  • Me and my mom just bought your book, looking so forward to reading it .. it takes a little while before it gets here (Denmark) :-)

  • @nethebete Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!

  • You need to do more research on mental illness and religious experiences:

    watch?v=5z4B5BYbjf8

    watch?v=zahFKGVpQGg

  • @zarkoff45 Good videos. Limited perspective, but good videos.

  • giving a spiritual awakening person toxic bipolar chemicals would fuck them up tbh

  • they have been labeled by doctors as bipolar and given lots of toxic chemicals thats why they are now fucked up, I hate the system

  • keep searching!

  • can you help me understand one of your points? When you talk about tribal people you say their thinking is on the lower end of consciousness, thus demons etc. In my mind, i connect that thinking with spiritual emergency as well, many of the traits seem to cross over. That's why I would consider tribal people on the higher end of consciousness or vis versa, i just mean that i see them on the same page, conscious wise. can you clear this up for me? thanks, great great video!!

  • @G1E1K38 Sure, I recommend watching all my videos on consciousness...#9-11 and 13-16. The last two deal with tribal consciousness in much more detail. It is a very complex and politically charged subject! To really understand where I'm coming from, you need to see those videos.

  • Dear Sean,

I have been on an SSRI for a couple years now for anxiety and panic attacks. I have tried to quit or just lower the amount of medication before, only to experience panic attacks once again. This may seem off-topic, but panic attacks to me feel like a form of insanity/negative spiritual experience. I feel like I am in between the modern and post-modern consciousness, feeling some conflict between which to choose. I also probably have medium trauma. What do you recommend I do?

  • Actually, scratch that, I used to be at the modern level, but have probably been at the post-modern level for several years. Interestingly, it was around when this shift happened that my panic attacks started. Since then, I have been feeling a pull from the outside world (parents, society) to move back towards a modern level. However, I am now feeling a pull from my inner world to move towards the "power of now" level...quite a dilemma indeed.

  • @McScreenName it seems like a dilemma at first...sit back and wait for it to evolve, keeping your mind free of societies worries is probably a good idea.

  • @McScreenName I hope to put an action plan in place over the course of 2012 on my support network, Wake the Planet. I would join us there. You can access it at bipolarorwakingupDOTCOM.

  • Thank you!

  • If your bi-polar then it's a delusion, no doubt about it. Mania is often euphoric, hence leading to that thought. And the rage and depression after is a simple philosophy. For example. You enjoy drunkeness but not the hangover. I sound very skeptical as I am an atheist. This is simply my opinion. Btw I'm diagnosed bi-polar and 16 years old.

  • I'm a skitzo & the penguins say what a great imformative topic on psychosis. Also the original complete science on consiousness is the Sanskrit Vedanta sutra or it's commentary Srimad Bhagavatam, the cream of the Vedas. Known as Krishna[Christ in english] consiousness, in which we link our consiousness direct to God in a loving relationship. We are a spiritual being NOW so living like one heals our consiousness. Our 'material' desires[lust] cause our sufferings, it's incompatable to the soul.

  • @bipolarorwakingup The mind is a broad spectrum. There is no definite normal, higher, lower forms of consciousness, reality, etc.: just being, living, coping, accepting and all is vanity. In the jungles of Africa, there is a tribe (probably extinct now) that had no words for up, down, before, after, etc and the tribe, according to the researcher, acted as if in unison: unison being key oneness and survival. There is only ONE. Out of many: ONE. Your video is misconstrued.

  • @chewinggumtester I talk about 'Normal' in the next video, #21.

  • @bipolarorwakingup I see now. Sorry I am new to this Youtube since creating my account a couple three weeks ago. You have many ideas: an overwhelming amount of ideas. It must have been my "ego" responding to you the first time. I was afraid that you were touting scientology beliefs about doctors, but rather: it is an honest self appraisal through long, tedious hours of study. Still, my 2nd comment stands about "the Power of One," but not the "misconstrued." Your pieces are very tailored.

  • @chewinggumtester No argument from my on the Oneness....althought I don't always see it, that is for sure. I'm a messenger, not a master...

