new movie involving the "hip crowd," if you get my drift.

  • @revseth not puppets my man..Muppets a bit of a differance

  • @revseth YOU MEAN MUPPETS. They're not puppets. ;)

  • I haven't seen this in years, but I remember that "gone with the Schwinn" joke. It produced a lot of groans and laughs in the movie theater.

  • 3:40 lol

  • is arnie Dom Deluise?

  • is this a real movie

  • @doubleArandom Yes, it's from 1979.

  • @doubleArandom no its fake....dumbass

  • @beasst94 u don't need 2 b mean, me and my friend have this account together but he only uses it for something about the muppets... whatever

  • HEY! There aren't any drinks on this house!

  • Way to go, Kermit! Whenever there's danger, save the instruments!

  • "Don't shoot the Piano player!" xDD

  • THIS MAKES ME WISH I COULD OF BEEN ALIVE DURING THE 70s.

  • Let's see... Dom DeLuise as Bernie the agent, James Coburn as the cafe owner, James Frawley (the movie's director) as the waiter, Madeline Kahn as the lady, Telly Savalas as her "man", Carol Kane as the "myth", and Paul Williams as the piano player.

    That's 7! 7 celebrity cameos so far! Ah-ah-ah!

  • I'm just wondering. Does Brian Muehl play the guy at the piano? Because it sounds like him almost.

  • @MrMetalmanRock No, it's Paul Williams, the composer.

  • @Fujikorific

Oh. For some reason, it sounded like him to me.

  • It took me forever to get the "drinks on the house" gag, because I didn't know that on the house meant "free". I was like, so what's the joke? :)

  • @TheGreeneyedblonde72 this guy

  • they suck at dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!like they would go on so u think u can dance.lol

  • who was the waiter guy?

  • @EddieHasscle That waiter guy was the late, great comedian; Alan King. Back when he had enough hair to sport the "Jew Fro". Good Guy, Great Comedian. Look for his old T.V. show from Comedy Central called "Inside the Comedy Mind". He understood that truly good comedy is just as much an art as music, dance, or sculpture. It is the expression of our perception of life and culture.

  • How on Earth did they film Kermit on a bike?!!! My mind has been blown. . .

  • @Cannonball970 i ask myself that eery time i watch this movie

  • @Cannonball970 its a secret! shh!

  • @Cannonball970 Easy he got on a bike and started pedaling.

  • @Superdwarf101 BAM!

  • @Cannonball970 i was thinking the same thing when i was watching the great muppet caper! haha

  • @Cannonball970 Fucking magic! Thats how!

  • You make me happy Kermit :3

  • nooo

    not Kermit's bike!

  • @bryanchello I will kill that SOB for breaking his bike. he must DIE! >:3

  • @bryanchello That bike may cost Kermit a lot of money to own. They should buy a new bike for Kermit with their own money after accidentally destroying his old one. Luckily, Kermit himself didn't get hurt or killed because jumped at the nick-o-time because he's a frog.

  • Paul Williams was also featured as a guest star on an episode of The Muppet Show Season One (at least I think it was season one).

  • It's so weird seeing the muppets' bottom halves...

  • Don't shoot piano player.

    Elton john haha

  • @rushbaby91 That's not Elton John. It's Paul Williams.

  • @H20MichaelMyers Pretty sure Don't shoot me I'm only the piano player was Elton john

  • @rushbaby91 It is Paul Williams. Check the credits.

  • @H20MichaelMyers Agree, its Paul Williams. He is on the Smokey and the Bandit movies as the rich man's son. The short one.

  • @ 6:57 confusion

  • Comment removed

  • @ 6:01 the mob is now ANGRY

  • @ 6:29 SPLAT

  • here comes the part where Paul Williams comes in Playing the piano

  • Dom DeLuise awsome David DeLuise fat fuck who stars on a shitty tv show on disney channel featuring a lame imitation of harry potter.

  • A younger James Coburn is the owner of the El Sleezo Cafe. And an older James Coburn voices Waternoose in Monsters Inc before his death. To start with and die for Disney.

  • @Rhino5855 Disney didn't buy the Muppets until 2004

  • its the chick from blazin saddles

  • @CrazyTrainisawesome Madeleine Kahn is her name.

  • I thought it was called "Don Poppa's: French Fried Crawfish", cause if it was, I think it would be very popular, don't you think?

  • "If they're holding auditions for frogs, then they must need bears too!" Impeccable logic!

  • ok i must be stupid because i don't get the joke "gone with the schwinn". yes i get that its referencing "gone with the win"(love that movie) but i still don't get it :(

  • @hopeless411 "Schwinn" was (and still is) a popular bicycle company, so that's probably what that was about.

  • a frog riding a bike...that's something you don't see everyday lol

  • "Gone with the schwin." I love Kermit.

  • "HOW FAT WAS HE?!"

  • my uncle left it to me

    is he dead?

    no he's hibernating

  • This movie is like an encyclopedia of 70s celebrities.

  • maybe you should try harrie krishner! its a running gag!. i love the muppets!

  • fozzie isn't paid enough to perform in this place

  • i was going to make a lame joke about how a certain amount of people who disliked this were doc hopper, but nobody disliked the video! :D

  • LOL Drinks on the house

"Hey I thought he said Drinks were on the house there is no drinks up here."

