Yep I haven't seen this elsewhere, although I haven't looked for it before now. If trout do this in Tassie I'm pretty sure it will happen elsewhere. I'd like to try sharking in NZ; I'm sure it must happen there sometimes. They've been doing this in Tasmania for about 15 years. You need a strong Northerly so the sun is behind you, with good sized waves that you can polaroid through and a decent boat that allows you a high vantage point. Browns look like Mars Bars, rainbows torpedoes. Cheers, Paul
amazing!! with those conditions (wind, bright sun, waves ) is not typical to have such a hungry-trout hysteria!!! you were really lucky!! it seems more the fishing in the amazon or other place having fish like piranhas or other hungrier-than-average species.