  • @bipolarorwakingup me too, "a messenger:" of what? I don't know. It is elusive, like Indiana Jones reaching for the grail and then having "the sense" to pull back at the end of that movie whereas the nefarious character burns ... pleased to meet you. Not sure if I have the wherewithal to sit through :30mins

  • @bipolarorwakingup look under my channel for "Aggravated Illness," which is my experience about the last ten years (since 2001) of my illness and note literary devices to explain what happened to me with regards to others and my illness. I am new to it, but it is words and images, like yours. Aggravated is 7:55. I will watch more of your vids in time. Thanks for all the hard work. Personally, I consider schizophrenia a double edged sword. If the kundalini awakes within you, that is meaning.

  • Yes you are correct. I am kind of bitter towards Bipolar - Mania..I had a friend one year ago go manic, and broke up with her boyfriend, that night he killed himself. I would have wished for meds, or spiritful help, both failed...I prayed very hard for her before that day and that the relationship would work...you are well read...I know you are smart...but $5.00 worth of meds could have saved a life. btw I do enjoy your videos, and you almost always site MDs.

  • @acchildhoodsend I think meds are useful for some people, and not for others. The whole point of this video is to help us figure out who might be best taking the risk of working through episodes meds free, and who would probably be better off remaining medicated. Thanks for watching!

  • You awaken bc you can't live the way you lived. You need to mature and curb the child's ego.

Bi polar disorder exists, bc one is egoistical clown(and/or bc of chemical imbalance), not as a symptom of Spiritual awakening. It can be one of reasons for change but it is not a symptom. Treat is as symptom and you feed the ego.

  • @MrDanielBowman74 With an intergral (or "power of now" as I call it) perspective on ego development, you will understand how 'curbing' the child ego and awakening the spirit are the same thing. Most people with BD are past that stage however. Their challenge is not to transcend the child-like, selfish, impulsive ego you refer to. These people are usually emotionaly repressed to some degree. Their tast is to transcend the modern, rational, adult ego.

  • @bipolarorwakingup

I don't think there are stages to ego. Once you honestly, sincerely admit on deepest level with no excuses that the source of your problems is you, bc you are coward and lying poser, you are cured of ego. Then you can fully embrace the enlightened principles of balance, love etc. you came up with earlier. Sometimes the ego comes back like 'BD was actually awakening not your mental deficiency' feeding itself and protecting ones image. I can be wrong, but this is pers.experie.

  • @bipolarorwakingup

When you begin to question your ego...harsh battle can ensue leading to paranoia, depression BD etc.. However that is your ego winning, not loosing. This suffering can lead to awakening or not. The actual awakening, when you win over ego takes less violent path.

child-like, selfish, impulsive ego and adult ego are ONE both being approval junkies longing for love and respect forming one ego-false image to receive love and/or respect.

  • My experience: My Conscience challenged my Ego. Battle ensued and I experienced 'mixed' episodes as you mention. I was able to negotiate ceasefire after approx. 4 months (no medication). And I was able to slowly defeat my ego in two years, mainly by being sincere to myself. The biggest trick my ego pulled was to try to persuade me that the violent period was not 'me being idiot' but 'me being awakened at that time', therefore 'special' the whole time. Question your motives and experineces, sir.

  • wow, you rock!

  • Interesting

  • @DrAsIs143 I know a number of people who have recovered entirely and live free of medication - completely normal and healthy lives. (mind you, they fit the 'upper right' of my model). In fact, for me, my hospitalization of 15 years ago represented a genuine breakthrough. That is why I do this work. "Science" has turned a blind eye to the spiritual aspects of 'acute-psychosis' for far too long. People are not given an opportunity to heal because psychiatry denies what is staring them in the face.

  • @DrAsIs143 If you´ve you have watched the entire video you would be aware that I am not discounting the need for medications for a certain population of people being diagnosed as 'bipolar' today. As I mentioned in a comment below, there is no proof at all that bipolar disorder is biological in nature. NAMI explicitly states that there are no tests.

  • In fact, there is an article you may want to look up! Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase (MTHFR) Genetic Polymorphisms and Psychiatric Disorders: A HuGE Review.