  • If frogs couldn't hop I'd be gone with the Schwinn. Bahahaha! Classic! <3 the Muppets!

  • His lost,

Maybe he should try Hare Krishna.

    HA!

  • Telly Savalas... gotta ove him

  • 1:11 How does he do that?!

  • waka waka

  • Hey, the piano player is...A dream date in knee pads with Paul Williams!!!

  • Im from Louisana and I used to eat frog legs, then I saw this movie and gave it up. Its not easy being green and the object of ones appetite

  • @MrTimalex1 Reminds me of a fact why I don't like eating moose meat. When I was little my favourite toy was a toy-moose. :D

  • play something snappy!

  • lol 'don't shoot the piano player'

  • He was so fat the everybody liked him and there was nothing funny about him

  • Wait. That man in the rowboat was Dom DeLuise?

  • @KBAFourthtime Nope, James Coco, who also showed up on an episode of "The Muppet Show" and in "The Muppets Take Manhattan" as a dog owner leaving his precious poopsie at Rowlf's kennel.

  • @LaDracul Then where was DeLuise in this movie?

  • @KBAFourthtime Sure was.

  • @KBAFourthtime yes he was.

  • @KBAFourthtime Yes, it was! :-)

  • @KBAFourthtime Yes, it was! :-)

And James Coburn, and Madelyn Kahn, and Telly Savalas (sp?), and John Williams.....This movie, like the series was LOADED with celebrities! It was GREAT!

  • @KBAFourthtime yeah

  • @KBAFourthtime Wow. He didn't sound a thing like him.

  • @DogoHalibar I wasn't sure of that either...

  • @KBAFourthtime Well, that's ONE celebrity cameo down...

  • @KBAFourthtime It is Dom DeLuise! OMG, I did not recognized him until now!

  • Kermit's dancing. Dying.

    "Two, three, kick!"

  • Madeline Kahn yay!

  • Geez, this movie has more hilarious parts in the first 20 minutes that most comedy films today can't achieve in their entire run time.

    An absolute classic

  • gone with the schwinn... lol

  • Since when does everyone in Hollywood eat frogs legs?

  • @imortal2demon1 because bears normally sing and dance?

  • how'd they get kermit to flippin ride a bike?!

  • @MewMewLea16 There's a crane out of view from the camera and Kermit is a marionette. They are basically moving him around on top of the crane while they would switch hand puppet in some scenes.

  • is there more than one muppet movie?

  • @MegaSonadow Yes. There been ten Muppet movies and soon there will be eleven on November 23rd when Disney's The Muppets hits theaters. This is the first one ever.

  • @AntiVenom36

How has there been 10 movies?

  • @MrMetalmanRock 1. The Muppet Movie 2. The Great Muppet Caper 3. Muppets Take Manhanttan 4. Muppet Christmas Carol 5. Muppet Treasure Island 6. Muppets From Space 7. Kermit's Swamp Years 8. It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas 9. Muppet Wizard of Oz 10. The Muppets: Letters To Santa
  • @AntiVenom36

I consider Letters to Santa a Christmas special. I don't see how it's a movie.

  • @MrMetalmanRock I could be wrong on that. I forgot how long Letters To Santa runs. If it runs more than an hour, it's a movie, but if it runs less than an hour, then it's not a movie.

  • @AntiVenom36

I remember seeing the Letters to Santa special on TV. So, it's an hour long.

  • @AntiVenom36 If it wasn't in the thearters, it doesn.t count- Muppets from space was the last movie, but some don't count the onesw after Jim Henson died, so that only makes the first 3. The new one looks good imho.

  • Aww how cute! On the way Kermit rides the bicycle, I'm so amazed that it looks so realistic!

LOL "don't shoot the piano player" XD

    That frog can dance!

"You think the crowd's ugly you should see the dancing girls" XD lol I bet they're worse! Fozzie you are funny!

  • He certainly made millions of people happy :)

  • fozzie: you think the crowds ugly you should see the dancing girls, that cracked me up.and they say fozzie ain't funny.

  • how wow his bike crushed FLAT yet still had the front standing...

  • apprently Paul Williams cant play the piano... thats wat i herd

  • Wow, 4 of the 5 actors with cameos so far in this movie are dead.

  • Paul Williams doesn't sing in this movie. He plays the piano. He plays the snappy music to get Fozzie and Kermit to dance onstage, because the El Sleezo dancing girls are on vacation.

  • At 0:03, Bernie spanks the newspaper.

  • Poor Fozzie! He can't even catch a break with his jokes!

  • XD look at the frog dance

  • @TheSuperpop33 LOL that is so funny.

  • *The strong says* Oh yeah! Waka Wkka!

  • Look at those legs ha ha!

  • I love how Kermit wanted to make millions of people happy , as did his creator/voice, Jim henson, and thats just what he did. R.I.P Jim henson

  • Was part of this movie really shot in Albuquerque? I've lived in Albuquerque for 5 years! I love Albuquerque. I also miss it. I live in Glendale, Arizona now.

  • woka woka!!!

  • tee hee, tee hee, "gone with the schwinn...." lols

  • was the owner Lee Marvin?

  • @Zoras88 It was James Coburn.
