i was wondering which piano you are using. im interested in getting an electric piano and i was wonderring which one do you have. btw i love every one of your videos since yann tiersen is my fave composer.

@timburtonfan01 Yamaha YDP-161. I don't think they sell them anymore. I bought it cheap because they were getting rid of "old stock". However, I'm pretty sure any digital piano right now in the price range of 500-1000$ would be even better sounding than this one.

I love your playing and camera view! May I ask what your camera and microphone set up is? I have a beautiful grand piano that I play, it sounds gorgeous, but I just cant seem to get a good sound out of the Flip camera phone I have. :P Any sugestions?

@samsurgalski I don't use a microphone, this is a digital piano so I record the raw sound straight into my computer, and then I have an HD camera for the video, and I put the two together in post-production! Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting! :)

Yes, I use teh AT2020 (not USB version though, regular XLR one), however, not to record piano. THe piano is digital so I record directly from it!

Thanks a lot for the comment on the quality! Glad some people notice hehe, that was my whole goal, to try and be a step above most of the musicians on Youtube and try to have the best sound quality I can. On that note, I've seen your videos, and your sound quality is just as good. But, if you're still not happy with it, then I need to know YOUR workflow, and maybe try and figure where it's lacking in steps. I deff don't have any tricks in bypassing YT compression, i only wish i did :p

also, just thought of it, the quality of your audio will be affected by the BITRATE you encode your overall VIDEO.

I don't know what programs you use to edit and export your videos, but pay attention to the bitrate associated with your export. It basically allocates how much space is going to be used per second of video. The higher bitrate = the higher overall VIDEO quality retained + higher overall AUDIO quality retained, since when you export a video you are essentially compressing it.

I use a digital piano and also do some equalizer effects to the audio afterwards to make it clearer!

What don't you like about the ending? This is my interpretation of the song, but still I'd love to hear some constructive criticism on my playing. The notes are like the original, I just put more emphasis on that part... :)