  • Sir, with respect, what is your formal education? You give so much information in every video,..... some that could help, but maybe not...so advanced degrees in theology and psychology would justify your statements…otherwise it is based on one person you…be careful. With the degrees you would establish credibility…

  • I do agree that degrees may establish credibility but it is not necessary to have an advanced degree in Theology to understand the Spiritual workings of the mind. I've know several people with advanced degrees in theology that have no idea of the concept of Spiritual Awakening. Also, I agree that this information needs to be taken as one person's experience who has researched many sources to make sense of his experience. Perhaps, in his book he has put in a disclaimed it is not meant to be TX.

  • @acchildhoodsend My only justification is your personal experience. If you have had an experience of what is normally labelled 'acute psychosis' much of what I say you will identify with. With that said, all of the material I share in my work comes from a combination of personal experience, experience working with a few others directly, (family members included) feedback from 1000´s of people with bipolar disorder, and, most importantly, the work of Doctors Grof, John Weir Perry, & David Lukoff

  • @acchildhoodsend don't go blind at looking at degrees. there are a lot of doctors in the world who are clueless about life. don't believe everything you hear. keep thinking and exploring.

  • this video and all of his others are a denial that mental illness is real biological illness.

  • Actually, there is no biological evidence of mental 'illness'. As a result, psychiatrists here in Brazil no longer refer to schizophrenia or bipolar disorder as 'mental illnesses' or diseases as they have no proof of such. They are only refered to as disorders, and it is fully accepted that no such tests for these disorders exist.

  • @bipolarorwakingup

That is just factually wrong and if you care about the issue do some research on the subject. Don't spread BS that might cause someone to forgo medical treatment that might save their life.

  • @MrXSpeaks Factually wrong? Please send me the link showing me the test for any mental disorder listed in the DSM4. You are the one spreading bullshit, sir.

  • Respond to this video... "Not one laboratory marker (of a DSM defined mental disorder) has been found.." Kupfer et.al 2002.

  • hmmmm you should seriously question Wilbur and his hierarchy. That is my advice :)

  • @zezt Still not drinkin the Kool Aid, eh zezt? Maybe that 11/11/11 portal will make a difference. ;-D

  • Sean, you are a genius, your videos are so awesome and clear, how can ANYONE hate you for all these effords you are making with your gorgeous videos. I have to say, i had ALL these experiences, and now i seem to ease-down, finally, after allmost 20 years of suffering, mixed with periods of intense bliss and enjoyment, being 'bipolar' is a gift in a curse and a curse within a gift, it's all ONE, Ying and Yang, and we are experiencing the complete spectrum of spiritual conciousness. Love, Zohra

  • @zohrats Thank you Zohra, glad you get so much out of them!

  • @bipolarorwakingup No Sean, Thanks YOU, for taking the time to make these videos. IT gives a lot of piece of mind, knowing there are people outthere, having the same kind of experience you are going through. And that you are not alone in your process. I write a lot about my situation also on my blog, unfortunately it's in dutch :) I am absolutely sure it is a spiritual awakening, because right now we are going through the process of 'ascension'. Have you ever heard of it?

  • @zohrats A process of ascension? Not exactly. What is it? I have high hopes for your part of the world!

  • @bipolarorwakingup Hi Sean, i shared a url about 'ascension' on your channel-comments, because videocomments do not allow url sharing :) In fact the 'ascension' process is a cosmic event, that has to do with big groups of people 'ascending' from one level of conciousness to the other level, DNA reprogramming and advancing the inner self. You should do a google search on Ascension, i think it might be interesting material for you because it alligns with your videos, really!

  • To be honest to you I went through all these levels you talk about from bottom to the top, from the left to the right... shit I could write a book of 666 pages about all my bipolar experience. Everything you say in your videos match up with all that happened to me back when I was still living in Boston... nowadays I am on medications: risperidon and valproic acid and I have to tell you that I am doing fine. I will in the future make videos on my channel telling all my experience. Peace.

  • Thanks for these upploads..i have had an spiritual emergency and i still think it's goin on...it have healed almost all fear and missperceptions by having this knowledge...it was very scary in moments(3days or so in many episodes) but information like this in the background of these experiences made it much easier..
