It's coming. I am convinced of that. I am from Washington state and I believe that the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington are going to breakaway to form the Republic of Cascadia in the near future. I would have no problem if our Californian neighbors decide to join us in leaving this crumbling union. In spite of a couple of issues, I can see Cascadian-Californian relations to be cordial.

California for independence! Make sure to legalize hemp and decriminalize marijuana. Hemp so that we can cultivate it create jobs, food, clean hemp plastics, fabrics, textiles, biofuel and depollute the environment. California must set the example for solar, wind and ocean wave energy so that we can power public facilities, public mass trains and trolleys, and distill and recycle sewer and sea water. Have birth limits per couple to halt overpopulation. Ban aspartame. Protect wildlife.Viva Cali!

I'm a proud 4th generation Californian native, I'm all for promoting California heritage and history.

But I can't support secession or independence for California, it's state government is even more screwed up then the Federal government.

besides I might want to run for Vice President someday...
