no but I heard it almost run about 10 years ago. I dunno whats wrong with it. only think I can think is the carburetor, cuz its got good spark and compression. I just cant figure out that carburetor. I imagine since clinton sold out to tecumseh, the carburetors probly a lot like an old tecumseh of the time. I wish I knew what brand and how old that mower is- almost looks home made doesnt it? kinda like a satellite dish with wheels and a handle
I shoulda left the Moto-Boy(power reel)out. I shoulda said which one did I get started that works good enough to cut with. I'd like to get the Moto-Boy to work, but it needs a new rubber rim on the wheel hub. it just spins like a one legged duck
i have a moto boy! mines earlier though! mine is powerd by a briggs WI ill have to look up the engines date code! that needs a ton of work, im going to try though!
that 5S thats on there had a 1950 date under the flywheel. that engine wasnt originally on there- I found it in my grand dads barn and stuck it on there. I dont know what was originally on it. so does yours have a kick start?
the guy that gave it to me said he had another engine just like the 2 cycle, but I havent ask him about it in a few years. I guess I could next time I'm by there- think I should?
I'm not real for sure. since it has a steel deck, I'm guessing about 1980 or not long after. it was real nice when I got it. it had a 2cycle tecumseh, which I still have most of. I didnt realize the crank shaft on the Briggs I put on it was too short. it was a nice little mower. -when it would run. I dont see too many 19" Snappers around.
I'll post a video of the front of them. man, I wish we could instant message or something
